where to report someone selling locked keys microsoft every week on craigslist

Then I found this deal on craigslist windows 7 ult and office2010 for $90. Do not think that this guy was a fraud. his announcement sounded legit.  What is happening in the pittsburgh area of the sound system. announcement can be viewed athttp://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/sys/3806937141.html

I spent 2 hours on the phone today sent to 6 different numbers of microsoft. spent like $20 on the phone today to make these calls I pay by the minute phone, so please don't give me a number to call someone because I'll do it more. its very annoying by telling the same story 6 times.

I don't want my money to microsoft. I door already complained to fbi 2 weeks no response back on their part I contacted craigslist about the ad and they always validated week after week.this guy is the sale of its business volume licenses, he said. The keys are locked because volume licenses cannot be sold for domestic or personal use im says that. Is there anywhere to report it to microsoft? Today on the phone, it was difficult to understand a lot of people, I talked to do not be able to speak English clearly, but of what I received, I have been to the real profit center, customer service, satisfied or reimbursed Center, office cortporate "climbing dept" everybody kept sending me on the next Center. I was told by 2 people, the Department of customer service at 800-785-3448 should have managed this, but they don't have they sent me to the gar of money back that sent me to the corp climbs. I just want this guy stopped everyone can care or assistance from microsoft.

    Hi maphillips,

As this problem is hardware specific, I recommend contacting the manufacturer for this function or refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer.

Here is the link to the manufacturer:
  • "The drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive, and then try again. »

Have a laptop Envy M6-K010DX. Due to a problem of the internet while improving to win 8 to 8.1, the PC does not start correctly, and Windows Explorer will not load. Has decided to "Refresh" of the operating system and is gone to F11 restore utilities. When I go to the utility of refreshment and follow the prompts that I reach a message that says, 'the drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive, and then try again. "I was looking for support for the unlocking instructions and apart from some commands bootrec (which did not work - probably because I don't have a Win 8 disc) not much is available.

The only access I have for execution of orders made by the tasks Manager command-line and F11. What is this 'locked' drive, anyway? Someone at - it any information on that?

    Hello Lara.

IF you have updated from 8 to 8.1 and the process was interrupted during installation, this may damage the disc and therefore locked error. "Refreshing" the system would not be the answer that you need to clean install Windows 8 again. 8.1 update can break the bond of the recovery partition, especially if it has become corrupted as indicated.

You must clean up the installation with the recovery discs, you must have created before you updated to 8.1.

In addition, if you do not have the recovery disks, you can buy a set of HP or install a regular copy of Windows 8 and then update the drivers manually. HP has the Windows key now integrated into the bios.

Your message looks like not it was even 24 hours old before you decided to delete it from the original computer?

I'm sorry to hear you had to do this.

If you need to HP support, you must contact them directly to your country or region.

Contact HP-Assist phone USA | HP® official site

Contact HP worldwide | HP® official site

Good luck with the new computer.

Any brand or model you purchased now, don't forget to create the recovery disks/drive.

  • Error: "the drive where windows is installed is locked, unlock the drive and try again" while trying to regenerate the system

My daughters Toshiba S955-S5373 went all green, she says while she helped the battery out. I didn't know she was in trouble. We tried to solve; However, Bad_system_config_info appears before diagnosing and resolving problems. After 4 hours, nothing has been resolved.

I found the DVD we created initially and attempted to load that. We shut down the laptop with the power and reverse holding F12 button. I tried to boot from the DVD, but it does not read the DVD and just crossed the initially to start and diagnose and solve problems. I have waited 2 hours, but without success.

I turned off again and I just tried to refresh the PC. He said "the drive where windows is installed is locked, unlock the drive and try again".

I then tried auto repair but could repair. Log file C:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrao;/txt appeared.

I even tried to reset the PC as a last resort. But the message failed to reset the PC required A disk partition is missing.

Don't know what I can do. Can you help us?

Original title: Toshiba S955-S5373 will not start

    Hi Annaed,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I can understand your concerns to your system and will certainly guide you in the right direction to solve the problem.

