IMAQ AVI open VI freezes Labview

If I'm running IMAQ AVI open the AVI with Vision 8.6.4 seal installed I get up total lock. If I run IMAQ AVI open using the same AVI on a computer with Vision 8.6.0 installed, everything is fine.

About half of our avi library now blocking my computer, the other half does not. I tried to resave the avi videos using no compression, indeo and old format avi compression and it does not make a difference. AVI files work with each media player than i've got, they work very well with the 8.6.0, Vision, but Vision 8.6.4 becomes unreadable when you try to open them.

I can't go back to 8.6.0 Vision because in 8.6.0 Vision there is a nasty memory leak problem that has been fixed in 8.6.4.

It is a big enough problem for us. Someone at - it ideas?

Hello me,.

Sorry, you have this horrible problem with IMAQ Vision completely lock up and everything. I graciously spent some time looking at your (my) problem and I think I found the solution. Your (my) video contains a variable bit rate audio stream. If you resave the AVI file with no audio, it works perfectly with IMAQ Open AVI; IE IMAQ open AVI will not completely freeze Labview cause you to throw your computer out the window and scream at the top of your lungs in frustration. Once again. And you won't be plugged completely crazy having to wait several days for a support engineer to admit that there are some problems and answer your post on the forum, cause you to develop multiple personality disorders and begin to write crazy messages to yourself in the third person. Once again.

Here is a link to VirtualDub, a free general public license AVI video processing utility that allows you to remove the audio file to an AVI file, among other things: http://www.virtualdub.org/

Hope this helps you (me)

Sincerely,

-you

  • Compression filter incompatible error-1074396007 took place at IMAQ AVI write Frame

    OK, so I have two computers.
    On one of them, the VI works fine, on the other hand, I get an error and no AVI file.

    I'm taking a bunch of tif files and compression of AVI file with Compression Indeo® video 5.10 filter.
    Two computers running Windows XP.  He who works is more older and slower (but still quite new, 2 years old).  The news that does not work is a dual core with 3 GB of RAM.
    One difference is that with the old computer Labview is installed on the C drive with windows.  On the new computer Labview is installed on a second partition (drive D) while windows is installed on drive C.

    Initially the demo write avi file and compare the VI compression filters would not work on the new computer, but after upgrading Direct X version 9 and restart the computer, they work now.  With the compare compression VI IndeoR 5.10 Compression filter filter example video works fine.

    When I try to start my VI (joint) on the new computer it works, but I get an error (error-1074396007 is produced through the filter of compression IMAQ AVI write Incompatible framework.) Possible reasons: IMAQ Vision: Incompatible compression filter (Hex 0xBFF60499).) and no avi file is produced.  When I run other filters with the VI, I get an avi file which works fine!

    I have NEITHER Vision 8.2.1 installed on both computers.  On the old computer, I also have older versions of Labview installed.

    I even is gone to the windows/system32 and found the CODEC (ir50_32.dll) on the old computer and copied and replaced the version I had on the new computer.  This had no effect.

    A reflection as to why I get this error?

    Adding a strip of 2 worked, so I guess that the div by 4 the rule applies.  Thank you.

  • IMAQ PCI-1424 compatibility with Labview 8.6

    Hi, the computer that I used for image analysis had a broken motherboard issue, and I replaced it with a new one. I removed both the drives and the jury from the old computer to the new and then installed IMAQ Labview 8.6, but Labview 8.6 is not compatible with the software programmed with labview 5.0, so I uninstalled Labview 8.6 and re-installed Labview 6.0 image processing. I still have some problems to run the Analyzer software and image processing. After you have uninstalled the software or labview, the computer does not start correctly, poping up error as information "check your hard drive to ensure that it is properly configured and completed. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer."

    Some basic information on this computer and the image acquisition system (introduced in 2000) are as follows:

    • Windows 2000 operating system;
    • LabVIEW 5.0 basic package;
    • IMAQ vision for Labview advanced;
    • IMAQ PCI-1408, Cables IMAQ-BNC-1 and or-IMAQ for Windows NT / 95;

    • Sony XC - 55 1/3 "Interline transfer progressive scan CCD, 659 (H) X 494 (V), C-mount with JB - 77, SERVICES-12 p-02 and DKT503M;
    • Computar H1212FI 1/2 "mount C 12 mm w/focus and iris (10 inches FOV at 24 work dist.);
    • Extension tube Kit Computar VM100;
    • GRAFTEK high frequency fluorescent light 11 ";

    -What hardware IMAQ I use compatible with Labview 6.0 or 8.6? Should I install also drivers for the hardware of the IMAQ when I remove the card IMAQ? All the solutions for my problems? Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi simpra,.

