  On Win7 Pro I'm having a problem where when I move the files from my digital camera Canon or my Sony digital camcorder to HDD the date taken on the videos aren't save. It defines at the time I moved the hard disk instead. It comes to all the dates in the properties.

  Ok. I had trouble to transfer photos from my old computer to my new computer.  The dates and times on the pictures changed.

  I finally got the moved and kept the correct dates on each photo.

  That's what I did:

  1. I opened the 'Pictures' folder on the old computer and click on "Select all" under the tab 'Edit' at the top.

  2. then I went to the "Edit" tab and choose "move to folder".

  3. in the next window, called '' Elements to move, '' I found the file that I wanted to move the photos to and selected this folder and then clicked on "move".

  4. all photos have been transferred to the new computer with the date and time correct.

  5. However, this deletes all photos from the old computer.  But I do not really need them on the old computer since I will be recycling with Dell.

  We sincerely hope that this information helps someone else, since I had a hard time finding how to do this task.

  Now I see the date taken in the import screen until I click "ingest". When in the trash, this option is there, but no metadata in there. It is therefore impossible to import images from two cameras and have these sorted.

  Please provide details: you are not trying to change the file type by changing just the extension, are you?  That won't work of course,

  Either you try to run some type of script?

  To change a file type, you have TO open the file in Photoshop and do save as.  That can be automated.

  Get an external drive, you can connect to your old computer via the USB port. Clone the old disk on the external drive:

Hope someone can help me here. However my computer is configured for backups is not how I put in place. I have tons of files it would take too long to download again.   This isn't where the music is supposed to be.  As indicated in the link provided above: "Although iTunes backs up most of the settings your device, downloaded applications, your audio, video and pictures do not appear in the backup."

  The iPhone uses two separate terms - backup and sync and sync music is optional.  My music sync is stored in C:\Users\Username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music (or just music LibraryiTunes\iTunes Media\Music).

  Currently on iOS 9, you can get the RAW of the stock camera app, or any other application photos. However, the app '645 PRO MKIII' did take pictures and store them in unprocessed TIFF formats, which is as close as possible. However, Apple is expected to push back the FIRST support in iOS 10 with third-party apps, no word on the stock soft well.

  Support for the camera has been added in version 7.2.  How you try to use the converter?  You do not see the files listed in the file.  You just choose the folder containing your original raw files.  If you did that?
