Why explorer.exe crash everytime I open nothing deal with it

Whenever I open my computer or something like that, exporer.exe stops and restarts my office.

It is always sensible in this situation to achieve a malware check

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

http://www.Malwarebytes.org/

Download and run SuperAntiSpyware (Free Edition)

http://www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com/download.html

Some malware is installing the entries of proxy server redirecting internet connections. If you encounter this problem step 2 see in the following link:

  • Explorer.exe crashes by clicking the context menu items

    Hi guys,.

I have XP Professional SP3 and when I right click on a file and select a voice as 'open' or 'open with' from the context menu, explorer.exe crashes...

The description of the error event is (in Italian):

    What can I do?

    Thank you

I'm sorry that I can't read your beautiful Italian, but problems with a right-click are most often caused by a third-party software that inserts entries in the context menu. You can fix the latter with ShellExView free utility.

Can someone help me to look into this?
    Thank you
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,.

Remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

Possible cause would be due to out-of-date video drivers, corrupted system files, viruses or malware, faulty RAM, infection etc..

I suggest you follow these methods and check:

    Method 1: Run the hotfix:
Windows Explorer crashes randomly in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2638018/en-us

Method 2: Follow the suggestions in this article:
    Explorer Windows stopped working

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2694911/en-us

Virus scan: while the Virus scan, data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

Clean boot: after a repair, be sure to put the computer to a normal startup mode.

Update on site: note this upgrade on the spot takes the same amount of time to do the upgrade as to reinstall the operating system. In addition, some of your custom Windows settings may be lost through this process.

Follow the steps and let us know if this helps.  If the problem persists, please answer and we will be happy to help you.

  • Windows 8 explorer.exe crash - ntdll

    Hello

I'm having issues where explorer.exe crashes.  This occurs while I'm doing something that uses explorer.exe, such as moving files or folders to open.  However, if a file is opened and slowed, explorer.exe will tend to hang.  I don't know if that's when my computer is idle, however.  I have 2 files in my explorer.exe process in my Public SkyDrive folder dump.  I would fix my own problem, but I don't really know how to debug a DMP file and get something meaningful out of it.
If necessary, I can create a larger file of the DMP of explorer.exe crashing, but I'll do so if requested.  Also, tell me if someone needs more information.

If it does not try to uninstall Google Drive or rename the googledrivesync64.dll in the folder C:\Program Files (x 86) from \Google\Drive to googledrivesync64.old

  • Windows 8 explorer.exe crash/restart of cycle - all solutions?

I was stuck in the cycle of crash/restart explorer.exe since September now and I am curious to know if there are definitive solutions. A fix would be nice...

    Details
I installed Windows 8 Pro x 64 September 18 (reliability monitor information). The first instance of this crash/restart cycle was September 24. Then, I tried to find out what happened on this day: there was an automatic installation of an update of definition for Windows Defender (KB2267602 (definition 1.137.336.0).) Looking at the previous day, the following are installed:
    • Google Drive
    • Update Google Helper
    • Microsoft Hardware USB keyboard
    • Microsoft Hardware USB mouse
    • Generic Non Plug-and-Play monitor
    • AccuWeather.AccuWeatherforWindows8
    • InvokeITLimited.TableClock
According to the reliability monitor, the problem occurs about fifteen to twenty-five times a week. The level of reliability varies from 1 to 4. (I don't know what the vertical scale means that there is no label.)
In Event Viewer, this is a typical mistake:
    The failing application name: explorer.exe, version: 6.2.9200.16433, time stamp: 0 x 50763312
The failed module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.2.9200.16420, time stamp: 0x505ab405

