Where the Flash installed

Hello

As a matter of interest where the Flash is installed in IE and Firefox?

Am I right in thinking that Flash is used to display videos?

Thank you

C/Windows/System32/C:\windows\system32\macromed

C/Windows/SysWOW64/C:\windows\system32\macromed

These are the physical records where he's going.

It is a "plugin" for the browser (s).

Flash is used to display video, animations, and interactive content, such as games that also require the Shockwave plugin.

There are three plugins for Windows

ActiveX (for IE)

Standard (for other browsers)

PepperFlash (for Chrome - Google incorporated)

  • Troubleshooting the flash forms

    Hello

I have only two flash forms on a site that I have good enough clone for different regions in a youth soccer league. It creates a new user account and other updates account informaiton. The new user page is quite simple (as I could rewrite without flash if I needed). The problem is, I have two versions of this page that are identical or nearly identical to a third version, all on the same server. Two of them work. The third doesn't.

If I visit the page in Internet Explorer, I get the full page where the flash form is supposed to start. The javascript error box will appear shortly in the corner of IE, and it says:

    Online: 185:
    Char: 1
    Error: Object EXPECTED

If I visit it to opera (latest version), I get: a big plugin box that says that the plugin is not installed, and clicking on the box takes me to the installer of shockwave, even if flash does all the work at the Opera House on the site.

It seems to me that a syntax error in the form would cause this, but I haven't changed anything on the page - the only thing different about this version of the form is that it lives within a table-heavy page layout (which I do) while the others all live inside the CSS layouts. I don't see how it would make a difference however.

If you want to see for yourself, go to:

  • Insert a FLA and only see white screen where the animation should be

When I import a FLA on my site with dreamweaver and test the site, I get a white box where the flash movie should be. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong because I save the flash file, then enter in DW, using the media to the common address Insert tab, and end up with a white screen empty when I go live.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Hello

looking for your source code, it seems to me what you want iunsert a FLA ('PracticeMovingBanner. FLA")." To my knowledge, that is not possible. You first convert them these types in a flv or swf file.

  • Control the Flash simple Question?

I have a little problem with the control of a flash sprite.

I have a type of "photo gallery" of the cast member Flash where users can select an image. The problem is, it's when they move to the next image of the screenplay for Director and then return to the framework where the Flash Gallery Flash sprite sprite returned to the first image. I want that the user know what 'image' has been selected if they return for this frame in the director movie, basically keeping the playhead of the cast member flash where it is. Is there a way to get a Flash cast member to remain on the framework and not 'reload' to the first image?

    the flash sprite

    global curfrm

    on mousedown me
curfrm = sprite (me.spritenum) .frame - is the real image of the flash sprite
    go to "your target."
    end

your sprite of target, wherever you would be back

    on mousedown me
go to "corresponding to your flash sprite.
Sprite (your flash sprite) .gotoframe (curfrm)
    end

  • Blocking the Flash player module applications OSX 10.9.2; Firefox SafeMode (28.0) did not help. Re-installed Flash, rebooted, no luck. Any ideas?

Flash has stopped working the same day where Norton anti-virus [version 10.6 (26)] has pointed out, "blocked." "(attaque Web: Angler Exploit kit Flash Télécharger 4)" I guess that means that the malicious software was not installed; so perhaps only a coincidence.

The youtube HTML5 video referenced on the Mozilla site, "Amazing Roger Federer trickshot on Gillette ad shoot", works very well. The non-HTML5 version says the flash player crashed. Game site, bubbleshooter.com no longer works.

Convenience store plugin installed. I tried Firefox Safe mode, no help. Safari browser has flash player crash. Cannot find out how to disable hardware acceleration, because the player never appears in the browser so that I can right-click on it.

Any help with this would be appreciated!

    Hello

    Recently upgrade Flash 12-13?

There have been problems reported with the 13.0.0.182 version of the Flash plugin crashing on some old Mac computers by the compiler to generate incompatible codes.

The only way to recover is to uninstall the version of Flash 13 and return to an older version of Flash and wait for Adobe to release an update that resolves this problem.

You can install the latest version of Flash 11.7 has the latest security updates (does not work with Safari) or the latest version of Flash 12 who did not get updates of security Flash 13A.

  • Need to install the Flash CC 2014 extension but...

I made the mistake of not to keep Flash CC 2014 when I installed 2015 and the extension of one I need is not yet compatible with 2015.

So I used Time Machine (Mac) to re - install 2014, which now works fine. However, when I install the extension, post manager it installs only in 2015. How to install in 2014? Uninstall 2015, and then try reinstalling the extension? Which will work? Is there an easier way? Where the hell are the extensions you installed anyway?

You could have installed CC 2014 in the creative menu Cloud. The fastest solution may be for uninstall you CC 2015 for now.

  • Install the Flash player in a secure remote environment

I'm setting up a remote development environment, and one of the applications I use requires Adobe Flash 10 or higher.  My dev environment is locked and does not connect to the internet.  I would like to know how to manually install the Flash in the environment of dev remotely without access to the internet.  Is this possible? Where can I find the manual installation package.

    All opinions are appreciated.

Adobe offers two versions of Flash Player to be redistributed in enterprise environments, and they are suitable for a centralized deployment and management via AD/SCUP/KCP.

Your organization will have to sign a distribution agreement, but it's free.  I have included links to the distribution page and below system administrator's guide.

