  a. Windows Audio

   

  b. Windows Audio Endpoint Builder

   

  And its dependencies are

   

  c. multimedia class Scheduler

   

  d. remote procedure call

   

  e. generator Windows Audio endpoint

   

  a. click Start, type services.msc in the search box.

  b. search for the services mentioned above and check if the services are started and the Startup type is set to Automatic.

  You can use the Ctrl key and then click with the regular selection tool, clicking with ctrl will make a new keyframe. in this way, have no need for the tools. CTRL has other great shortcuts that will stop you having to spend retouching pads tools too.

Another post said that HP will not have to provide these drivers for Windows 7. The HP solution for my model and Windows 7 has been the "HP Software Advisor" who was 67 MB and totally unnecessary. It seems that it is a very common problem. In any case, here's what you do:

  First of all, you need 2 files that come quite ironically HP, they are SP35558.exe and SP35558.cva they contain drivers for Vista x 64 Conexant. (Later, I found the 32-bit drivers and the procedure should be very similar, except that the files are SP34789.exe and SP34789.cva). Type the following command in your browser address bar ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/ to half way down you will find the subdirectory with these files. Just right click on them and save it on your desktop.

  Double-click on SP35558.cva and tell Windows to use Notepad to open it. Scroll to halfway down to "[Operating Systems]" and after 'WV64UL = OEM' insert:
  W764HB = OEM
  W764HP = OEM
  W764PR = OEM
  W764UL = OEM

  (For systems 32-bit using W732HB = OEM, etc.).

  I then went up to about 10 lines "[system information]" and added

  I'm running Win 8 Pro 64 bit, Asus GTX 760. Connected to the U2415 using the miniDP to DP cable.

  It is: after turning off my monitor for a period of time (PC fixed IT), 2 hours or more, after turning it back on, I see lines on the screen.

  I will need to restart the PC for it to be back to normal.

  It will not happen if I turned OFF the monitor for a short period. Only when I turned OFF for a few hours.

  Hi Chris, just an update.

  A local forumer had discovered how to solve.

  It was the scene of DP1.2. By default, it is set to "Disable". After that I put to 'Activate' and test it for 2 days, everything seems fine now.
