where is itunes 12.3.3?

I know that apple released 12.3.3 today, but it is not available in the title of the update of the apple software. If I open iTunes and updates, it says 12.3.2 is the version of date until. Frustrating, it was a series of BONES Watch, TV BONES and updated iOS updated today. I just want to get the latest tedious update done. I assume no one else it is offered?

It is available here > http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

It is not necessary to update directly from your iTunes application.

  • Problems with iTunes library shared between 2 computers

I have a rather unique situation where I have a single iTunes library that is shared by both computers. It has worked well for years, until lately. Here is my configuration:

    • Mac iMac server software. All my music is on a USB drive 3 TB (named 'music'), attached to the mac. Its static IP address is 192.168.1.15.
    • MacBook Air. This computer connects to the iMac on the LAN, where the iTunes library lives, as well as all the music.

Each computer is running OS X 10.11.2. All I have to do is to make sure that iTunes is left on a mac, before I start it on the other.

The problem that happens lately, is that on the iMac, for some songs (not all), when I try to play them, he tries to access it through the network on its own IP address, which gives an error that it cannot connect to the server at 192.168.1.15. It's like the iTunes on the iMac it'S the iTunes on the Macbook Air, if it tries to access music on the network, on himself.

iTunes works fine on the Macbook Air, but I noticed sometimes when I play iTunes, it mounts a second instance of hard drive of the music, because I see in a finder window that it is connected to the iMac and also connected to 192.168.1.15 (IP address of the iMac).

I opened the iTunes library XML file and noticed that there are a bunch of songs which the path is "/ volumes/music-1/musicfolder/songname.mp3", but most were "/ volumes/music/musicfolder/songname.mp3". So I did a search and replace for 'music-1' to change it to just "music". This does not seem to make any difference with the problem, and when I have opened the XML file, I saw that iTunes had sprinkled in a lot of instances 'music-1' again.

    So my question is:

How to return to the iMac looking for its music files locally, instead of through the LAN, on its own IP address? If the path in the XML file is "/ volumes/music/musicfolder/songname.mp3", which then determines whether iTunes search for this path locally or via the LAN? Is this info in the iTunes library. ITL file?

    Help! Thank you.

iTunes creates the .xml for other applications to use. The .xml content 90% reflect the content of the .itl. iTunes uses only the .itl.  If you want the .itl update changes in the .xml, you need to delete (or remove) the .itl, then launch iTunes. It will start with an empty library, and then you import the .xml. Note This will deliver the game counts to zero, delete all the logs and reset the date of addition to our days.  By doing what you have just used iTunes the .itl as usual and has replaced the .xml as it usually does, with the same credentials as before.

I don't know the cause of the problem or the real nature of it.  It can be by using the server software is at the origin of this.  iTunes is not really set up for connections to the server of fancy, simple old external hard drives.  Usually when I see this kind of question on the forum it is because someone uses a library on a NAS.

  • NEW Prob with the creation of Itunes folder

With the help of wind 7. Sorry if I post in the wrong place... first post

I use Itunes 10.  I tried to update recvd ' message cannot get server '.» I will update later, or can someone tell me the answer to this problem?

My main problem is I moved my library in another drive.  Lost all my playlist, etc. (always have the files).  Tried many variations of repair by trying some other .itl file and .xml files. Now finally decided to REBUILD (have all music, etc.).  My BIG problem is that I can't start AGAIN.  I try and deleted all the folders to Itune.  Trying to FIX this prob. I created a situation where when ITunes all my Itune for opening files pop up on my desk.  I made changes in the preferences (location changed Itune file) but Itunes still removes the files on my desktop...  ICAN can't stop it. I uninstalled Ver 10 (after trying to update) and always the same prob.

Please PLEASE HELP... Sorry to say, I have worked with it for 3 days and I got frustrated and lost. Please help me get this new database has started, and I'll pick the prob of update as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Thank you

iTunes data appearing on the desktop may be the result of incorrect permissions. For more information, see fix for iTunes for Windows security permissions . Take a look at make a library of portable split. If you want to create a new library, you need to press on and hold the SHIFT key as you launch iTunes, then use the option to create a library. If you still have the old .itl file I can help you fix the library if you put all the pieces together in the standard layout.

  • Double click in iTunes doesn't work for a song

    Hello

I have iTunes 12.3.3.17 on an iMac running 10.10.5 Yosemite.  I have a strange problem where in iTunes, I double-click on a particular song, but the next time song.  The next song played depends on whether or not I shuffle defined or not.  If shuffle is set, the next song is random.  If shuffle is not defined, then this is the next song in the album.  I can double click on any other song in any list, and it will play.  It's the only song that I found that will not play.  Still, it climbs to the next song.  I can be in a playlist.  I can be in 'my music '.  When I double-click on this song, always plays the next song.

Something that may be related or not... a strange thing happened when I was downloading this album on the iTunes store.  My iMac has encountered an unexpected error and restarted itself.  When I logged in, things are although had downloaded all the songs.  But I'm running into this issue with this one song.  This is the first song in the album.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thank you very much.

The audio file may be damaged. Since you downloaded from the iTunes store, you should be able to remove it and then re - download the purchase without problem.

    Hello Wilyd,

I understand that you have a problem with the first song on the album that you downloaded from the iTunes Store.  The best way to solve the problem is to remove the song and it download on the iTunes Store.  If the second attempt not only success, so I'll include a link to the iTunes Store Support team so that they could watch that particular file.   Here is the information you need:

  • Adding folder music iTunes

I created a folder of compilation of songs of Christmas favorite on my pc, the problem I have is that when I try to drag the folder in my folder music in itunes so I can sync with my Iphone 4 it copies all of the individual tracks and not the actual file. I even tried to add folder via the drop down file menu.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm tired of having to remove tracks whenever I try to add the folder!