    Here are two links to articles that list compatibility between Windows & LabVIEW and LabVIEW and IMAQ.   Why do you say that the image processign software was not compatible with the LV 8.6?  A message appear?  Or it simply did not work?  Also, are you talking about Module Vision Development, by chance?

    I'm afraid that I can't help hard drive corruption, if that's the case here.  Have you been able to go beyond that?

    My suggestion is to upgrade to the latest version possible.

    I hope this helps!

    I downloaded several updates for vista (no critical updates) and since that time, I was not able to access my emails. I use netscape and the page opens and freezes. What should I try?

    Hello

    What updates do you have installed?

    Check if the problem persists in the clean boot state.

    From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box
    2. press ENTER.

    The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

    Also, look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.

    Measures to check the application event log:

    a. click Start.
    (b) in the search box type eventvwr.msc , and then on enter.
    c. now, click Application in the event viewer (local).
    d. now, looking for event log on the right side of the event viewer window.

  • TCP opened briefly crashes LabVIEW

    Hello LabVIEW forum! Long time no see. I have been away doing other things but LabVIEW... I am back.

    Background:

    I'm working on a project where I need to make a TCP connection on a Windows 7 computer. The Windows machine will intentionally restart for each test. When it starts, I need make a TCP connection to a server that starts automatically on the Windows computer and send commands. While it is booting, I try to connect, get an error, try again, etc., until the connection is established.

    The problem:

    This computer name is not resolved by the DNS or the hosts file. If I try to connect using a host name and host name cannot be resolved, LabVIEW will freeze for a few seconds. If I click on the Red Quit button, I get the error not responding. He will eventually recover and gives me an error 54. The time-out period is not relevant in this situation. No matter how long or how short I put it in, it always crashes LabVIEW for about three to five seconds. If I try to connect by IP address instead, so I don't see this problem. If the machine is off, I just get a time-out error but LabVIEW does not freeze.

    I can't post code, but try this: write a VI with an infinite while loop and an indicator connected to the Terminal i and place a delay of 100 ms in it. That and note that the number increments. Now, create and run a second VI with the TCP inside open and use a machine name that does not exist. What I see is that the number in the first VI leave increment. I'm using LabVIEW 2014 32-bit on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. First, open a console and try the ping command on the name that does not exist, you are trying to connect to and verify that it prints an ip number. Some providers Internet will solve all non-existent host names to an IP address they have for their benefit. If this is the case then you will not be able to reproduce this bug.

    I have a workaround (putting an entry in my hosts file), but I thought I would mention this possible bug. In addition, it gives me the opportunity to say hi to all my old friends on my favorite Ant! (the list is long but you know who you are)

    LabVIEW called Winsock for all network operations. Most of the Winsock operation is synchronous. This isn't a big problem for most code LabVIEW LabVIEW is multithreaded and performs the nodes in some thread the current VI is to. However, some features require access to a global data space and are protected by other means. It can be a global mutex and sometimes it is also solved by forcing the node to run always in the interface of LabVIEW user thread that also runs the message windows and Winsock loop hang in this message loop to do its own internal synchronous pseudo operations.

    IP address control is something you can try. It can also block because of the internal Winsock hanging in the application message loop, but maybe it will not be so that you can work around the problem. There is no way for a normal application using the Winsock API in order to avoid delays in internal Winsock for synchronous functions, and the resolutino address API supports asynchronous really not with variants.

  • Using controls IMAQ Image in steps of LabVIEW

    Hi guys

    So far, I used TestStand 4.0 with LabVIEW 8.5 and Vision Development Module 8.5 with no problems. Recently, I've updated to LV 8.6 and 8.6 VDM. I started having weird problems when using LabVIEW steps with input/output containing IMAQ Image controls. When I try to click on such an approach in the seq editor or try to insert a new step in the sequence, the initialization step takes a long time (a few tens of seconds) or completely freezes. I also tried to upgrade TS to version 4.1, but no difference. Also, my colleague experiences very similar symptoms on the same software configuration. The only difference is that on his machine, it takes only a few seconds when you click on the step in the vision. However, the steps containing only not an IMAQ Image control behave normally, i.e. you will not encounter any "time initialization" when clicking on it in the sequence.

