• iMac restarts after 5 minutes of the heavy load of CPU/GPU and noisy fan

  Hello

  My iMac (late 2012 if I remember) restarts when under heavy load for a while.

  I work a lot with Final Cut Pro X.

  Whenever I have add clips in an event, Final Cut allows you to copy and then transcode and analyze the clips, and this task's CPU/GPU intensive (Final Cut Pro X uses OpenCL, where CPU/GPU). After a few seconds, the iMac fan begins to be really strong and seems to reach its maximum speed.

  Then, after a few minutes of this heavy burden, the iMac simply restarts, and the fan slows down and stop. After the reboot, everything is back to normal, with the exception of the warning illustrated by Mac OS X, who said that the closure was not planned.

  I'm sure that this behavior is not normal. I don't see why a computer should reboot/crash when under heavy load.

  Note: you can also, to transcode some clips or movies I used the excellent software called Handbrake, using CPU only encoder ffmpeg, and I don't remember having accidents even if the CPU has been loaded and FAN running loud too. So maybe it has something to do with GPU?

  How can I understand what is happening?

• E30 GPU Intel HD Graphics P3000 and GTX560Ti... Question?

  I managed successfully to adapt to an Asus GTX560Ti CUII 1 GB DDR5 card in the tiny bowels of my E30.

  I also upgraded to an ACE 'Black edition' 650BR 650w POWER supply unit. things work well for the moment in any case.

  I use the GPU GTX560Ti to an iRay CUDA renderer in 3DS Max 2013.

  Question...:

  Can I operate the monitor off the chip integrated Intel HD P3000, while having the GTX560Ti recognized by the E30 in the form of secondary card?

  I tried the BIOS setting for 'Video' of the 'AUTO' to "IGD" or what was the abbreviation for switching internal GUI. Then I plugged the via VGA in connector of the card mother VGA monitor to the rear. It starts up fine, but when I run 3DS Max 2013 he couldn't find the map GTX560Ti on the inside.

  I can run BIOS 'Video' as 'AUTO', and the GTX560 card works well as a main card. I want to just run as a secondary card, in order to free up memory cards to render iRay rather than be a Windows display adapter.

  Well with the IGP as primary; from the start the desktop both resident boot Asus graphic apps (SmartDoctor and GPUTweak) have both reported the lack of card. I went to start 3ds Max and entered in the dialog iRay, scrolled down and where the GPU was usually selectable was now empty. I assumed, and quite, not companies in the PC card.

  Anyway, I seem to have fixed "memory" problems to tweak some settings in Max;

  memory and performance parameters/bitmap /Render options/bitmap proxies on and systems / make with proxies.

  (This adjustment clips and reduction textures not visible within the limits of the object they are applied to so that it loads less bitmaps in memory cards)

  I also used a third party called PolygonCrusher application to reduce the number of polygons and so faces to load into memory too. That dropped the polygons around 50% without any significant artifacts.

  Everything works fine now, and on doubts, I also like boost GUI I get in applications to use as primary GTX560. Maybe when the budget of departments is reset next year I'll put in an order for a 2 GB card, but for now I think I've got it sorted at a performance level that is achievable.

• Internal keyboard and mouse do not randomly respond time forcing me to restart my laptop 15 times until it works again

  1. sometimes this feedback haptic on the mouse is not triggered, leaving me by clicking on the mouse, while feeling against nature - something that is not supposed to happen

  2. after I close my laptop / closing of the lid/Eve (do not turn it off) the keyboard and the mouse literally don't work - it forces me to restart my laptop several times (sometimes around 15, take me 5-10 minutes just to get my laptop to work)

  Additional details:

  -J' tested a USB keyboard and mouse with my laptop and it works perfectly, even when the internal don't - maybe it's a hardware problem?

  -I went to the apple store a few weeks ago and spoke to someone at the "Genius Bar," which really helped at all - he told me I have to restart my laptop every time I open and I should do another user account - although I was skeptical about the logic used to arrive at these "solutions" I tried them anyway , here we are with the same problem - also, I don't have to close my laptop down 15 times every time I want to use, it's ridiculous, and that's why I bought a mac rather than a pc.

