  • RIM blackBerry smartphones ever reqiured for include data carriers intend to their subscibers who buy a Blackberry?

I realize that it is an old topic. But I always thought that RIM requires a data plan for all Blackberry devices sold by all carriers. I am aware of AT & T and SIM cards. Someone registered this RIM phone number? (877-255-2377) ever called, but someone else please clarify. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I don't mind paying for the data plan because I use it. He also likes. Another expert said that all carriers have an agreement with RIM to include a data plan with subscribers, so all carriers have policies that they cannot sell Blackberry without a data plan. GSM networks used to give this option, but is more to do. Regarding the purchase of a Blackberry on ebay, Amazon, can but the trick is with the SIM cards, put a car phone AT & T or T-Mobile, without data SIM in a Blackberry, it will work for the voice, but no data.

  • Strange Facebook Active RIM blackBerry Smartphones sessions

    Hey all,.

My girlfriend showed me a screenshot of an active session on his facebook account. She uses a blackberry to access his Facebook however shes also in Cyprus. Lastnight she saw that there was an active session of Britain - I did a reverse DNS and the IP belongs to RIM - rdns.blackberry.net.

I understand internet on blackberry is via BIS, so all traffic routed through BIS of its phone regardless of carrier.

It's just never shown that he go to this site before, anyone aware of any BIS routers/proxy that exist in the United Kingdom?

    'Walton-on-thames, ENG, GB.

Thanks for your time with this.

    Kind regards

    Adrian

Never mind - I connected on Facebook using the bb browser and it turns out that it does the same thing except that I'm Canadian. It's just a thing routing with BIS and facebook and my carrier.

She is only concerned about a person access to his Facebook page.

  • Suggestions of RIM blackBerry Smartphones?

RIM has a place to submit suggestions for future versions of the operating system of the storm?

I would like to see a few icons configurable when you use VM to play a button Delete, rewind, FF voicemails.  My Palm Treo had this.  It is much easier than having to bring up the keypad and seems pretty easy to implement.

    Try [email protected]

I sent my recommendation to customer support and it's where they sent him.

    Tenacity.

  • RIM blackBerry smartphones please read me. calendars and birthdays

I don't know what forum for this to stick to for review of the RIM, I would like to see the calendar tell you at what age the contact is if you know the year. Also, I would be able to choose "unknown year" or something to that effect.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the Forums!

FYI - These forums are not a support user-to-RIM channel... on the contrary, they are a channel for users. Given that, it is unlikely that post here any where: such a request will be seen by RIM. But there is an another [email protected].

    Good luck!

  • RIM blackBerry smartphones must strengthen the strategy of desktop software preconfigured for keep/gain of market share.

Since there is no other way to communicate with the RIM on the strategy, let's go. CEO Jim Basillie should consider the following enhancements to the product immediately.

    (1) implement a feature in BlackBerry Desktop Software (BB DD) that allows a laptop/Netbook/tablet computer be used as a supersized BB user interface. BB ball should act as a pointing to the laptop/Netbook/tablet computer device (without disabling other native pointing devices).

    (2) enable tethering for the function of modem IP via WiFi from the laptop/Netbook/tablet computer and the BB (not just cable USB or Bluetooth).

    3) ensure that the Citrix product Receiver performs well in three modes:

    1. Running on the BB
    2. Running on the BB, but using the BB DS supersized BB user interface
    3. Running on the laptop/Netbook/Tablet computer with the BB in mode Modem IP

    4) ensure that the touch BB models can act as a mouse for the Citrix Receiver (just like the combination of the iPhone/iPad).

    (5) constitute a new operation mode/indicator (LED) which is visible on board aircraft which indicates that the cellular radio has been disabled so that the BB can be used in flight while keeping the Bluetooth or WiFi

    (6) do NOT invest in the implementation of a fellow Viewer/tablet/netbook. Let others beat their brains in commodity markets. Focus on fresh if possible software.

Probably, your notes here will not be read by the ON-BOARD staff.

  • Just a mouth call - RIM BlackBerry Smartphones can't happen to a better way than the battery yank 'fix '?

I've had the storm for 6 days now and I've removed from the battery 3 times.

I mean seriously - it seems to me that lame.  The storm of all machines should have a better system than the yank the battery, wait 15 seconds solution.  / Rant over.

Glad that RIM is not a car manufacturer...

There are a couple of different 3rd applications that perform a soft reset, which works like a battery pull.   Give them a try.

The one I use with no. complains is soft reset.   It is the first in this list of apps.

LINK to a large number of good Apps.

Soft Reset (takes about 30 seconds for the next confirmation screen) Yay for not having to remove the battery.

  • WHAT RIM blackBerry smartphones keep emails that will not stop!

I get e-mails from [email protected]

They all say the same thing that it is a message used to route data between the Blackberry handheld and a home server. I get at least 8 or more an hour to less than my blackberry is turned off. How to stop!

Reason: You have installed Desktop Manager by using the option "Desktop Redirector".

Step 1: If you are not using redirector, you must uninstall Desktop Manager, and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.

Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > maintenance book and remove any service books for [office]

  • RIM blackBerry smartphones are you listening?

Thank you for making the software and excellent products. I have a few ideas for DM - the ability to manage the computer databases.

