Why don't I have to reset my network adapter "Local network connection" every time before I can use the internet

I downloaded the new Vista service pack 2 and now whenever I try to connect to internet, it won't allow me, and I have to reset my adapter "Local area connection".  I also suspect that it might be a registry error, but am not sure.

I have a 32 gigabytes of gateway Home Premium 2008 computer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In addition, I'm not very proficient on the computer, please give as much detail as possible.

Thank you!!!

Bro, I think I've cracked it. Too, I have the same computer and had the same problem.

Here's what I did:
Computer-> gerer manage-> Device Manager-> network-> NVidia-> power management card, then uncheck all the boxes.
I think that when the computer went to sleep, he turned off the adapter, and when the computer is awake, the adapter remained sleep... just a hypothesis.
Anyway, since I made the change, I had no problem.
Good luck!
