  As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

  Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

• Alternative to Flash video in DPS (and the video does not work)

  As the title says I want to put a flash file in my digital Publication.

  I know .swf are not supported. I tried to make it work in edge animate or as a videofile but my Publication will not appear any video if I import a .mov, .mp4 or a .flv. even if the video file is in the same fodler as the .indd file.

  IM all out of luck here. Then, how would I get this thing to work? and why doesn't my video?

  Ive tried to drop a video into my DPS with a 'video' from a url (Vimeo and Youtube links), I get the error: the URL must be compatible with Flash Player (I did my best to translate the error from Dutch into English).

  So, what I did wrong? I thought I saw that Youtube and Vimeo links where oke to use.

  Using InDesign CC, right? This Flash error message appears in InDesign CC when you place the YouTube or Vimeo code embed. The video still works if you set up right. The best approach is to set the overlay to AutoPlay. This loads the YouTube video, but it does not play. The user must still press the play button. However, during the loading of the overlay, this black screen error message appears briefly, then you'll want to add a static display on the overlay image. This image of the poster must be displayed during the charge of the overlay.

  I created a new user account with Admin power.  Originally, I have 2.  The news gives account me the message "the Internet security settings prevented one or more files being opened," I went back to MY id and changed C: and D: to share.  I also changed Windows, Program Data, Program Files, program (x 86) shared.   I had no idea if sharing C: and D: would extend to all the folders/files below them.

  When I go to the center of control/Internet Options / Security I only refer to the computer and NOT the normal inputs.

  You have a Restore Point available that predates the creation of the new user account, and if so, the behavior persists it in one of the two user accounts 2 original after you restore the computer to the time?

• Why the videos will not play in Firefox?

  Videos on the YouTube sites and new will not play. Everything worked last night. This afternoon no videos don't play. I tried the update of Real Player plug-ins, re - install Real Player, install QuickTime, QuickTime plug-ins verification, etc. Nothing works.

  I have uninstall Realplayer and it works now. RealPlayer has been blocklisted by Flash.

  This seems to be a common problem, but the videos do not work on Firefox and not just for YouTube. I updated Adobe Shockwave and Flash, re-installed Firefox, deleted/created a Firefox profile, started Firefox in Mode safe, off HTML5, checked if any of my plug-ins are disabled, and no one who helped.

  When I get on YouTube and click on a video, the video itself does not even load. On other sites, in the area where the video should play, it says "no video format supported and content MIME lie.» That kind of confuses me because I updated the Flash from Adobe.

  Thoughts? Whatever that either would be appreciated at this point.

  "No video format supported and content MIME don't lie" appears when HTML5 Media Player is used and not the Flash drive and there is no media file stated that Firefox can use.

  You can try the media.directshow.enabled pref to toggle on the topic: config page.

  You can open the topic: config page via the bar of address and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue

• Overflow of text not scrolling in Firefox, but working in IE

  I have two pages on my site that have areas of text with text overflow in the text boxes.

  I have external css files linked to the pages, and they work fine in Internet Explorer.  They work, but not in Firefox.  The problem I am having in Firefox is:

  1. the up and down arrows do not work for scrolling.

  2. the roll of the mouse will not move the content inside the text box.

  3. when typing the scroll bar, you must find the bar to change the color on the same right of the bar and take it right there and drag it down to move.

  Your code is valid, but it seems that this has to do with absolute positioning.  Absolute position elements, breaking the flow of the document and must be arranged according to their external container.  You have Maincontent and menucontent right next to the other and content of the menu has a higher z-index.  Then you position the menu using fill to the top.  What you're left with is that the layer covering the maincontent and making it inaccessible. Think of it as a window with the sticker from the manufacturer on the bottom.  What you see is the label outside of the window and the layer beneath it.

  You can do two things.  Is first of all to remove absolute positioning, since in this container areas seem to be positioned over another or change the positioning of the menucontent positioning it absolutely to the position defined elements, such as "bottom: 0;" to place down rather than positioning with padding.