Create a way to manage the database on the computer at home, for example, I want to be able to go to DM and be able to pull up a contact and change it from my computer and then sync to phone, ringtones... The works.

Ability to merge all the texts and the message databases so that they can be viewed on the computer months days and weeks after have been removed from the unit without having to guess a time and restore said upward.

Add the power of a calendar which works as it does on the phone and is able to synchronize

I would shell out some coins for these features.

    Thank you

    Hello!

While I welcome your desire to contribute to the EDGE to improve their products, you may have missed the portion of these forums that cover who is involved - teas are a channel of support to users, not a user-to-RIM. Therefore, it is rather unlikely that anyone at RIM see your suggestions. But there is a different school of [email protected].

    Good luck!

  • Rim blackBerry smartphones will not send TEXT messages from a # 888

It is a matter of update of a previously posted on this problem. SouthernLINC told me today, it was rim which had the phone programmed to not allow send SMS from a # 888.  Everyone knows this. Anyone know if it's the truth.

    Search for the truth.

Solved! This problem has been resolved by a Tech SouthernLink very savy. She put my # 888 in first position and assigned my second # second. I can send SMS as if I had a single number, if it goes out on the # 888 or second that I don't know. The workaround to receive SMS, it is I'd give the second number to all my contacts. I offered to put my name and the TEXT next to it in their address books. It worked very well. Thanks for your comments. Rather than responding after the first day, or so, I wanted to give it a reasonable time before I knew that it worked and that I posted here.

  • Where the Micro SD card blackBerry Smartphones go on model 8830?

OK call me stupid... but WHERE is the card on the model 8830 slot?

Remove the compartment cover, and it happens in the silver hinge just above the battery slot (to the top of the unit, in the middle).

  • RIM blackBerry Smartphones is not yet ready for Office 2010?

    I'm afraid...

Office 2010 was posted 3 months ago (office 2010RTM was released from 01.Intro March 2010!)

And yet BB / RIM can't program a connector, which allows you to synchronize with Outlook 2010.

I paid a lot of money for my BB Storm - now im wonder what for?

I bet Apple wouldn't take so long...

When there is a synchronization with Outlook 2010 software?

How long we customers must wait?

I paid for Office 2010 - I paid for the technology.

But at the present time, BB is far from technology - im really thinking to replace it with a Windows phone or Apple i-phone!

    Its just too sad...

If I ran my business like that, I'd be the insolvency...

I bet there are some mods in this forum who have a link with the RIM.

It takes more strength and hatred in our posts to show them that we all paid for business PDA

At the moment, RIM is not even 1 / 7,000,000 Business...

  • Suggestion of RIM blackBerry Smartphones

Please allow us the ability to reset the properties of a file hidden... we are allowed to hide them, so it's just we are offered the luxury of the opposite... forward this feature in the next update of OS. Thank you.

    Hello!

In fact, you can... it is not as simple as hiding. From the home screen:

Media > BBKey > Explore > navigate to the folder that contains the hidden file > BBKey > Show Hidden > highlight (but do not click on) the file desired > BBKey > properties > uncheck "hidden".

You can actually choose Show hidden earlier if you are not sure which folder contains the file.

    Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphones any idea when the store will be available again

I wonder if anyone knows how long it will take for the store of BlackBerry (http://shopblackberry.com) to be available again? Does anyone know what's taking so long? It will be available again after January 30?

I have some reward points available (https://developer.blackberry.com/jam/rewards/), these are valid in the BlackBerry store.

On the site it says that I could post in support of the BlackBerry store if I have questions. I've done it since long (4 December 2012 to be exact) and the only response I got was the same as what the site says: "the site is temporarily unavailable. But the part 'temporarily' is at the same time quite a long time.

PS: I didn't know really where I should put this post. So I guess that moderators will probably move this if it belongs here. Sorry for the inconvenience, but as I found that there is not a real support for the BlackBerry shop channel.

And because the notification (indicating that it is not available) says to contact [email protected]. I think the address shopblackberry.com is the property of RIM? Or am I missing something?

I hope for the party revamping of course :-) We'll see in a few days

Well, let me remind that... He didn't was NOT owned by RIM in the past.

Site Web ShopBlackBerry.com and retailer was (in the past) a third-party provider of accessories RIM and others, and has been the preferred supplier of RIM. But it was an American company, unrelated to the RIM other than by RIM's official recognition as the "official dealer.

Since November of last fall (2012) their site has been closed, as well as a notice of "makeover." Maybe RIM has supported or bought this URL and the distribution channel.

  • My phone blackBerry Smartphones has a lock of business or something?

I bought a Blackberry 8830 we HAVE on ebay and they can't push the books of service to me because of some lock on the phone that a company put on? Is there a way THAT RIM can help me with this so I can use the Internet and e-mail and other applications on my phone?

Ouch... the pain of buying used. Here is a KB with some information for you:

KB05099 Steps to take before selling it, or after buying a used BlackBerry smartphone

Unfortunately, in your case, is that part of it... you need to remove the it policy which is latent on the device. Here are some procedures that may (or may not) work:

    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/How_do_I_remove_the_IT_Policy_on_my_BlackBerry%3F

In all cases - wait that your BB will liquidate as fees and clean. This means that if you ever put anything on it, it will be lost.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