    Report ID: a991c3a6-4169-11e2-be88-e06995f573cd
Faulting full name of the package:
ID of the failed package-parent application:
Every mistake I checked has the same code exception and faults of program and modules. (Besides - I tried to click on the "Event log online help" link but get an error itself is in error, but it's a slow minor compared to the issue of cycle explorer.exe crash/reboot.)
I just started going through applications Windows 8 and uninstall, in hope, where is the problem. (One interesting thing is that the issue almost never happens when I'm not using my computer - it occurs most often when I save a file in a program (it is often with Photoshop Elements, but this is not the only program that seems to induce the cycle crash/restart).) At least the file I save is not damaged...
    Information System
    Windows 8 Pro
    Processor: Intel Core I7-3960 X
    RAM: 32 GB
    System type: 64-bit OS
    Motherboard: Intel DX79SI
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670
Paving work my OS ("Refresh") is not really a solution (solving a problem by clearing, it is not a fix - it is a hope).
Just for fun, I ran scf - he said he couldn't find any errors ("Windows Resource Protection not found any breach of integrity.").
Thanks for reading in a lengthy post.

    You are welcome.

It can be WacomMultiTouch.framework. If so, remove part of the folder: "/Library/Frameworks.

  • Explorer.exe crashes when opening a folder with mkv files.

I did a google search and came up with a friend who had a similar problem.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7files/thread/db90c294-05e6-4BBB-9182-a51e55e98349

My problem was the unresolved question (that means third-party programs are not the problem?) so I was wondering how I can fix the problem. For me specifically is not a file of 4 gb, but the files just randomly with mkv in them. I havn't exactly tested to see if it has to deal with the size of the file or not, but I can tell when I open 2 GB files, they work fine. I say this because I can open a file with a mkv which is a little more than 2 GB and explorer.exe not crushed. Here is the info I get from event viewer.

Please let me know what I can do to solve this problem.

    Hi BlackPhoenix23,

In this thread the poster informed origin as "haali splitter" caused the problem. Looks like some programs non-Microsoft is the origin of the problem. We recommend that you check if a non-Microsoft program is the cause on your computer.

To do this, try the following steps:
    a. open the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
    b. Article, follow "step 1: perform a clean boot" the implementation of these measures will disable all programs not Microsoft currently running on the computer.
    c. restart the computer and check if the problem persists.
    d. If the problem does not persist in the boot, it means that some programs non-Microsoft is the source of the problem.
    e. to find the program that is causing the problem, try "step 2: enable half the services" to "step 6: resolve the problem.
    f. Once you find the culprit, check if there is any updates to update or fixes to the program. If you find, install them and check the difference or reinstall the latest program.
    g. Article, follow "step 7: reset the computer to start as usual.

  • Explorer.exe crashing constantly

I recently ghost a laptop (Dell E-6530) with Win7 x 64 and installed all the drivers that I could find at Dell. I used a ghost of a different model Dell laptop image but everything seems to work fine except that explorer.exe is constantly crashing. Small activities such as deleting or moving items on the desktop are constantly crashing to her.

I managed to change the registry to get the explorer for files .dmp exit on the crash, but I'm unable to open or download the software running which will open. I've linked to the .dmp file in the hope that someone will interpret what is happening.

I tried a "clean boot" did not work, I also uninstalled my video drivers (also used as a sweeper registry in safe mode) and reinstalled it, still nothing...

This is the dump of the crash of the folder:
    http://CID-e0911a8075e4a249.Office.live.com/self.aspx/crash/Explorer.exe.5060.dmp

For some reason a dump is not created when WMC crashes...

    Any help would be appreciated!

    -Devin

According to the dump file seems to be the cause of the accident:

    Cannot load C:\Program Files\Shark007\filters\DivXThumbnailProvider.dll, 0n2 error Win32 image

The DivXThumbnailProvider.dll seems to be a component of DivX Plus Media Foundation and, in your case, seems to be a part of the Win7codecs software.

Then you can try what is suggested in the following link:

    http://Shark007.NET/forum/thread-crashed-Windows-Explorer-in-some-folder-s?highlight=Explorer

    Or uninstall the Win7codecs program.
