Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software you have in place and various other tools such as the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

  I would try the following:

  • If this fails, try an update of Firefox, Firefox Refresh - reset the parameters and modules

• I use firefox 16 on windows 7 with Xmarks and now all of my favorites have disappeared.

I downloaded an opensource Viewer that looked good, but still not get anything that looks remotely to my old favorites.   In addition, if the bookmarksbackup files folder it contains, you can try to restore one of it via Firefox Bookmarks (Alt + B) > show all bookmarks > import and backup. See also this.

  I'm having a problem with a Web site that uses the Java Web Starter program to launch an application.

  I use Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit and IE9. I also tried this on 10 IE and Chrome and had the same problem. I am running update of Java 7 21, which, at the time of this writing, is the latest version of Java available. I only have this problem on a computer.

  When I go on the Web site, a window wonder if I want to open, save, or cancel a file called Meeting.JNLP. If I open it, he asks me to choose a program to open it with. When I navigate to javaws.exe in the Java folder in program files, I have highlighted, click Open, and then I went back to the "Choose a program" screen, but the Starter Web Java program does not appear as a choice. I can choose other Java executables from the same folder, and they appear in her choose a program window, but not the Starter Web Java program.

  Thanks Jessen, earlier this morning, I found the assoc and ftype commands and managed to force the association in this way. I did this from an elevated command prompt:

  ftype JNLPFile = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaws.exe" '%1 '.

  .Jnlp Assoc = JNLPFile

  And that the file is associated. Thank you for your response.

  Just to be sure - you realized that it is a peer-to-peer forum, right?  Volunteers (for the most part) give freely of their time to answer questions from people who are like them, but perhaps with a different set of skills.

  I would say that as long as all your files remains less than 4 GB in individual size (not total size, but the size of an individual file) FAT32 or NTFS would be nice.  However, NTFS offers a robustness and some security features that you can.  You choose is especially for you.
    
  Having said that - I recommend you actually use a real hard drive (external, USB is fine) for backup as opposed to a USB key.  You get more for less money if nothing else.
    
  I think your original question was somewhat confused.  When said you could not "send the USB" then later (in response to demand what is happening when you try to transfer files from the USB), "a main file opens that leads to other files until I get to a file which then opens to view content.", I know that I am now, not quite sure what it is that you said you could not do originally and this even what you do with the key USB and HOW you do.

  Try to do this:

I nested all in a SELECT statement more and well, everything came out very nicely. Don't ask me why. If someone could explain that would be great. But it worked.

  Unable to print on HP psc 1350 all-in-one of iMac (OS 10.6.8) but capable of scanning; also able to print other printers connected to the same computer.  The printer is connected directly via the USB port and I downloaded and installed software for printing on Mac using OS 10.6.  Shows the impression that labour is on hold whatever program originating the print job.  The State of the 'mistake' poster print job, but there is no information about error numbers or other details of the error. The correct printer is selected by default and layout is correct.  The printer has been disconnected, turned off and restarted and the computer has been restarted several times.  Able to print/scan/to 1350 PSC all-in-one of older Mac laptop (OS 10.5.8).

  If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

  Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
  Click on continue
  Highlight your device in the left pane
  Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">

  You see only the reset button on the page "help > troubleshooting information" If you use the profile that is marked as default value = 1 in the profiles.ini file.
  If you do not have the "Reset" button then either use the Profile Manager to create a new profile or use the Profile Manager to start with the current default profile for the reset button in Firefox.

  Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

  Greetings.  Is there anyone who has not answered me in the past, and who can advise me how to recover my personal files and data on my computer (Vista Home Premium)?  Someone has been stealing and remove my personal files of my computers by remote access.  A stranger has regularly illegally invades my house to fly, smash and shave me, my family and my wealth.

  Is the software formatted RecoverMyFiles effective in recovering my files, files from a hard drive or computer files after a partitioning error deleted (to fix my Bootmgr, I reinstalled Windows on disk 0 Partition 2 and not on disk 0 Partition 1.)?  This software on my computer it would make it easier for my intruder to encroach my computer by remote access?  Best software is available?

   

  I fear that some of those who bothered me in the past forums could follow me here.  I would please ask that they do not meet my questions here?