  -I'm not running any software/battery intensive programs on my laptop - especially just the word and the Google Chrome, which is not a lot

  This is probably in the wrong category, I apologize in advance - but it is a really weird problem that I don't think has a solution. Nevertheless, thank you for the reading of my rants and seizure of your advice!

  One thing that causes the mouse further trolling, is if your CPU is completely consumed by something. This can be checked in activity monitor CPU (all processes).

  Two other things can keep your Mac to be properly adjusted:

  GPU is suspended. These are cases where the GPU is no longer and can usually be seen in the console log, with symptoms such as GPU hang or WindowServer does not.

  Disk crashes.

  For the rotation of the discs, this can be a sign of imminent death of player.

  For SSDS of spare parts, this can be caused by the accumulation of deleted blocks, used in activating do not trim for your third-party SSD drive.

  My girlfriend wants to do some consumer level video editing on my computer, which has a processor i7 - 4770K and a GTX780 graphics card.

  The question is, will be able to take advantage of the GTX780 to speed up the rendering, Adobe Premiere elements 12 etc, or will we have a pro edition to do?

  On my old computer, she thought it took a lot of time to make videos (rendering I guess?), but it was with an i5-2500, then perhaps the best CPU will be sufficient to speed things up?

  In addition, since it is relatively new to video editing all she does is at a level of consumption, if those applications never will use the same gpu so we have the foot to a pro edition?

  I have no experience with video editing so I don't know where the gpu can be used to speed things up, so if someone could develop on this it would be greate.

  Your graphics card has nothing to do with the rendering speed. It is entirely a function of processor.

  The real question is which model of camcorder is your coming video? First 12 items work very well on formats such as miniDV, HDV and AVCHD.

• Why has disabled Photoshop Open GL?

  I use Photoshop CC, the trial version and have not been able to use the 3D features. Photoshop has disabled the Open GL, and even though I have the graphics accelerator checked, it still does not. I clicked on the Advanced setting and it is set to "Basic", and I can't change it to normal. I am currently using Cinema 4 d R13 and I have no problem whatsoever using THEIR 3D, so I really want to know what is happening with that. If it is not editable, they wouldn't need.

  OK, you mentioned that you are using the evaluation version. There was problems with the "gpu sniffer", a program that tests the GPU and decides what are the characteristics of cut where the gpu driver returns errors.

  14.1.1 is the last update that was supposed to remedy. I'm sure that you already installed.

  The next thing is to go to help > system information and copy / paste in this forum your information system so that the Adobe staff and users can see exactly what you have and tell you what we can do.

  Just quick question on support for ProResHQ in CS5:

  Being a user of first for a long time, I really managed a large part of this particular intermediate format unless I'm working on a workstation of the PCF. However, I thought I'd have a play around with extracts of ProRes on my new HP laptop as a way to test the quality of the reading of this format in the latest iteration of first, I heard supports this format natively. However, when reading on a timeline, I found also good 1080 p and 720 p clips playback smoothly for a couple seconds and then become stuttery. This happens if the resolution of reading is set to 1/2 or 1/4 there is a clip that I found is the 'SD' resolution that plays well back even at full quality. Curiously, all these clips play back fine on quicktime player...

  Before the assumptions as my system my system is probably not dealing with resolutions, let me clarify a few things. I also tested some R3D 4 K images recently with the effects and color corrections and shot on the Canon 7 d too and all that cutting projects played back as smooth as butter. I also made sure the ProRes clips I imported play using the parameters in the correct order using the drag-and - move on the "new item" icon in the location of the project. I have a core i7, 4 GB RAM, 1 GB of Nvidia 230 M (I used the 'hack' documented to enable CUDA acceleration in first as described here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2791514#2791514) and get a yellow bar most of the time, as I have in this case too with ProRes clips. I tested two scenarios where mercury is only the software and where the GPU acceleration is enabled, but in both cases, the video isn't smooth, it's disappointing.

