• Why is my VM so great? How can I reduce the size?

  I started several years with over a VM in XP Pro OS X 10.5 (currently OS X 10.6.8 Fusion 4.1.2), which has grown to about 15 GB of 2 GB. Shrink brought up to about 13 or 14 GB.

  I only use the VM for QuickBooks Pro and casual browser tests. Not to mention that QuickBooks, my additional applications only are Microsoft Security Essentials, CC Cleaner, Primo PDF, Firefox and Safari. The only document that I keep on the virtual machine is the current QuickBooks company file. I use instant No.

  So, my question is, why my VM so great? How indigestion can be removed?

  P.S. - I think I figured out how to see the size of the disk in Windows Explorer > workstation > disc Local (c). Capacity is 19.9 GB, is 11.7 GB used space and free space is 8.24 GB.

  First of all, I was just a point and the disk image hard virtual is strictly only with Windows XP Professional SP3 installed with the standard Microsoft Defaults and no additional software applications like Microsoft Office etc.   It is not unreasonable for a fully installed system (Windows XP and user Applications) to consume more than 2 GB, but the real problem is that David started with a Virtual Machine that has been much lower, then it is now and it must be understood that it is unfortunately quite normal for the drive to become bloated and if it was just a normal physical system probably , would not be a problem though because it is a Machine virtual use of space on the host, it is a question.   He has some choice, learn how to remove what is not really necessary, or perform a clean build, which will be initially much smaller the current even if virtual machine it to finally happen in size unless the indigestion is controlled along the way.

  I've got 13 MPEG files with a total volume of 20.5 GB (each approximately 1.9 GB) and imported in, put them in a 13 calendar en build a context menu. It is ready to burn on Blu - ray, but unfortunately everything is 50 GB. Deadlines are now around 4.5 GB. Why are they so big? Why still turns a 2 GB file in a timeline of 5 GB? Each scenario has about 40 chapters, but which does not so much space, it? It has something to do with transcoding or something? My transcoding parameter is the same that I used when I exported the files of first after having changed the export parameters.

  Can someone help me with this? I would really appreciate it. Sorry for my bad English. I've got the Adobe Master Collection CS5 with the why. Thank you!

  

  

  I think that the answer to both your questions is not: cannot use replace active to a m2v rather on a multiplexed mpeg.  And you can't copy chapter markers.  (Many of us would like to see more sophisticated handling of chapter marker in again and again and other applications.)

  It does not take long to redo chapter markers.  Before changing your project, cross the original timeline which has markers.  Use the icon of chapter in advance and write the timecode of each marker.  Then after you do replace it, simply enter the time code and set it.

  If you use frames to display, do the same thing.  You can view the properties of chapter for timecode poster.

  Your biggest problem in this kind of situation is the fact that the markers must be placed at the limits of the gop.  If the chapters have been put in the first, you're probably fine.  If define you them in still originally and in your new files transcoded the timecode of the marker does not fall on a line gop still will move the marker.

  As long as the location is not crucial, it won't matter.

  I write data rate simultaneously two analog channels to TDMS file to sample 10 kHz using the capture of data OR PCI card - 6111 12-bit.

  Simply calculate:

  10000 samples per second x 12 bit x 2 channels is 240000 bits per second = 30 kbytes/s = 1.8 MB per minute.

  I have 766 seconds takes long recording, so it should be: 30 kbytes/s x 766 second = about 23 MB.

  But my TDMS file takes 123 MB! and I have problem with these large treatment TDMS files, for example I have no memory of enogh for analysis of FOIA. Where is the problem?

  You're right, I wrote the values of voltage in volts as waveform (DBL) of DAQmx, but number DBL is 64-bit, that's why my files was so great.

  Now, I write not adjusted data represented as I16 (16-bit integer), and everything is ok.

• MacBook Pro disconnects Internet randomly

  Hi friends,

  I have a Macbook Pro of the retina (11.3 end 2013) gives me a headache with WiFi at home.

