Where should I install ADR 3.0.1 in Oracle 12 c to serve several PDB each with APEX bodies?

I have an Oracle 12 c with container root database CDB$ROOT , containing seeds PDB$SEED and 2 PDB files, namely APEX42PDB and APEX50PDB. I have installed 2 versions of the APEX, namely V4.2 and V5 2 separate data bases-ins, APEX42PDB and APEX50PDB respectively.  Now I need to know where to install and configure Oracle data services REMAINS V 3.0.1 (if all goes well they fixed the URL to a bug in this version of mapping) to be able to repair the two instances of the APEX.  Can I install it in the ROOT container or in a PDB or two of the PDB?  Finally, I want to be able to run the 2 versions of the APEX using distinct URLS for V4.2 and V5.0.  I want to just get it up and running on a standalone install ADR first and be able to point to V4.2 or version 5.0 via a different URL.

I fell on the details and steps during installation in a root container (see https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E56351_01/doc.30/e56293/ords_multitenant.htm)

If I need to install the ADR in the CDB$ROOT then I perform the steps above, before or after or instead of the normal, install the steps here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E56351_01/doc.30/e56293/toc.htm?

Thanks in advance

According to the instructions of Kiran,
I copied the directories images the two Apex 4.2 and 5.0 of the Apex of the installation for C:\apache-tomcat-8.0.28\webapps\i42\images and C:\apache-tomcat-8.0.28\webapps\i42\images directories files respectively.

I then put matching paths in context with the following commands
java-jar ords.war static - context-path /i42/ C:\apache-tomcat-8.0.28\webapps\i42\images
java-jar ords.war static - context-path /i50/ C:\apache-tomcat-8.0.28\webapps\i50\images

You don't have to copy the images in /i42 or /i50 directory. You must copy the contents of the Directory to /i42 or /i50 images.

The manual of your PC will explain what locations [USB, SD card, etc] has your PC, wherever they are, & what kind of cards they can work with.

If you have lost the manual of your PC then go to the website of Dell & look in the support section - they have a pdf copy of the manual that you can download.

  • Where should I install VMWare vCenter Update Manager?

I have a client vSphere VM (Windows XP), vCenter VM (Win 2003) and 6 Linux server VM on my ESXi server.

Should I avoid installing Update Manager on a virtual computer on the ESXi server, or if it is not serious?

I prefer to install on my client vSphere VM, but not sure that this has disadvantages because both the ESXi to-be-implementation to date and the VM Updater-Manager would be the same physical machine.

Even if the Update Manager is the preferred method, with the environment, you have (1 host, 6 VMs) I would consider updating the host manually (using vihostupdate) and don't even bother with the installation of Update Manager.

  • Where should I install Office remotely 6.1 for Windows Vista?

I need to install Remote Desktop 6.1 - I can only find a link to download for XP, but I am on Vista...

The XP version very well or is anyone know where are the address for download of Vista?

    Thank you, Nick

I don't think that there is a version of Vista.  Do NOT use the XP on Vista version - it can cause all sorts of problems, not only with remote desktop, but with all of the operating system - possibly to the point where you may have to reinstall the whole system.

Vista includes the remote desktop (on some versions, but not all).  Here's how to enable it:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/turn-on-remote-desktop-in-windows-vista/.  Why should you get this particular version?  What you try to do that the version of Vista can not do?  If you have a version that doesn't include remote desktop, there is no download to add it to this version.

    I hope this helps.

  • Where should you install Oracle database and grid Infrastructure in order to comply with OFA?

I downloaded two files compressed to the Oracle database installation, and both zipped install files for the grid Infrastructure.  The book I'm following for installation is said to use a directory of the database and a directory for the grid Infrastructure, but it does not explain where they should be located in OFA.  Probably they should both close up somewhere in the same Base of Oracle (since all Oracle related on a single file system should go in the same basis, according to my understanding), but it is not clear where they need to be installed over the other.  For example, the grid Infrastructure is a separate product that gets its own Oracle Home?  Anyone can shed some light on this process?

Also, does it matter where the zipped files are uncompressed?  For example, use one of these files after the installation process, or OFA only cares location after installation?

Yes, they go in separate oracle_home.  This should be explained in the respective Setup Guide.  This will be a CAR or a standalone ASM?  I have

It does not matter where you unzip the installation files.  They are only used for the installation.

  • Where should I install the Boot Camp updates: Windows or Mac?

With the help of Boot Camp, I have installed Windows 10 when my OS from Apple was Yosemite. Recently, I upgraded the operating system Apple to El Capitan. Today, while working on the side of Windows 10 things, I got a notice of pop-up that I should install the update for Boot Camp. So I have two questions actually:

    • (1) was not the latest version of Boot Camp included in the update of El Capitan? and,
    • (2) should I download it then install the Boot Camp update, when I run Windows 10 or when I'm on the side of Mac?

1 n ° with the exception of the Boot Camp Assistant, all components of Boot Camp are Windows software and does not part of Mac OS X.

    2. do Windows.

    Hello

I'm planning on ordering a new SSD to insert as secondary on this laptop. According to the manual of the unit, it has an SSD Slot for m2 but I couldn't identify it the first time I opened. However, I have a picture that I hope where in the Board of Directors is the m2 for the SSD connector?

Second question is, if this SSD would be comparible (model m2) to my laptop? If this is not the case, can someone point me to one between 256 / 512GB?

Now, I see the right slot. Not sure how I missed it. I only did you link to the manual, which is what would a HP technician if you could talk to one. The image of the motherboard in the manual is not correct. You're right, it is just a user to and sometimes they go wrong. Of course, my post was not the solution, but it's not as if they pay me for solutions. You can always go back and cancel a solution you gave and you should be if understand you more late it isn't fair. Again, sorry.

  • Where to place the folder forms and reports for oracle 10g on Linux server

    Hello...

Currently, iam has a migration to oracle 10g module.
All my modules which consists of form and report files are inside a
folder named PROJECT and placed in C:\ in windows server.
So when I want to call a form or a report I used the path as "C:\PROJECT\module_name\form_name.fmx."
My client now wants her project to be used in the LINUX-based server.

Now, I want to know where I should put my form project file and file reports
and how I should call them...

    Thanks in advance

Can you say how can I call reports as u said hardcode the path when the report is not a good practice.

I agree with Dhiraj Madan, paths of coding is a very bad idea, your application has become non-portable.

For FORMS_PATH, you can use default.env, as already said (or .env, if applicable).

The same can be done for REPORTS_PATH, using the reports.sh script, in $ORACLE_HOME/bin.

I want to uninstall Internet Explorer 8, should I install Internet Explorer7 before attempting to uninstall? I'm also having a problem with XP, Windows Media Player 11 after I installed it I can not play CD and my player lists are missing?

"How to uninstall or remove Internet Explorer 8?

If you have problems with Internet Explorer 8, you might want to try compatibility view (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956197/LN/) or our Guide helps (http://support.microsoft.com/gp/pc_ie_v8intro) to see if you can solve the problem. However, if you want to simply uninstall or remove, Internet Explorer 8, this article helps you do.

When you remove Internet Explorer 8, your previous version of Internet Explorer is restored with your customizations (such as add-ins, Favorites and homepage). However, Internet Explorer 8 is a part of Windows 7. Therefore, if you remove Internet Explorer 8, you will need to install a third-party browser to browse the Internet.
