Where is my scan?

Recently, I've scanned something I want to attach it to an email, but when I open the finder, I can't locate this folder. The default location is something called 'images', but no folder with that name is displayed. I tried several methods to locate this folder but not luck, and no, this isn't "photo". I've got El Capitan. Where is it and how do I make this folder visible? And of course, why it scan to a folder that is not easy to find?

The 'Images' folder is probably one of the files easier to find, as it is shown by default on the side bar of the Finder. To find it, open a Finder window and choose "Images" in the sidebar. If it is not there, go to the Finder menu-> preferences-> Sidebar and mark 'Photos '.

Another option is to open a Finder window, select the menu go (in menu bar)-> go to the folder, and then copy this:

~/Pictures

Finally, the sweeping app should allow you to change the default folder, so you can do it if you wish.

I can't find where to start Scan HP and Capture.  Does not appear as an application and can not find any exe file in the program files. I seem to be only able to get it on the MS site where says "installed" and runs from there.  But I guess I can run directly from the PC, but for the life of me I can't find as an application or program.

    Hello

As mentioned above, I only use HP Scan and usually reinstall the software and driver should fix this. But you not cela and prefer to use HP Scan and Capture. Just for you, I ran the following steps:

    1. using Windows Store looking for this app (don't know why I couldn't find it yesterday, on this same computer)

    2. click on free to install

    3. open

Your question is probably a step above #3. Please try:

    (a) hold win, then press Q

    (b) type sca (as shown on the picture above) HP, HP Scan and Capture should be at the top

    (c) double-click to open it.

You cannot change the scanned document as you would for a normal Word document. The computer sees it as an image. You can get a PDF Editor and make comments, highlights and other, but you can make a Word document.

My only intention is to create a model/site based URM where we can provide functionality to scan for users. We want a distributed feature where users can scan the images remotely and commit to the WCC:Records / URM.

Is it possible to be done through Oracle distributed Document capture (ODDC) and if it is possible how to connect ODDC with the client browser. Please suggest

Ok. So, the answer is certainly: Yes, it is possible.

The part of analysis, this is exactly what ODDC is good for. Unless you have the license already, however, you may have to go with the product to Capture Oracle WebCenter (large companies), which provides the necessary also.

Regarding the validation and storage, ODDC/ODC/WebCenter Capture can commit images scanned at several depots, including University Complutense of MADRID (URM can be considered a Complutense University of MADRID with a specific purpose / several modules or components under voltage and configured). So, technically, he has no problem.

When I have little doubt, however, is the meaning of the scenario - declaring an item as a record is an important event in the life cycle of the document - a record is often (or always) cannot be changed to ensure the integrity and non-repudiation of information. In this perspective, a direct validation of a recording of a scanning system (where errors such as bad scans, lack of pages, etc can be expected, particularly if the scanning is performed by the end user in a distributed fashion - so, not very experienced) seems a little dangerous.

  • Where are my scans?

I'm scdanning of slides with a HP Scanjet G4050 scanner to a desktop HP using Windows 8.  I set it up to scan to file.  With my preferences set to save to TIFF, only the first slide of 16 scans of slides appear in the designated file folder.   I talked to a commercial technical support at HP today and he discovered that if I save a jpg file all 16 slides appear in the folder of files.  However, when scanning to a tiff file and I go to the folder that contains the slide that is saved and open it with a photo viewer, then all 16 slides are there and visible.  The tech support guy couldn't tell me where these files are stored so that I can get to them and categorize when I finished all my scanning slides.   I hope all this makes sense and we hope someone has an answer.

TIFF is better that JPEG is a subjective matter and depends on your archiving, editing and printing needs. You can read some articles compare/contrast (example here) before filling a whole bunch of TIFF, just to make sure it's the best format for your scanning application.

There are TIFF image splitter free programs that you can download. See this discussion on the root site.

  • Where's my scanned document?

I downloaded both documents scanned from my laptop.  They appear on my computer, (devices with removable storage) when it is connected to my laptop as Tif files, but I can't find them on my pre phone when I log out of my laptop.

I converted the tif files to JPEG and tried again.  Scanned documents are now in my photos; but as long as I can remember where they are, it will be fine.  Thanks for your help.

  • I'm scanning my computer. I have Windows 10. Where are my scans?

Everything seems to work with the scanner.   But I can not find my scans (Windows 10).

    @daylily01

Scan for Windows 10 up production (scanning) in the folder of Scans:

    C:\Users\Account-Name\Pictures\Scans

Most scanning programs allow you to control the location of the analysis, at least if you use the digitization program / computer software.

