  • Where bookmarks are located so I can backup a dvd using burn now?

I can't save my Firefox Favorites to the dvd. I've been back up Favorites (XP), but I just noticed that the bookmarks in that folder are not my current Firefox bookmarks that are displayed on the bookmarks Firefox "drop-down." Where are bookmarks to see them and burn them on dvd using Ulead burn now? I followed the path C: > docs and settings > username > application data > Mozilla but I couldn't find all the bookmarks in a folder in the folder of Mozilla. I wouldn't be able to see these bookmarks in a folder? Thank you for your time and your consideration. A.C.

You can create a backup of the bookmarks HTML.

    • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > export bookmarks as HTML

Such a file can be opened in Firefox and is not difficult to interpret in a text editor (an HTML editor should do a better job).

  • After the OS from Vista to Windows 7 upgrade, lost bookmarks. Could they be somewhere in "windows.old"?

    Hello

I upgraded my OS from Vista to Windows 7 and lost bookmarks, I had in Firefox. Back up my documents files and they are OK. Unfortunately, I don't think to back up my Firefox bookmarks.html file.

However, I did the upgrade of the operating system from the disk and a "windows.old" folder has been created which seems to have a lot of my old files, applications, and others, but I can't find "bookmarks.html" in the firefox folder or in my user folder.

Is there another place in windows.old where bookmarks could be, or a different file name, it may be under?

Please help, there are a few important bookmarks that I lost and which were accumulated over several years.

    Thank you!

Firefox has not used the file bookmarks.html for storage of bookmark since the release of Firefox 2. You need a JSON bookmark backup file or the file places.sqlite. See this:

    http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile

Your old profile is located here in Windows Vista and Win7:

    drive: \Users\Windows login user name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile_name

You may need to display 'files and hidden folders' in Win7 to be able to access the Firefox profile in windows.old files and the new installation of the OS.

  • No bookmark button visible to the right of the House icon in the bar of navigation in FF 7.0.1. Solution?

No bookmark button to the far right of the navigation bar has never been visible here since I upgraded.

An icon for bookmarking appears in the url window, but where bookmarks can go and how to get there, a bookmark button to the right of the icon/Home button in the navigation bar, less is a mystery.

I have looked in the help and various options and settings of an answer, does. Googled for an answer, does.

    An answer, suggestions?

    Thank you.

You see only this button on the toolbar of Navigation if the menu bar is hidden (uncheck view > toolbars > Menu bar)

  • How it synchronizes work? where is the master sync file?

When I use sync, where the master synchronization file is? The last two times I used sync, none of my favorites, history etc. have been transferred to the new Firefox. You want a new version of Windows 10. The other was a version of PCLINUX. both are on the same computer. Do I have to import/export instead of synchronization?

1 sync "synchronizes" all selected data so that it is the same on all devices.

    2. the 'master' file is on the server synchronization, insofar as each device data are sent to the server, where the data is merged. Once each device is connected to the sync server, the data must be the same on each device and the same as on the server.

    3. the export / import will work to transfer bookmarks on a device, adding the existing bookmarks on the device. Do that more than once and you end up with a lot of duplicate bookmarks and folders of bookmarks; Unlike synchronization where bookmarks duplicate as a group.

  • Cap5 need to disable bookmarking but not as simple as it sounds

Hi, we really need someone help because I'm out of ideas.

We use Oracle LMS and Cap5 using SCORM1.2 author.  The problem is the following:

1: we report our LMS main HTM file on our Web site

2: republish us files direct to our website

3: our Cap5 settings are for bookmarking

4: when republish us our Cap5 files after editing inevitably some of our users (we have about 7 000) are to halfway through the learning object we have just updated.

5: when they re-connect and try to go to the learning object they were trying to finish (one we just edited)-it crashes just on loading.  If they have not yet made this object, all right, if they have already done, all right.

My question is: first of all, is the hanging because of the recovery/bookmarking and second, what can I do about it?

I am very happy disable bookmarking (each presentation e-learning is some 50 slides) but that republishing this will solve the problem or what I need to change all the HTM files?  I do not yet know where bookmarking is stored (is it on our national LMS?), if so, there's these users totally exhausted and we have their renewal?

    Any guidance would be appreciated,

    Bill

PS We are a hospital National Health Service in the United Kingdom then your help would help a lot of people

First of all, your process seems very strange. Maybe it's just how Oracle LMS works... but in all LMS products, I've worked with (except Blackboard) and according to the SCORM specification, you should download the 'lessons' to your LMS as .zip files (technically, the "pif" files, but .zip is the only type of "pif", I saw)... not the LMS of pointing to a HTML file on your website and not publish the lessons directly to your Web site...

    But maybe it's a tangent...

I could see where the republication of the lessons could cause a problem. If CP stored specific information about the progress of user on version 1 of the lesson, the lesson is republished and that information has changed (i.e. 'user is out on slide 15', but the new lesson has only 14 blades), then we understand why the lesson is to have bad back - user "suspend_data" being pulled from the LMS can no longer apply to the lesson has been published in some respect.

