  Since I installed Photoshop, lightroom, first and sequels, I continue to receive updates for these applications all the time. Today I received a few updates when I was in school. I've updated all applications, and when I came home and started toward the top of my Macbook, I had new updates for the same applications.   Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMupdater/1.0 and rename it to 1.0.old

  Enable the root account: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11331 and navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMupdater/1.0 and rename it to 1.0.old

  Allow the user library: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html .

  Restart your machine and updates should not appear.
