Why iBooks uses 10 GB of storage in iOS 9.2.1 with no books in the app?

MY iPad shows that iBooks uses almost 10 GB of storage even if there are no books, and it's an application that I do not yet. Given that I can't delete the app, how to solve this problem?

What have you tried so far? You have:

-tried to close the application via the taskbar of the iPad

-do a soft-reset/reboot of the iPad

-tried to select clock and a small book or PDF from iTunes from your computer to the app to see if it frees up space