    To illustrate, I enclose a simple VI containing nothing more than a single Image IMAQ control. If you don't link to the connector pane, the VI works fine when it is inserted in a time of TS. If the Image IMAQ control is bound to the connector pane, TS freezes when inserting such an approach.

    The problem that causes this problem has been identified.  More information is available here: with TestStand and LabVIEW 8.6 known compatibility issues

    You have McAfee Site Advisor installed, which increases because of problems especially with Google. If you try to disable it to see if Firefox works. Alternatively, you can try to install the latest version (3.3.1) of the Site Advisor, one has to work.

    Mozilla plan on blocking older versions of McAfee Site Advisor Firefox 4 due to the problems they cause.

    Trying to open Safari, not only it is not open, but it freezes the whole computer. All I get is the beach ball rolling. I'm not able to perform all actions, not even a force quit. • Problem in opening and running LabVIEW in separate user account

    Hello

    I would like to create a 2nd user account on my computer in the laboratory that has LabVIEW 2011 installed on it. However, when I try to open LabVIEW in the 2nd user account there is an error code 1 and another message complaining about some dialogue 3 button VI.

    I found that I can still continue by clicking OK, except that now I can't start my VI, where I copied over my 1 user account. I get attached errors, including one that seems to be complaining of Simple error handler in my VI which runs at the end of my program error messages. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix the errors?

    Help, please!

    Thank you!!!

    Hi Vrinkle,

    LabVIEW is usually installed in "C:\Program files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW xxx ', where"(x 86) "is the version of LabVIEW application for a 32-bit version of LabVIEW on a Windows 64-bit and"xxx"brand (year)." In this folder you will find subfolders "vi.lib", "instr.lib" and "user.lib" - all the rights granted to your new user account need to access these files (like all the others those of LabVIEW file)!

    BTW. display your serial number on a public forum is not the best idea...

  • Error opening a VI (LabVIEW: unable to load dynamic library due to lack of external symbols or dependencies, or a format file not valid.) The file could not be loaded)

    Hi all!

    Yesterday, I worked all day in a VI and today, unfortunately, I'm frustrated when I tried to open it. Received the following error message:

    LABVIEW: Unable to load dynamic library due to lack of external symbols or dependencies, or a format file not valid. The "ENG633 v1.vi" file could not be loaded.

    This message repeats when I try else open a Subvi.

    Step by step:

    1. I created a copy of the LabVIEW VI example: "FuzzyEx Tanks with control of PI." I kept the copy in the same original directory.

    2 - I have edited the copy, created Subvi etc.

    3 - once I finished my course of programming I closed all the cut (ctrl-x) files and copied (ctrl v) into the other folder.

    4. then I tried to open the next day and... bug! I just couldn't do

    What can I do to open/recover the VI?

    I am using 32-bit LabVIEW 2016 in a Windows 10

    I tried opening them and got the same error you did, so I them opened with a hex editor to see if there was something in the file, and there is literally nothing other than the value of 0x00 for the entire file.

  • Windows does not correctly - open cursor freezes and gets to abnormal termination

    Cursor freezes. Then I can just turn off the computer at the tower. Windows then reopen correctly. Sometimes I'm asked to select 'normally open', sometimes prompted to opt for the option "repair". Sometimes takes up to 15 attempts before getting the chance.  Then the process repeats itself afterwards. There is nothing wrong with the cursor. Help!

    The best way to combat the freeze is to be patient and select Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager. Click on the Applications tab, place the cursor on a running application, and then click end task. Be patient as the task manager should have priority over a problenmatic that runs application. It usually does, but he needs time. If you continue to use the Power On / Off button you will make things worse.

    Can you identify which application is causing the problem?

    What anti-virus program do you use?

    The amount of RAM is installed?

    You authorize chkdsk to run until the end, when the computer does not start normally? You must allow running chkdsk.

    Event Viewer reports

    1. normally, when an error occurs on your computer looking in Event Viewer should be your starting point to find a solution. More related system errors are recorded and get an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately, is not easy to understand reports and most of the users computer need help with their interpretation. I have to say later interpretation.

    2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.

    3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs. Place the cursor on the system, right click and select filter current log. Check the front of the error and click OK and see you only reports errors. Click the Date and time column header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the last report above.

    4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. Click the copy button to place a copy in the Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste it into the body of the message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

    5. He cautioned against three types of reports, information, and reports errors. In most situations, it is the error reports that offer the best information but sometimes WARNING reports provide useful clues.
