Where is my free space?

Everyone knows their free storage space without doing you anything endangered? I keep the deletion of a lot of things. Really, I make sure that I don't have a lot of things in my phone because I have only 16 GB of space. Even just whatsapping, I am careful not to save the media that my friends send me, but I quickly get my space is almost out. What have I done? I went to check my storage space and I realized that I was with 0 bytes! So I went to google and saw that other people know it. Solution was to backup your phone to iTunes and do a factory zero I did last night. After factory reset, I restore my backup and guess what, I had 6 GB of free space! I was happy and angry at the same time. I've never had any bad experience when I used apple front and it is a first and it is quite frustrating because I really thought that I used so much space that I kept my deleting music and kept to transfer my photos on my laptop, but when it is in fact a phone/system error? The next day came that it is today, the phone memory is declining slowly and I haven't done anything for her! I realized this is beginning to happen when I upgraded my phone to the latest operating system. Do I need to downgrade or something? Happy if I can get the best response. Finally, I want to understand why I have only 11 GB of space for us when the phone has 16 GB of space?

Completely remove the Whatsapp application for now.

See you soon,.

It is not necessary to access the System Volume Information folder to manage the contents of the folder.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. cCleaner comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.

Delete System Restore points may be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments. This makes it easier to hold the restore points for long periods without keeping large unwanted files, whose inflexible approach to disk cleanup fails to offer.

You cannot remove the last restore point using the cleaning disc or cCleaner. If the last restore point contains malicious software, you can turn off and then turn on system restore. This has the disadvantage that restore all points are removed when you want to keep more restore points that are not infected. How to get round this problem is to create a new restore point when you are satisfied with your computer is free of malware and then remove the infected restore point.

    http://www.gerryscomputertips.co.UK/maintenance3a.htm

You can resize the amount of disk space allocated for restore points. Select Start, Control Panel, system, System Protection, place the cursor on a Local Disk (C) (System). Click on the button configure, move the slider of the use of Max to the left to reduce disk space usage, click apply and then click OK. Restart your computer. Make sure you leave enough disk space to store at least four or five points restaurant.

  • where the free space is managed for automatic segment management space

    Hello
I am preparing for OCA and arrived by a question. which

Q: with management automatic segment-space, where free space is managed?

    A. to the extent of a created tablespace
    B. in the control file
    (C) in the data dictionary
    D. in the undo tablespace

    Answer mentioned: D

But as I know that the news of free space for automatic segment space management are bitmaps stored in the header of the segment.

    Please help clarify...

    Thanx.

    Ashutosh

    Dear Ashutosh,

Undo tablespace does not support segments and segment car space management can be applied to the locally managed tablespace. Segments of cancellation are dealing with the management of the undo tablespace IF you set undo_management auto. Otherwise the system tablespace and rollback segments will load to cancel (not recommended)

Dictionary managed tablespaces store the information in the data dictionary and controlfile doest not manage free space here and I assume that the answer to this question is A :) I hope I'm not wrong! :)

    Hope that helps.

  • Cant' import images of Photos because "it is not enough free space on the volume of your library to import the selected items.

    Hey guys,.

So I tried to import some ~ 8 GB of photos on my mac, but the Photos app gives me the following message: "there isn't enough free space on the volume of your library to import the selected items. It is estimated that you need at least X.XX GB of additional free space. »

Where X.XX represents the amount of GB it says that I need but it changes everytime that I reopen the application to attempt an import.

My mac has currently 44.4 GB so I don't know why this issue is coming.

    Any help would be great!

I own Canvio 500 GB external HARD drive
When I delete sonething, space will not grow.
    for example:
    I got 70 gb space.
    I deleted a 3.5 GB file.
free space is always 70 GB.

How can I solve this problem?
    Thank you.

In my opinion you did not check properly the available space.
Where the files have been deleted from the external HARD drive, I recommend you refresh the connection of drive HARD just to check if the available space would be indicated correctly.

Disconnect the external DRIVE of the laptop drive and plug it in again. Go to the properties of the HARD drive and check the available disk space

  • Free space suite iPhoto to move Photos

When I was invited to migrate my iPhoto library pictures, I didn't know I'd end up with double consumed disk space.

My Macbook Pro (mid-2012 retina) has a 512 GB HDD and my original library resumed ca 227GB, so woops, almost all of the capacity has been suddenly consumed.

So, step 1, to be sure, I copied the old iPhoto library on an external drive, where he consumed now 227GB.

I then deleted the original iPhoto library from the hard drive of my Macbook, expecting release of the same CA 227GB and emptied the Recycle Bin.

But now it looks like I won only about 10 GB of free space by doing this, so my almost full hard drive is almost full.

Is there some cleanup process I have to follow, in order to free the other 200 + GB I thought I'd be able to go back?

    TIA

When I was invited to migrate my iPhoto library pictures, I didn't know I'd end up with double consumed disk space.

    This isn't.

While both libraries claim to manage 227gigs of space, by the magic of unix hard links, it's the same 227 concerts, good enough. In other words, the two libraries are pointing to the same files on the hard drive. So, the removal of the iPhoto library back 10 GIG because it's all the content of the library that was exclusive to iPhoto.

Bottom line, you still have the same amount of space used, as you have, nothing has really changed.

Check if available hard disk space is available as recommended for the game.
The disk cleanup tool lets you free up space on your hard disk by searching your disk for files that you can safely remove. You can choose to delete some or all of the files.
You can perform Disk Clean up and then try to re - download the game to see if the problem persists.

