Why Firefox upgrade me to a BETA version is tenacious?
I have long had FF set to let me know when a new version is available, rather than install it automatically. So I'm used to the continuous NAGs when an upgrade is available (until I install it).
The new problem is that FF is tenacious now me upgrade to a BETA version, which never used to happen. I'm now 30 and it asks me to upgrade to 31 BETA 1. Is it because 30 itself is still considered in beta? The reason why only a few weeks ago I installed 30 has been like a (successful) attempt to remedy a strange behavior that I lived with 29.
In any case, how can I go back being advised by official updates instead of betas? Either upgrade to a newer beta version automatically horse stop once 30 becomes the current official version?
I found my solution down the beta channel here, part of the post of ideato to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/940799
Close Firefox. Go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\pref Edit channel-prefs.js with Notepad pref("app.update.channel", "release"); save it, exit, open firefox.
Check app.update.channel in topic change: config
I recorded the channel - prefs.js "revised" to another folder (because it wouldn't let me overwrite the old file immediately) and then copied the revised version in the original record, saying to crush the channel - prefs.js existing (that he would).
It worked. Now when I do Help/About Firefox it tells me that I'm up-to-date with 30.0, instead of asking me to upgrade to the latest beta version. I assume that means that the beta nags will be stop. If this isn't the case, I'll re-post here.

I know that Firefix beta was released for Windows on last week.
So in the futere, the beta version of Firefox will be just Firefox. Do you understand not on my saying? I apologise for my poor skill making grammer. But I would like to know the date on which the Firefox 27.0 is officially launched. Thanks for listening. I'll wait for your answer.27 Firefox is scheduled to receive a State diploma of the "beta" test for the 'liberation' status 4 February 2014. Based on this page: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases

I just upgraded to 3.6 to 5.01 and received a message saying that this version is obsolete, and should I upgrade to 6.0. OK, well I would like to know just where, in the history of Firefox, it will take me. This is not the first time I have wondered about the Firefox version history and tried to find the information. Looks like you have all hide information or are ashamed of something (the number of versions, maybe?) and make it difficult to find this information. I don't understand the logic of making this information so difficult to find, if it is available to all.
(BTW, I'm a software sales engineer retirement for Tivoli/IBM products.)Kind regards
Lynn LarsenIs not hidden; not a secret. Relatively easy to find.
Enter "versions of firefox" (including the quotes) in Google, you can get: https://encrypted.google.com/search?sclient=psy & hl = in & lr = & tbs = qdr % 3Ay & source = hp & q = % 22firefox + releases % 22 & btnG = Search
- In the "Advanced search" options, I have "Date" set for the year passed
Second point, releases-MozillaWiki, gives you future versions, current and past.
You'll see version news on all the 6 weeks, with a few numbers of minor version, if any, as you had with Firefox 3.6.x and earlier versions.

Why Firefox says I have an old version of Flash
I've just updated Flash. This web page told me that I have the 19.0.0.226 Version: -.
helpx.adobe.com/Flash-Player.html
and when I checked the Internet Explorer and Chrome, they agree.
However, if I go to the page Firefox Add - ons said I Shockwave Flash 19.0.0.185 and lists the file as:
NPSWF32_19_0_0_185.dll, NPSWF32_19_0_0_226.dll
looks as if the two versions 19.0.0.185: and 19.0.0.226:are installed with Firefox running 19.0.0.185.
Is this correct?
And, if so, would it be useful if I delete NPSWF32_19_0_0_226.dll?
If Firefox was in use during the upgrade the file to the previous version, will remain on the system and marked for deletion after a reboot. However, Firefox needs to detect the latest version, not the previous version. Of after your most recent message, if you restarted your system between the time of your first post and your last post, the DLL from the previous version (19.0.0.185) has been removed.
Cyrco is not officially supported, as such, it might be a slightly different behavior from that of Firefox, which is officially supported.

When and where can I get the beta version of firefox 31 ESR?
The current beta is downloadable on http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/#beta is v30.0b9, right? (if so, why not v31.09b?) (Also, my platform is Linux)
As much as I KNOW Firefox ESR is not a beta or alpha as the regular Firefox releases. The current beta version is 30.0b9, but I expect that to change because 30 was released and the beta version will be based on 31.0 soon. I think have the wrong you how will the versions. Each channel of Firefox (nightly, Aurora, beta, release) past six weeks in trials and then gets moved to the new channel (for example, nightly-> Aurora-> Beta-> exit).
The link you're talking about above is the 30 Firefox Beta 9 (which will change as I said soon). ESR downloads are at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/ http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ and the FAQ at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/
Note that Mozilla has a release calendar publicized for all versions of Firefox.

How to remove the beta version
I found this difficult to use beta version, missing buttons and white pages are some of the problems. I want to delete and return to normal in firefox please
You can install Firefox 28 without deleting the beta version. This will leave your data personal in place. You can get Firefox 28 from this page:
https://www.Mozilla.org/Firefox/all/ (scroll down to your language)
(If you prefer to uninstall Firefox 29 first, make sure you do NOT delete your personal data (bookmarks, etc.) because there is no cancellation for this.)

My version, 4.0.1 my asked to apply the update to version 5 Beta.
When I look for more details on the reasons, I cannot find any available information.
I then back to firefx page automatically where it says I have the latest version. It is possible that you are still on the beta update channel, if you have already installed a release candidate or a beta version of Firefox 4.
You can check that in looking at pref app.update.channel on the subject: config page.
If the value of this pref is beta so it is best to download and install the latest version of Firefox 4.0.x. -

I was a beta tester for Firefox 4, but I want to stay with the stable versions that are compatible with my plugins for now. Whenever I start Firefox 4.01, he pompts upgrade me to version beta 5.0, which he called an important security and stability update. In my view, 4.01 is the general release to date, and I would stop invites me to upgrade to a beta version of Firefox.
It is possible that you are still on the beta update channel, if you have already installed a release candidate or a beta version of Firefox 4.
You can check that in looking at pref app.update.channel on the subject: config page.
To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.
You can use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a pref.If the value of this pref is beta so it is best to download and install the latest version of Firefox 4.0.x.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the file on the desktop DMG
- Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
- Trash the present application Firefox to do a clean (re-) install
- Install the new version you downloaded

41.0 Firefox is a beta version, I'm told of Norton. Toolbar does not work
I've upgraded to firefox ver. 41.0 Norton Toolbar does not work with it and it's a program that I use extensively. Norton tells their toolbar does not work because the worm 41.0 is a beta version. I changed my beta version updated channel by mistake and it upgraded to a beta version, and now there is no option to restore.
You can only change the update channel if you uninstall Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder or install a beta version or release that copies a file new channel - prefs.js. Update Firefox never changes the update channel. Only a full installation will do it.