In addition, Flash Player is provided as a component in Google Chrome.  If you can get Chrome installed on your laptop (which can generally install without administrative rights), you should have a working Flash installation.  According to the obligations of compliance in your particular environment. However, it would be preferable to have a conversation with your IT support people on the system requirements.

  • My installed flash player is not recognized by the flash websites

Hello, all of a sudden none of the sites requiring flash player recognize that I have the latest version of the player installed. I use IE 9 and I am running Windows 7. The laptop computer strange thing of my son has the same operating system and the browser, but it has no problem to access these sites? Also if I use another browser, Chrome, or Safari I do not know this problem?  Can you help flash player works with IE 9? Patrick

Internet Explorer has introduced a number of changes in the way where JavaScript is treated and how the browser is identified with remote sites.  This causes the content on a number of sites with IE-specific logic to no longer work as expected.  In the end content providers will have to adapt their content so that their sites to work as expected in Internet Explorer.

Until the web is updated, Internet Explorer compatibility view usually gets things working again.

Moreover, another browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox may be an easy approach for your favorite sites that no longer work right.

  • Used to install Flash Player - said the Flash Player Settings Manager is open

I can't install Flash Player on my Win7 64 bit PC. When you run the installation from the download page, I just get the error 'failed to install - unknown error. "If I run the installation of the stand-alone installer I get the message"Open Flash Player Settings Manager"and an"exit"button

I don't know what is the Flash Player Settings Manager or where to find it. It seems certainly not 'open', anywhere where I can see.

There was a discussion on this topic. The solution that many people found useful is:

    1. look for the "FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl" file in the following folders:

    On systems 32 - bits, C:\Windows\system32

    On 64 - bits, C:\Windows\syswow64 systems

    2 delete this file.

If you do not have permission to remove the same, use a third party application like Unlocker. (http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/)

    3. try to install or uninstall.

    Thank you

  • Firefox does play not any what Flash, even with the latest Flash installed

    Hello

My firefox is unable to play any Flash for months.

    Here are the questions:
    1. If I want to watch videos on Youtube, it turns out to be just as black (by clicking on the video can trigger the icon well break).
    2. If I want to watch a Web site with Flash, it just loads the first 2 seconds and then Flash freezes.

I have read all the help information in the forum and tried several solutions (see below), but none of them worked:

    -Uninstall and reinstall Firefox
    -Uninstall and reinstall Flash:

          1) when entered Youtube without Flash installed, the website asked me to install Flash but it somehow ended to a failure so I had to manually download and install
          2) after installing Flash, I also went to: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. I can see the version info but not the animation of the banner - it just shows a red box and then disappears after a few secs.

    -Reset Firefox
    -Use mode browser safe
-Install the latest version of Realplayer
-Analyze the State of the plugin on the Web site: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
-Disable hardware acceleration in the advanced option
    -Regenerate the file "pluginreg.dat".

I use WIn 7 (64-bit), with Firefox 24.0 and Flash11_8_800_168. I spent too much time on this issue and now I use Chrome to view the video.

Hope this can be resolved with your help.

    Thank you!
    -Jeffery

Hi Jeffery, I'm not familiar with a lot of your plugins. In the event that one of them could have an impact on Flash content, could disable you any that you do not use on a regular basis? (Set to 'never activate')

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

  • install the flash player

Whenever I have install adobe flash player, it is said that he has been successively installed. But, when I try and use it for a video, it says the video must for me to install flash player. I've installed flash player several times, without success. I get the message, I need to install flash player, although I installed it, and adobe has said that it has been installed successively. What in the world gives? Can you help me? Thank you.

The forum software does not detect your Flash plugin. Can you check if it's disabled? You can do so here:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

It should be listed as Shockwave Flash. If it is disabled, it is sorted downwards on a gray background.

To see if the Flash player plugin at its usual location, see this file:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash {based on Windows 7 64-bit}

    You want to find NPSWF32_11_7_700_224.dll

If this file does not exist, you may need to install again. Be sure to specify that you want the player for non - IE browsers.

    http://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

If it's there, but Firefox is not found:

    (1) you will need to exit and restart Firefox to re-scan for new plug-ins. (After that, you can use history > restore previous Session to recover your most recently used windows and tabs.)

    (2) if it does not help, the setting to scan the registry for the new plugins may have been disabled. You can see here:

    (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (B) in the filter box, type or paste the scan and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (C) If plugin.scan.plid.all is not set to its default value true, double-click it to activate it by default. You will need to exit and restart Firefox to trigger another analysis.

If this change does not stick, find a user.js file as described in this article: How to fix preferences that will not save.

Fingers crossed we solved somewhere along the line!

Hello lashaw1002, windows 8 is not yet registered as an operating system supported

If you are able to install and run firefox, there will be many problems of stability and other oddities since there are still some integration work required to get firefox on windows 8.

  • I deleted the Flash plugin and now I can't install it again

Hello, I deleted the Flash plugin, and now I can't install it again. I reinstalled Firefox (deleted all the folder Program files and Application data folder), but it did not help.

Flash is not in the folder files Firefox or Firefox Applications programs. This and many other Plugins (not Extensions) are "installed" / pointed to by the Windows registry and the real files are in other locations on your hard drive.

Have you tried to uninstall all THE Adobe Flash from your system and start over?

    1. This will remove all THE Flash of your system - Firefox, IE, all other browsers

    2. Once the removal has completed, follow the previous instructions (see installation or update Adobe Flash above) to download and SAVE programs install on your drive hard for both IE and other browsers (including Firefox)

My only suggestion would be to try some of the suggestions on the Adobe site: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html