  • Not enough free space on the drive to intall Brother MFL - Pro Suite

My PC is running Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 3 and I had my Brother MFC-9440CN multifunction printer for about 2 or 3 years and it worked without problems during this period.

However, I recently moved across country and since the implementation of my PC again once the scanner no longer works because the following error:

"Failed to start the control center. Required registry information is missing. Please reinstall the Multi-Function Suite (CC3-001-00001901).

So I uninstalled the suite already on my system so to re - install, and I now get:

"There is not enough disk space to install. Brother MFL - Pro Suite requires at least 44 MB of free hard disk space. »

I have 116 GB of free space on my C drive where everything is installed, so it's not logical to me, but now I can't do anything on my printer because the suite is currently uninstalled. How can I solve this problem? All the tips and advice would be most appreciated.

If it is a USB connection, try a different USB port.

1, however, make sure that all removed them from xp, go to my computer,.

Search, search all the files (hidden & protected), with the results, delete all.

Also, search using brother MFL - Pro, separate searches. Once through, go to

    run, type: regedit

In regedit, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, software, if its listed, R.click & clear. Close

outside, expand: HKEY_LOCAL_USER, software, do the same thing, close regedit when thru. Back to

    run, type: folder

In the new window, go to edit, select all, clear all, close when thru, (you can see the old

brother Software installation data 3 years ago if the temporary files were never deleted), run Disk Cleanup.

  • Run Disk Defragmenter has released more than 30 GB of free space!

I'm not used to run Disk Defragmenter Windows very often, but in recent weeks I have been through the very large import of my cd collection process on iTunes. My 'C' drive has a capacity of 222GB and I was at 9.68 GB of free space. I ran WDD but after 18 hours, he had still not finished! So I decided to cancel defragmentation, and after checking my 'C' drive, I found to my great astonishment that I now had 42.8 GB of free space! Then, I downloaded the DiskDefrag Auslogics free and running. She performed in a few minutes and showed the Windows defragmentation had done most of the work but for some reason any had not finished. Anyone know why?

I have decided to disabled Windows Defrag and will use in the future, the Auslogics version he gives information about the status of the defragmentation and seems to be much more effective and faster.

However, I am very surprised by the amount of free space that freed the defragmentation process. I searched on various forums of pc and other posters have said the complete opposite to my own experience. The common consensus seems to be that defraging reduces the amount of free space on a drive rather than increase it!

There also seems to be a difference of opinion on the amount of free space should be left on a hard drive to allow the computer to function effectively. I was a little more than 4% before I defragmented but I saw messages advising that we should let betweeen 10% and up to 50% (which seems to me to be silly!)

I would be grateful for any help anyone can give me, in particular, why the defragmentation released (in my case) as much free space.

A common mistake in logic. You assume that two things are related, because they are close in time.

Defrag does not change the amount of disk space. It only increases or decreases the free space or used.

Windows defragmentation runs every three days and optimizes the program and load the system boot. This is not controllable. It is also not a defragmentation of data file.

Using another Defragmenter will fight with Windows.

NTFS (and FAT32) resist fragmentation. Most fragmented files are log files and will fragment 1 second after defragmentation.

Windows only writes files where there are a lot of space to write prevention of fragmentation. Do not fragment the files that do not change. Disk cache makes the fragmentation irrelevent.

Any recommendation on the free space are based on the best estimate on the way an average person uses a computer. Lack of free space does not work computer until it has zero. However, most people like to save their work and some Windows watchdog is going spastic, just before that you can't do anything.

As to why you have noticed a change in the use of the disc.

    1. system restore - this could be it.

2 disk Cleanup - it will take place in itself is space is extremely low

3 log files are created, deleted, written, etc.

    4. Windows automatically repairs physical disk errors. If defrag was having problems, you can check there is no car repair files.

It's a way see what may have disk operations occurred.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

    change c:\bootex.log

What is this file exist with something in it?

The following commands query the event logs.

To start verification by using the name of the source for any version of Windows (because it varies).

WMIC /append:"%userprofile%\desktop\DiskEvents.html" PATH Win32_NTLogEvent where (sourcename = "Autocheck" or sourcename = 'Winlogon' or sourcename = "WinInit") get format:HForm

    To run chkdsk in Windows.

WMIC /append:"%userprofile%\desktop\DiskEvents.html" PATH Win32_NTLogEvent where (sourcename = "Chkdsk") to / format: HForm

For warnings about disk problems detected during normal operations and automatic repairs by Windows at the time where the problems were discovered.

WMIC /append:"%userprofile%\desktop\DiskEvents.html" PATH Win32_NTLogEvent where (sourcename = "NTFS" or Sourcename = 'Disc') to / format: HForm

Then to view the created file.

    Start "" "% userprofile%\desktop\DiskEvents.html"

    Hello

Download and use this free program to see what's using your hard disk space.

    http://www.Jam-software.com/treesize_free/

You have already run Disk Cleanup?

    "Delete files using Disk Cleanup"

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup

And use this part of the disc Ceanup:

The other Options tab is available when you choose to clean up the files of all users on the computer. This tab includes two additional ways to free disk space even more:

    • Programs and features. Open programs and features in Control Panel, where you can uninstall programs you no longer use. The column size in programs and features shows how much disk space each program uses.

    • System Restore and shadow copies. Guests delete you all but the most recent restore point on the disc.

Use system restore to return your system files to an earlier point in time, restore points. If your computer is running normally, you can save disk space by removing the previous restore points.

In some editions of Windows Vista, restore points can include previous versions of files, called the shots and backup images created with Windows complete PC Backup. This information will also be deleted. For more information about system restore, search Windows Help and Support "system restore."

    See you soon.
