• Why the mode list Windows Explorer ignores the document property "Keywords"?

  If I open a word.doc file properties Summary tab and type the data in the fields title, author, subject, category, comments and keywords and then activate these columns in Windows Explorer details view, I can see the words I typed in these columns, with the exception of the key words, which remains empty.  Why Explorer doesn't not know my keywords?

  In addition, the comments column shows that the first 77 characters of the comment regardless of how long my comment is... Why is this? Is there some hidden settings that can be used to fail this behavior or change to a higher value?

  I just answered a recent question and found this old (which is slightly different from the one I responded to regarding Sharepoint properties etc..).

  I don't know why Microsoft has not done more properties available through the Windows Explorer list view, because for example, the property of "Key words" in Word has been around for a while before XP came. And before Windows 2 k come AFAICR. But judging by the mass of the columns dealing with properties 'media', they tried to meet the relatively new uses of Windows (much more than digital photography and other digital media), or the necessary code has been written by individuals affected by these media. And maybe the "key words" had been used differently by different Microsoft products and it was difficult to reconcile the different requirements. It is perhaps significant that property taken /is/ supported in Vista's Windows Explorer version, but called "Tags" there.
  However,.
  a. it is / was a mechanism to add columns to the list available from the point of view of list. I've never done so, it may be sure it will work because I imagine it should be, but you need to write a Shell Extension (.dll) that implements the IColumnProvider COM interface and save it in the appropriate location in the Windows registry.

  Incidentally, the other widely available 'container' technology that could also retrieve and display properties, and has often been rather better than what Windows, Outlook. If you dragged the Word documents in an Outlook folder, you can create an Outlook display that displays the properties of the document (including key words, at least in Outlook 2003). The problem is that (AFAICR) you couldn't store links and Outlook was not really designed to store the files this way (for example, he had a relatively small capacity). The same thing was also possible at the same time in Exchange Server public folders, but there was also the ability practice and other difficulties, especially if you tried to synchronize these flders between servers.   Eve since I got my computer Windows 7, the lower left of the taskbar was (from left to right):

  (a) Start button

  (b) Internet Explorer icon

  (c) a folder icon that would launch the Windows Explorer (for me to see my hard drives, flash memory sticks, etc. and all of their contents)

  Recently I did something - although I can't remember what - who has done away with (c) [(a) and (b) remain].

  Out of curiosity, in what order you prepare the burning process?  Are you drag and drop media files to the media library?  Or maybe make a list "burn" and go from there?  In addition, you have set to autorun when a blank disc is inserted, and then launch Windows Media Center of Windows value?  Let us know the process you follow when you experience this problem, so we can watch step by step with you.

  It happens whenever I try to browse something using windows Explorer. I have tried almost suggestions in previous discussions of those who have already faced this problem. I tried the steps mentioned as log on in safe mode and try to disable the third-party software, but they have all failed to resolve my problem. I also tried to stick the explorer.exe in the system32 folder as suggested and failed or the other. I use Windows 7 Home Premium on ASUS a43s. Are there updates available from microsoft to resolve this problem?

  Note:
  1) data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

  2) after the boot minimum troubleshooting step, read the sections "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

  3) when you do the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

  4) an upgrade on the spot is the final solution before you have to reinstall the operating system. Note that it takes as much time to do the upgrade as to reinstall the operating system. In addition, some of your custom Windows settings may be lost through this process.

  what I found in the WWW, it is a virus/trojan.

  So install an AntiVirus (such as Microsoft Security Essentials) tool and do a scan in depth.

  Also run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) to search for malware.

  Method 1:

  You can perform a scan SFC and check. To Perform a Scan SFC -

  a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
  b. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
  c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
  d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
  e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

  I run Acrobat Professional so that I can change/brand place/comment in the PDF files. At one point recently I noticed "Acrobat Reader DC" in the name of the file at the top of the page. I do not have ask this or do anything to get there that I was aware of this. I adjusted for the new look of the screen and edited several files without incident. But yesterday, I opened a large file which had been addressed to me in Dropbox. When I downloaded and opened it and tried to change it, the selection tool was not aligned properly, so the selected areas were elsewhere on the page, where the cursor was. I restarted my computer and was able to change the file more or less normally (I noticed more little glitches with this CD player but I can live with them). But when tried to save the file with a new file name, like I always do to differentiate files that changed since the original files, the save window is empty. There is no option to save the file with a new file name. In fact. There is no option to save the file with the changes! I thought maybe it was a problem with this file only, but when I tried to edit a file provided by regular e-mail, I met the same problem trying to save to a new file name. What is the relationship between my old Acrobat Professional and Acrobat Reader DC? Why can't save files normally? I managed to save the changes I did by saving it in the cloud to Adobe (I had to then because I could not send the file by e-mail because of its size - I tried to send it to me)., but I'd rather widely navigate in Windows Explorer to work with files. I suspect that there is some simple aspects about what I am simply absent or do not know. Can anyone help?

  I tried to check my plugin and all are enabled. I found here where it was suggested to delete and reinstall Firefox, but that did not fix problem either. I tried to change the Viewer for video, but still no luck. Not sure why Quicktime does not work. Note that when browsing videos will not open, but everything else works fine.   You won't show in Finder on Windows option. Use the one you have - display in Windows Exploler.