Control bug BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO occurs if the SYSTEM registry hive is damaged. However, this corruption is generally unlikely, because the bootloader, known as NT Loader (NTLDR) in versions of Windows prior to Vista, checks a hive for corruption when loading the hive.

This bug check can also occur if some values and critical registry keys are missing. You keys and values may be absent, if a user manually change the registry.

As per the error message "the drive where windows is installed is locked, unlock the drive and try again", I would refer to the suggestions posted by phanlon7 replied on 12 October 2013 in the next thread and check if they are useful.

  • Find product key Microsoft OS 'lost' on my laptop

    Hello

I recently bought a Satellite u300. I got there an hour required to access my Microsoft Vista product key from the bottom of my laptop. To my horror, the sticker has a few scratches and at least one of the characters is unrecognizable. Another character was overshadowed, but it seems to be part of a '4 '.

My question: "is there another place where I can find the product key? For example, can I get from the recovery disk?

I'm really desperate and would appreciate any help.

    Hello

Why do you need this key. I mean, Don t you must enter somewhere because the recovery is already on and he didn't need a key. The thumbnail is just a proof of purchase for the license of Windows Vista.

Regarding your question: no, there is no other way to find the product key and won´t you need.

    Welcome them

  • Where can I get the product key to reinstall Windows 8 on my WANT Sleekbook 6?

    Product: ENVY Sleekbook 6 (6-1110us)

Initially, this laptop came with pre-installed Windows 8. I want to reinstall Windows 8, but a Virtual Machine, the breast so I can't use the bits of food with what he delivered. I'm under Ubuntu 12.10 as principal/host OS and will have several virtual machines of Windows running at the top of it.

Where can I find the product key for Windows 8?

There is no sticker on the box with a key, and I dug through all the paperwork that comes with it.

    Your help is greatly appreciated!

To say thank you, click the button of "Bravo!"

Appears that Microsoft has changed the terms of the license with Windows 8. See the next root thread: http://superuser.com/questions/517142/running-windows-8-in-a-vm-can-i-use-the-copy-that-came-with-my-laptop

In addition, a rather good article exceeding the various changes in the terms of the license of the new Windows 8: http://www.zdnet.com/how-the-new-windows-8-license-terms-affect-you_p2-7000003028/

They consider now a physical PC and a virtual machine to be * separated * computers. Since the preinstalled Windows 8 use an OEM license, this license cannot be moved between the "computers".

For anyone interested in doing something similar (mobile Windows 8 in a virtual machine), you must purchase an additional license. Upgrade license or a System Builder should work.

    Hello

These issues in the past have been resolved with BIOS update. I therefore recommend as a first step of the BIOS update.
Check the current version on your laptop and the most recent proposed on the Toshiba download page.

To be honest I don't understand why you waited so long on this subject. Laptop warranty valid and the nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer can help you about this.

  • I gave my credit card to someone information I thought Microsoft

Oh my God I gave my credit card to someone information I thought Microsoft. I thought that only the people at Microsoft know how many errors have been throwing on my PC so that they must be real. They said it was a Trojan horse in it and was bad. I knew he was infected so I gave my information to Teamviewer to put in this program to clean my computer and fix any problems that I receive. What should I do now that someone has that number and it's not Microsoft. Is it a real program or a scam just to get my information. Is my credit card at risk. and how they have information about my reports to Microsoft.

    * original title - now that they have my card number *.

    Scam.

    • Call your credit card company immediately.  Cancel it.  Let them know what's happening (you won't be probably the first caller with this story.)
    • Change all of your passwords for each account.
    • According to what they did to your computer/etc - it may be best to disconnect the internet/network and to restore it to factory settings.

Next time know that Microsoft won't be called * you * to solve a problem on your computer without having initiated you it somehow and you expect the call.  Also - they probably use MICROSOFT products to get on your computer - no third party tools. * smile *.

Oh - and it is unlikely that they have no real information about you / your mistakes.  Social engineering.
