• Why e/mails, that I write sometimes disappear completely without warning and are never recoverable in drafts or anywhere else?

  This seems to happen with frequency more and more. I wrote an e-mail/or responding to one, and sometimes if I made a mistake in typing, a gong as noise is heard. A few times I can solve the error, sometimes everything I work on everything disappears and is irretrievable. Very frustrating. A few times my typing disappears with no error or anything else. They just disappear from the screen. WHY?

Usually, when I look at the icon to the left of the screen is highlighted and sometimes the menu it contains is displayed. Looking at the account in Thunderbird foders, I see the number of unread messages in each folder. "Bulk Mail" always seems to be empty. If I click on the "Bulk Mail" folder, then magically messages appear in the message list and the number of unread messages is displayed next to the name of the folder, as in all other folders for this account.

  Why I need to touch the "Bulk Mail" folder to see the number of messages inside?

  Yahoo deletes the messages in this folder during certain periods. I'm in danger of losing messages unless I remember to touch all of the mail files in bulk from my account Yahoo in Thunderbird.

  I do not use IMAP in Thunderbird, so I can't provide instructions step by step, however, other e-mail programs have settings synchronize each individual file on a calendar or using push IMAP (vs when you click it) or not. If Thunderbird has these parameters, I would expect that they appear in the properties of the folder or the account settings. This might be useful, but I don't know if you already have a few dig like that or not.

  It might be a good starting point because it does not mention connections to IMAP folder, but the folder properties could still be somewhere easier to read first, just in case. To do this, the site lists this:

  However, I think that you could right-click on the "Bulk Mail" folder and click Properties on the shortcut menu.

  Windows Mail keeps creating mail folders in the Inbox with the same names as existing files from the Inbox. When I do drag messages in the Inbox folders, messages will again be saved in files with the same name in the Inbox. When I transfer these messages in folders unwanted in the correct on Inbox folders, I get error Message can not be found when the selection of the recognized object - until I close and then reopen WM.. Then I get two copies of each new message in the correct folders, which opens successfully, the second can not find the above message. I remove the empty and offensive messages new folders in the inbox every time. This "bug" is more a nuisance than a problem I can fix things manually, but the "bug" repeats the problem for new messages when I forward these messages to the existing folders outside of the Inbox. Why this is happening and how to fix it?

  I suggest in WinMail you create temporary files (tempJob and TempBus).  Then, in Windows Mail move all the folders 'Job' (but many are) messages in the folder TempJob and then do the same for messages of the 'Business' files in the TempJob folder.  Then in WinMail delete all work and all cases except the temp ones.  Then close WinMail, and then run the compact functions and repair of WMUtil (detection of malware in scxout.dll was a false positive, but you don't need this dll for this).  Then reopen WinMail and see if things work very well.  If so, you can rename the temporary folders to work and business and then see if the problem is resolved.

  This solution worked, at least as much as I tested it.

  One caveat I noticed concerns rename files back to employment and business to WinMail. Mail moved to employment or a business in WinMail is still saved in TempJob and TempBusiness in WinExplorer (while in employment and Affairs to WinMail). This occurs even if you rename TempJob work and TempBusiness of business in WinExplorer. WinMail will simply recreate TempJob and TempBusiness and ignore the files that you renamed employment and business in WinExplorer.

  I had my server running beautifully for serval months now.  Last Friday, we noticed that some of the emails from our office did not reach their destination in a few minutes. Some would take hours and days. I could very well receive emails. We organize our company e-mail service in the House on a mac mini with OX 10.11.6 5.1.7 server. In case of problems today, I determined that the implementation of relay on the server is correct, but when I need local customers send the relay through our server it fails. If I uncheck this requirement, local customers can send very well.

  

  The requirement of relay works well until last week. Without going through this may very well at the moment, but it seems counter-intuitive. Is there a problem with the installation of relay that needs work to update or rinsed out properly?

  Well, first of all, I assume you mean not Firefox and Thunderbird...

  So I guess you run a Pop account, and so when you delete your emails in Thunderbird, they remain unchanged on your e-mail server.

  For some unknown reason, Thunderbird forget that he already blotted out all those old e-mails and download them again.

  If you have two solutions:

  • switch to one account imap (more effective than Pop)
  • set up your pop account so that mail deleted in Thunderbird are also deleted on the server

  I just upgraded to El Capitan and some email accounts no longer connect. (IMAP)