  So I just want to check if I read in the marketing correctly, and confirm whether or not first Pro CS5 actually does support ProRes playback natively? It is not really a biggie for me because I prefer the native root, of course, but it would have been more useful if I was involved in projects in the future that were cross-platform, working alongside editors of FCP, so if this is not effectively supported properly, is there any plans to fix this soon?

  OK, so it wasn't such a quick question after all...

  My guess would be that the bitrate of the clips you are using ProRes is simply too high for your hard drive. You're out of your drive hard editing system (as I'm guessing that you are because it looks like you're using a standard laptop)? If so, you can expect performance edition pretty ugly, especially with broadband as ProRes codecs. I have change a second hard drive in my laptop and off an INCURSION on my workstation. readers are able to cope with the speed of transmission, even on my laptop more low-power.

  View the configuration of your hard drive, and we might be able to understand more.

  You can try to install the driver of graphics card in the Intel page.
  If the installation using setup.exe will not work, then try to install the driver through the Device Manager.

  Here you can choose the Advanced installation procedure which allows to point to the files in the driver downloaded from Intel page and this will force windows choose exactly this driver.

  It is not possible. The graphics card driver it automatically controls and you cannot assign the memory manually.

  Windows 7 is pre-installed on this laptop and Win 7 is much better than Vista.

  However, if you use Vista (but I put t know why someone should prefer Vista Win7) and then drivers can be collected manually.

• Panic GPU

  During the last few days my Macbook of retina end 2013 Pro 15 '' (2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB & NVIDIA GeForce GT 750 M) has been gel where the cursor won't move, main traits do nothing, but the caps lock light will go on and off. "  So I have to hold the power button to restart.

  That's the problem.  Problem two is that carry my computer in my Messenger back, as I have done since I bought the computer, twice this week when I get to work and open it it is very hot and the fans are crazy. No programs are running, and usual sleep before that.  Called Apple Support and they had me reset the PRAM and NVRAM but no luck.

• New GPU producing Black Screen

  Hello. I recently installed a GTX960 in my system to upgrade my very old ATI Radeon HD 5770. I've used Windows via bootcamp for a few months without any problems. However, recently, one of my hard drives become 'dirty' and the internet I was informed to use the OS x disk management tool I have tried many other things before you decide to start up in mac, but nothing worked. So I decided to start in mac (for the first time since I had installed the gpu) However, this produces a black screen that brings me to where I'm stuck now.

  I tried to go to recovery mode, but it gives the same result.

  With a little research I have found that my CPU does not have graphics integrated so it relies on a graphics card to work.

  (If that helps...) My computer is a mac to mid-2010 pro with:

  • Two 2.4 GHz Quad-Core 'Gulftown' Intel Xeon(E5620) processors with 12 MB of L3 cache
  • 32 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM ECC

  It's a bit urgent as I need this computer for school work.

  To use a GTX960, you must install drivers and since it's not Mac-Flash card you will not get a splash screen, and so you cannot use the special startups as the recovery mode, Option and other whey to see the screen.

  You need to reinstall your 5770 card and then install the drivers for Mac. You may have to reinstall OS x. Then reinstall windows via Boot Camp.

  If you Windows disk tools disk to boot camp, you can destroy the OSX install.

  No there is no slot that will accept a discrete video card add-in.

• Cannot find the display driver just after the replacement of the GPU on Satellite P200

  I got my laptop yesterday to SAV, because my graphics card has been damaged.

  Now I can start Notepad, but in the hardware Manager is only an entry for the VGA, the new map, which should be in the notebook, the Manager cannot be found.

  First of all, it would be interesting to know what series of laptop you have.
  Then you are sure that another graphics chip has been used?
  Are you sure that it is a Mobility Radeon 2600 HD graphics card?

  If you are not 100% sure I would recommend contact the technician who changed the GPU and seek clarification; What GPU chip has been used and where to find the driver.

  I'd appreciate some feedback from you!