THEN disabling bookmarking might work... However, the LMS already has given progression of this user and if she turns this (suspended) progress data back to the lesson, when he took over, then it may well not important that the new lesson at bookmarking disabled - LMS will put these data rear suspension in all case. Affect only no bookmarking can have is when the user closes this new lesson, THEN the lesson CP will not send data will remind the LMS (ideally)... then when this lesson is launched * new *, should not resume.

The BEST approach may be either:

1 reset the inscriptions of users in the lesson, you have changed. How you do that depends on the LMS. On ours, I ran a report on users who have not completed the lesson and reset specific users so that their status is 'not started' instead of 'in progress '. In this way when they launch the lesson, it's going should be like if they get started for the first time.

    2. you can configure a new lesson and disapproves of the old... so all users that need to launch the lesson (be it for the first time or not) must begin the new lesson and may not raise the former, which is essentially from as well. How you do this, however, and here again, depends on what can make your LMS.

  • Where is the Menu bookmarks?

In Safari 10 I can only add bookmarks to the 'Favourites' section or to bookmark files, I created myself. I can't add to the bookmarks Menu more because apparently disappeared? Is this a bug? Now I can not add my favorites for the 'root' of the bookmark list more. My bookmarks section contains a list of folders of bookmarks and a few bookmarks in the upper slot that I did not put in such a folder. I used to select the Menu bookmark to add those and decided later if I want to move to a folder of bookmarks. But this Menu bookmarks option has now disappeared. It is not anywhere between my either custom files. So where is he past?

Open the Bookmarks Sidebar, then click on the URL, and then drag it to the bookmarks.

  • Where are my bookmark icons?

Where are my icons for my favorites? If I click on a bookmark icon dose not update. I know that some will never have an icon.
Most of them have Favorites icons when I boot in win7, but no victory 8, 8.1, win10, or XP on my system in multiboot. I use firefox sync and sync bookmarks to the top but not the icons. See the screen shot attached photo of win8.1
    Suggestions?
    Thank you

You can find "Reload-icons of Favorites" in the bookmarks menu.

  • where the fav icons are stored in the Firefox profile? You can drag and drop on the bookmarks?

Two related issues to fav icons:

1 where are the fav icon stored in my Firefox profile?

2 is it not warned to drag an icon on an element of bookmark on my bookmarks (no icon) bar and it updated the icon? (I have a right-click on the bookmark and I couldn't see any field of fav icon.)

    Thank you

Favicons are stored in the file places.sqlite and bookmarks.

No, you cannot drag a Favicon in your bookmarks. If you drag a tab favorite icon, all that would happen is that you would be again to add the bookmark and the favicon may not be kept if it was not the first time that you have saved the first time. Try it and see what happens...

There is no field for Favicon in the context menu of bookmark. There used to be a couple of extensions available at different times which allowed users to add a favicon to a bookmark, but it's been a while that we have seen this type of extension that was compatible.
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/Favicon-Picker-3/
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/Favicon-Picker-2/
Neither have been updated after a Firefox update beat each at different times, and nobody has updated '3' a final which broke.

  • where is the location on my office found for bookmarks

Don't know if anyone will answer this question correctly? And when it comes to time, I do not have much of it. I work my butt off the coast to be sitting here wasting time on the simple search for information. The real question, I so, where is the folder of bookmarks on my desktop PC? I have Windows 7 Pro and I use Mozilla Firefox 34.0.5 I fed up with Internet Explorer, however I don't like the way Internet Explorer stores Favorites on my desktop PC. I gave a direct description to what I want to know and I expect a direct response, some little stretched run answer me here and there. Like all communities support, everybody thinks that everybody asks that question has time to spend days, weeks, months looking for a simple answer to a simple question. Like night and day is it such a folder for Firefox, as it is for Internet Explorer, registered on a PC. Thank you for your time and information.

Firefox has nothing to do with the favorite folders. As I said, Firefox stores bookmarks in the places.sqlite file in the profile folder.

    Apparently, you have two profiles.
    C:\Users\? \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\d8rkjo4v.default
    C:\Users\? \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\m8kaaqri.default

Check the dates on the files in the profile folders to see who is the most recent or the one used most recently.

'Files' in Firefox bookmarks are a graphical representation for for user interface display. Bookmarks are not stored in separate folders, as with Windows / Internet Explorer.

  • My Bookmark button has disappeared and I can't find where he was going.

I recently had to reset Firefox because of some malware and when I started it back up my bookmarks toolbar button is missing and I don't know where he was going. I'll upload a screenshot showing what I mean. On the left is what it looks like now and on the right is what it looks like.

    You use the default theme?

    • Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Open the Customize and set the toolbar to display items.

    • Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize
    • If the missing elements are in the palette to customize then drag them back into the window to customize the toolbar
    • If you don't see an article on a toolbar and in the palette to customize, then click on the "Restore default settings" button to restore the default toolbar configuration
