  My new mobile Quad TouchSmart HP ENVY 17 t has a touch pad, but no action left or right buttons.  How can I simulate their action.  Apparently a single tap simulates a left click, but how to do a right click?  How to drag a cell in a worksheet (to copy) using the touchpad?  I may end up using a mouse.

  I believe that this model has a ClickPad, which has no buttons left/right click separate but has left/right click zones where the buttons would normally be. For more information, see use and configure the ClickPad .

• Where are my Actions after installed DC?

  The installation of Acrobat DC has retired all my plug-ins, which is annoying, but not insurmountable. I can always update and re - install a plug-in.

  But she did with my Custom Actions that I created with the wizard of the Action? I don't remember how I created most of them, and they have simply vanished into thin air after the installation of CC DC. Don't tell me they are incompatible - they are Adobe Acrobat Actions!

• Where is the action?

  I use PS CS5 on a Windows XP computer. I noticed two or three times already: I create an action and when I come back to the program, at a later date, it is no longer in the Actions palette. I think the problem is that if the program is closed and then restarted, as happened today when I got to work - maybe the machine has restarted too, not sure.

  Also, I checked what I think is the folder default c:\program cs5\presets\actions of Adobe Photoshop, actions, and the actions listed do not seem to match those that loaded into the Actions palette to start the program.

  I had saved the particular action that get lost somewhere else so I was able to restore, but it never happened to me with all older versions of PS.

  Why isn't it in the Actions palette? Is there something you need to do to fit it?

  The current contents of the ACTIONS Panel is actually saved in a preferences file called panel.psp Actions.  The actions are not saved separately unless you use the entry to record the Actions of the menu drop down.

  I'm moving all my targets, jobs, etc OEM12cR2 to R5, and found problems on two instances where the add action button is not enabled.

  The two instance are in the same server, but I have others on a similar server with the same version of oracle and it works very well.
  

  I can't find what could be. Other OEM12cR2 works perfectly.

• With the help of a tip action to display a picture (or button) on each slide.

  I have a tip action that evaluates certain criteria. Advance action is called from several different slides in the presentation. Is it possible that I can get it to display a fixed image, if the criteria are met? It seems that I have to write a new, slightly different tip on each slide action to "show" the picture of each slide.

  Is it possible to share an image (or button) so that the tip action can do appear, any slide, you are on?

  I would like to know if I need to provide for additional details. Thank you!

  Technically your advanced actions are allowed to show or hide the images on the slide where they are actually executed.  If an advanced running on slide 3, for example, action will not be able to display or hide an image on slide 5.

  However, what you can do is to place the image on one of the slides earlier in the project and then assign timed for the rest of the project.  This allows you to SHOW or HIDE the image of any slide later in the project where your advanced Action is executed.

  I was wondering if someone could help me with the transition between CS5 and CS6 (cloud Creative). I am on a Mac with Mountain Lion.

  I would like to migrate all parameters (i.e. workspaces as appropriate), personal actions of Photoshop, plug-ins (i.e. Type DNA, FontShop [Photoshop], [Illustrator] Scriptographer and Blurb Template Creator [InDesign]) CS5 CS6 possible. What is the simpler and the gentler way to do this?

  Some settings, actions, and plug-ins may not work with CS6, I don't know. I can not find where my Photoshop actions are archived atm.

  Can I import the Adobe CS5 Extension Manager extensions to CS6 Adobe Extension Manager?

  Should I uninstall all CS5 applications? I like to keep InDesign CS5 for backward compatibility at least.

  Hearing completely replaces Soundbooth? What Flash Catalyst, Device Central and OnLocation?

  Edit: I installed applications Cloud Creative btw. But I did uninstall all CS5 apps yet.

• Chronology of the lines, THEN did end Action

  I have a timeline with several videos and chapters in it. In the project there are no substitutions. If the timeline is played, it gets to the end time, RESTARTS until the end, even once and THEN executes the end Action... No idea what's going on here, as I am new to the program. Help would be greatly appreciated!

  It is difficult to know for sure that you have no substitutions, so watch that you do the following.

  Look at each chapter in the timeline; one of them have a defined end action? I've had situations where an end action is added to a chapter marker without me defining an end action.

  Several videos on a timeline has produced odd results sometimes. No reason it should do what you describe. The most common current workflow is a single video by chronology, then a playlist for combining deadlines in a playlist.

  I am relatively new to advanced use of Captivate stocks (now using Cap5). I have a strong background in Actionscript, so programming concepts are not new for me. However, this relatively simple process has left me speechless. Here's what I have going. Using variables and advanced actions, I use multiple CHOICE answers as a matter of likert scale. I do this so I can send the user to a specific slide based on the culmination of a pre-test score and post test. So, in my blade of MCQ test I 5 responses and the value of each of them to assign a number to a variable, once chosen. That is to say. Click 1, strongly agree to assign v_Score1 to 1, click 2 are agree assigns 2 to v_Score1, etc. I then an expression that adds two slides responses (v_totalScore = v_Score1 + v_Score2). On the next slide, I show that v_Score1, v_Score2 and v_totalScore are in the legends. Then I have an action on a button that triggers another action called a_goToResults. a_goToResults is a fast action with two conditions. The first said if v_totalScore is less than 5 go to the next slide and hide legend blue (cap_Blue). The other condition is if v_totalScore is 5 or more to go to the next slide and hide the Red legend (cap_Red). Everything works except for the part of the skin. I named the legends and they selected in the drop-down list, so I don't know there are no typos. I can't make Captivate to hide the legend however. Someone at - it give me advice or know another way to do what I'm doing? Thanks in advance.

  On which the blades are these legends? I suspect they are on another slide of the slide where the peak action is executed?

  You can't show/hide an object with a tip action unless it is on the same blade where the action. I once blogged about display objects / masking. Perhaps it might help you:

  Hello, this is my first post - please be patient ;-)

  For a few years now, I worked on Photoshop CS2.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have no access more and just bought and received PS CS5 yesterday.  Many things have moved or changed and I need to catch up quickly.  But my big question now is: where are the 'actions' located now?  To be on the right side of the program screen.  I can probably load those I bought before, but don't know where it is to check first.

• Foldable Lightroom actions on Panel.

  It's driving me crazy... Somewhere in Lightroom 1.0, I was able to set a preference for the side panels where only folding action was opened at the same time. Click another arrow would shut down automatically fill. There, everyone use this feature? I am currently using Lightroom 2.0 and I wonder if can be set on this version. Thank you.

• I can't find delete an address expired in my address book.

  No matter how much time and places, I'm looking in all the groups, folders, and subfolders in my address book I can not prevent a former address, is no longer valid from one of my correspondents to appear as one of the 'auto fill' choices in my mailbox recipient. I can't find it to remove it!

  At first, I tried to remove old ads completely, but after doing this several times (over several days and it complete re-boots), he remained, cancelled, in all the places in my address book!
