  Thanks for the post.  With it, we can have several questions the cause.  Type/paper weight, not enough paper in the tray, rollers which don't sting power or the remains of a previous paper jam.  I've included a pasted below document that can help with this and help refine the root cause.  Good luck!

  -If it is Internet Explorer, what version of IE are you using?
   
  -Is this issue occurs with any of the Web pages that you print? Or is it specific while trying to print from a particular Web page?

  Have you checked programs and OS - seemed to be OK, so did a new install of the printer. I have seems to now work OK - IE the files previously printed with lines now don't (only verified although some).

  I think that I was naïve in beliving Windows when he says that the printer and the driver were OK, and when I did a re-driver installation, Windows just used the file I already had. Also the "print test page" printer properties was always OK. Must have been very slight damage to the driver who showed up only with certain types of files of a few (different) programs.

  Thank you very much for getting my brain to work and begin to think logically.

  Using an Officejet 6500 E709a connected to Windows 7 64-bit PC via ethernet LAN.  Intermittently, the printer is unable to print a part of the last line of the document.  A 12 point font for example it does not print the bottom half of the letters on the last line of text.  What software (word, excel, PDF, etc.) and it does not matter hwer on the page of the last line falls.  It occurs only on the last page of multipage documents.

  We have a HP C4780 Photoshop. I use Windows Vista and my husband uses Windows XP. Our two laptops are Toshiba.