Analyze programs usually provide a function "save under" which allows you to choose the folder / location in which to save the scanned document / image.

The example that is provided in:

    Scan to the specified folder

    Hello

I have a LaserJet 3020 (also known as the Prod. N ° Q2665A), with which I would like to scan, when you use a machine Windows 8.1 (64-bit).

When I go to the HP support page, any downloadable software seems to be on the digitization, it is all about hologram.

Am I missing something?  Can scan you with the software available on this HP support page?

Here is a link to the support page to which I refer:

    Thank you!

    Hi JTK,.

The LaserJet 3020 uses scanning software is integrated in Windows 8. I guess the same is true for win 8.1. This page describes how to analyze with the scanning of Windows software:

Use the software in Windows 8 to analyze

    I hope this helps.

  • Where to configure the SCAN address?

    Hello

I'm in the middle of the installation of the cluster of grid infrastructure for Oracle 11 g 2 RAC on AIX 6.1

I had defined the public IPs, IPs private and interconnections in the files DNS and hosts. I do not use GNS because we use static IP, no DHCP address.

during installation, I will ask you the address IP SCAN, I prepared and resolved by the DNS, but I don't know where the configuration

SCAN IP address is not the ping requests but can be lookedup and I get the answer that he

When I put it, in the switch in a Rack or will I choose different installation method.

    Kindly advice

    Kind regards
    C.

whatever Rajesh mentioned URL. I think it's the perfect way to set up.

For the time being you can tent to configure only a single IP SCAN address in the file/etc/hosts in all nodes of the Cluster and try to move forward.

That very sure, it won't ping until the Configuration of the grid is not complete.

To activate the scan of the computer, see the procedure below:

Restart devices and check the settings of scanning driver

Restart the computer and the printer can restore the connection scan options analysis, and then check the settings for scanning on the Mac.

    1. Turn the printer off.

    2. Make sure that the printer power cord connects directly to an electrical outlet and not by a limiter the power strip or surge protector.

    3. Close all programs currently running on your computer, and then shut down the computer.

    4. Turn on the printer.

    5. Turn on the computer.

    6. On the desktop, double-click Macintosh HD, click Applications, click the Hewlett-Packard or HP folder, and then double-click the HP utility.

NOTE: If the HP utility is not in the folder, go to the step install the software for your printer HP.

    7. Under scan settings, click Scan of the computer, and then make sure the enable scanning to computer checkbox is selected.

    8. Try to scan.

If the error persists, proceed to the next step.

Follow all the steps in this guide, if this problem persists:

I hope this information is useful. Please reply to this message with the results. Good luck!

  • HP Deskjet 3510: HP Deskjet 3510 scans half the blurry photos

    Hello
I had a recurring problem where my scanner scans the fuzzy half page, no matter what I do. I had this problem for a while, he went, and now he's back. I tried to clean several times, I tried to put blankets dark on the scanner to block the light, I tried restarting my computer and the scanner several times, I tried scanning on several different computers, I tried various different settings, and hourly half page (sometimes less, sometimes more) is blurred While the other parts are usually clear (don't know not clear, but clear enough). No matter if I scan it as a document or a picture, it is still blurry.

If anyone has a solution, I would be happier!

    Thanks for your help,
I followed your steps and they were still blurred, but I understood what the problem was. I had to cut my work I scan because the edges of the paper overlap the scanning glass. Now they scan perfectly!

  • 'Scan to Network Folder' is available with envy 7640?

I am interested in replacing JO 8600 (N911) with envy 7640 iin all-in-one.

The 7640 has a similar feature that I use now with the 8600 where you can scan file to the network folder? If this is not the case, what current all-in-one models offer this?

Please let me know.  Thank you.

    Hello

This is not supported on the Envy 7640, direct scan to a shared folder is only supported on select HP Officejet and Laserjet printers.

You can check the Officejet from HP 8710 that provide these capabilities:

Scan digital files directly to email, network folders, and the cloud with preloaded business apps.

Because your message is clearly not your comments on the web site of Microsoft Answers, I moved from the Feedback forum on the forum "hardware and drivers.  Please return to your message, click on the right Edit button below and change the drop-down list of the Version of Windows to indicate which version of Windows you are using.  Then click on submit.

I have an OfficeJet and I set the location to analyze by using one of the utilities that I installed with the printer.  I can't remember which one, but if you have called "HP Director" try this one.  How yolu defined the location is documented in the documentation supplied with the printer.  If you do not, see http://support.hp.com/, which is the most appropriate place for you to find info on your printer.
