I never typed the F8 key (I almost never use the function keys, I am a developer/leader of old digital equipment and from time to time, for old times sake, open a DOS window and rename files using RENAME it order... i. e, a dinosaur) so there is no reason why it should have been stuck. The problem seems to occur when / whenever I used the key.

  But, for other reasons, I restarted my computer and the problem disappeared.

  As I see no reason why a reboot would have affected the behavior of Firefox, I don't see why this has helped. But I don't have a horse in the mouth, all happy with the result.

  Should it happen again, I will review and implement response info.

  Thunderbird does not use the word Spam or create a junk mail folder. Your e-mail provider.
  Just look in the folder and remove any message you want. Some spam filters are not that large to determine what is or is not spam and there could be some messages in there that you want to read or keep.
  It is not the end of the world. Simply sort the message in there.

  All PDF files now open in Firefox? If Yes, then it seems that you have changed your default programs in Windows.

  If you have a PDF file that is saved on your computer at your fingertips:

  1. Right click on properties and PDF
  2. Under the general tab, next to "Open with" is probably Firefox, click on the button 'change '.
  3. Select Adobe Reader, and then press 'OK '.

  Alternatively, if you do not have a PDF file on your computer:

  1. Go to start > Control Panel > default of programs
  2. Click on associate a type of file or Protocol with a program
  3. Scroll down to find the file type ".pdf".
  4. Click on the ' Change program... "button. »
  5. Select Adobe Reader, followed by 'OK '.

  MS has replaced Hotmail with the 'new improved' Outlook.  I agree it is new, don't know about the other part of that.  :-)  They have certainly not reservations about sending millions of people through a learning curve.

  I upgraded from 3.6.15 4.0, but the appearance of Firefox has not changed at all. There is no Awesome Bar, Firefox Button or bookmark button. The only change was 2 of my addons have been disabled.

  The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. To get it under Windows XP, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

  If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

  I just noticed recently that when I misspell a word & get the line red winding under the Word as usual, on YouTube and a few other sites when I right click I get the drop down with the correct spelling.
  Also, when I try to copy (it seems to work), but when I hit and right click 'paste', it does not work.

  By default, Firefox is configured to automatically check the spelling. You can check this feature as follows:

  1. click the Fx button menu again and choose Preferences.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. click on the general tab.
  4. make sure that the checkbox "check my spelling as I type" is checked

  Close the topic: preferences page. Any changes that you have made is automatically saved.