    Hello UKmexicano,

Looks like you have a folder with the music that you want to add to your iTunes library to sync to your iPhone, but follows the individual rather than the folder with the added titles. This is expected behavior since the only folders in iTunes can contain playlists. However, you can create a playlist on your iTunes library with the following article, to which you can add the contents of your folder:

12 iTunes for Windows: create a playlist

When that is created, open the playlist in iTunes and do slide the pieces inside while they are all grouped together in a single playlist which you can then sync on your iPhone.

    Keep this in mind though:

Windows: default, adding items to your iTunes library places a pointer for each file in the iTunes folder. the original file remains in its current location. For more information about copying files in the iTunes folder instead of creating pointers to them, see change where your iTunes files are stored. If the file is a non-protected WMA file and you have the Windows Media Player 9 series or later installed, iTunes performs a copy of the file and adds it to your iTunes library. The original WMA file remains unchanged. You can't add protected WMA files or WMV files to iTunes.

  • 12.3 iTunes gives me the beach ball on each order as I click

For the love of God Apple or someone help me. I already worked with the support of apples and tried everything they could think. In the end, more than a month, all they could tell me is that there is a problem with the software but no solution, and they do not know when they can fix. It makes me crazy! I get the beach ball to change the titles. If Apple knows that the thing does not work out why? They also told me that I can't roll back! Someone else out there with the same problem or solutions?  Help, please!

I ask that your request be relocated to the iTunes for Mac forum where competent iTunes users will be able to help you.

  • Using a single iTunes library on two computers

    Hello

I have a Macbook running El Capitan and the latest version of iTunes. I have an iMac running Yosemite and the latest version of iTunes.

I currently save the laptop on the desk. I would like to be able to open the iTunes library for my laptop on my desktop, but when I try to do this iTunes tells me it cannot locate the files.

    I've tried a few things.

iTunes organizes my media folder but doesn't not automatically copy it on it.

I moved all my music files, so that they were in a folder in the iTunes .itl file, but the hierarchy above is different for both laptop and desktop.

I read everywhere and discussions seem to suggest its possible, but no one has described the problem I have.

With the help of pictures, I was able to do what I want with iTunes either open the backup of the laptop on my desk (although I can't tried editing photos so I just looked at the pictures)

So I'm a little stuck and would be grateful if anyone can help us with that.

    Thank you very much

    Gareth

You may not use the same library iTunes, two Mac.  If the two Mac tried to access and update the library even at the same time, it will probably cause data corruption.  But the library file (which is a database) is not identical to the location where your iTunes Media files are stored (which is what occupies more space).  By default, the iTunes Media folder is in the folder that the file to iTunes library.  But you can use iTunes preferences Advanced tab to change the location of the iTunes Media to an iTunes library folder.  However, two Mac share the same iTunes Media folder is also not ideal, because if you make a change (for example, the addition of a new song) to a Mac, the other Mac iTunes library will not know this change.

The best solution, I think, is to use the share at home with two Macs.  If the iMac has 'primary' iTunes library, set to share its library on your home network.  This is done in the tab of sharing a iTunes preferences.  You can access iTunes library to the iMac for iTunes running on the MacBook.  All media files are stored on the iMac and the MacBook has access to the same files.  You can set the iMac iTunes library to download automatically the iTunes Store purchases on other devices (which use the same Apple ID), including the MacBook (on the Bank of iTunes preferences tab).  Keep the library iTune to the iMac as the master repository with "everything." the MacBook can have its own separate iTunes content (for when it is outside the iMac), but when he is on the same network, iTunes of the MacBook can directly access the iMac iTunes library (provided that the iMac is not turned off or sleep).

  • Move music from iTunes to Windows Media Player

How to import my iTunes music in Microsoft Media Player? These are files of music from a CD that I own and ripped in iTunes.

If they are not in mp3 format using iTunes to convert. Note where they are placed. Close iTunes, launch WMP and "point" where ever iTunes stored the files. Add to the library.

Or if they are already in mp3 format, just note where they are stored and 'point' WMP for them. Add to the library.

  • audio book

Perhaps a bit complicated, so I'll try to break it down into bitesized as follows:

1 ripped an audiobook 11 CDs for my Macbook Air. Enjoying listening to viaiTunes game as a medium of Spoken Word, using iTunes game to enjoy in my car via my iPad or iPhone
    2. Decides that it would be cool to have it as an audio book, then he would remember from there where I did play
    3. on my MAC MINI (NOT my MBA), I've selected all MP3 300 - ish and then makes a command-I, added my album art, went to Options, Audiobook selected as media type and reclassified

    4. (I wanted to download the files to iCloud on my MacMini, where my iTunes library backup on an external hard drive, but for some reason it wouldn't download.) But like a fool I advanced and reclassified all the files in a single audio book.)

    5. after reclassification the book, I got a screen advising me that audio books can now be heard exclusively in iBooks.
    6. my newly combined audiobook is not in iBooks, or longer as mp3s in iTunes on my Mac Mini. It is still there on my MBA, merged, unreclassified in audio book.
    7. I want to listen to that tomorrow - what should I do? Where IS the book now? How can I listen in iBooks? If I had known this pain in the * it was going to be, obviously I would never have clicked on 'Audiobook' Media type...

    Thanks in advance.

Change back the kind of media to music. Assuming you are using iTunes game items should appear in your music library to iCloud again.

    Well, that's a major issue.

You need iTunes to get your iPhone works.  In addition, you need a recent version of iTunes interface iOS 9.