  In my Studio, where I have another internet provider, it works well, but in my house is disconnect randomly.

  I have an apple TV, two ipads, an iphone and a macbook, all very well without any problem of internet work.

  I rechecked the domains DNS and TCP/IP to be exactly like the other MacBooks, which works very well. The only number that is different is the last of the IPv4, which I think is great because it shows the different device IP address. This number changes whenever I am connected, according to the other connection of both devices. Whenever I tried the Configurator wizard get correct for a few minutes, and then internet connection disappears again.

  So, what can cause this problem? Why I have a solid connection in my studio and not at home? Why the other macbook is great if I have the same values TCP/IP and DNS? The internet provider, I called and they told me that they work with IP and dynamic DNS, so it's good to let them 'automatic', which is what I use.

  Any help appreciated.

  Please do the following and after each test to see if the problem is resolved - if yes, then you can omit the following steps - I tried to list them in ascending order of the effort at least on a Mac and / or an iDevice

  1. Check if the problem is related to a single device and if other devices connect normally-
  2. If the answer 1 is 'yes' - try to connect the device assigned to somewhere else if possible - coffee or the University
  3. Settings - WiFi - < network name > - Click on forget network - do a restart forced according to 3 and then add again the network
  4. If home - reboot the router by unplugging it for 60 seconds (power) and the plug and reconnect - obviously, this step can be done in a public place like a cafe or airport or University. While you're there - make sure your router is working on the latest firmware (check manufacturer's website)
  5. Hold the pointer over the WiFi icon - click Option and then press the icon - run diagnostics of WiFi
  6. If no problem - let it run in the background and see if it detects something
  7. While you're there - make a snapshot of the gray matter and post it after deletion of personal information
  8. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

• Problem running Windows 7 Ultimate on Toshiba NB 500

  I have a Toshiba NB 500 brand new, bought with Windows7 Starter. I've upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and performance are terrible.

  The processor works 80-100% beyond 1 GB of RAM are used only by the system and all the programs I try to start takes forever. Is there a hardware problem or the system does not support 7 Ultimate?

  If the system is the problem, how can I go back to Windows 7 Starter, because XP doesn't have drivers for this model?

  In my opinion NB500 is designed for basic operations, as well as to offer the maximum on mobility. I also think that this piece of equipment is not designed to run heavy apps.

  It is small, you can carry it with you everywhere where you go and use for the internet, emails, Skype and some multimedia stuff so I put t understand why do you expect a great performance. Because of these facts, I think that Toshiba doesn't offer a lot of support for this piece of hardware.

  Nothing in the user guide for how we should use these drives.

  On the D drive, I see there a sector recovery, but why the partition D so great?
  Is it possible to use the D drive for stuff in general use?
  Can be resized so that the D drive is not large enough for the recovery of data leaving a C drive?

  It's true! There is a HARD drive that is partitioned into two partitions.
  The C partition is the system partition containing the Win 7 OS and partition D contains image files and HARD drive recovery.

  The image files are needed to create an own Toshiba Recovery disk (using a creator Toshiba recovery media). Drive recovery HARD helps you to recover the laptop without the use of such a disk recovery process can be started from the HARD drive. Of course, this is possible if the partition D will not change

  If you want to change the size of the partition D, then I highly recommend to create a recovery disk before touching this partition!

  So actually, I bought this cause laptop I remember trying the new laptop from my mother-in-law a few years ago and I loved it cause it was incredible fast and can run all games on ultra settings more it was extremely cheap in the store, like $ 900 (I didn't know that it is only cheap until after I had bought mine online). I bought mine online from a normal store and it costs about 1, 4 k dollars. But the big disadvantage was that when I got mine, mine was nowhere near as fast as my parents laptop o_o it was exactly the same laptop, blus I paid almost double for her. I actually play most of the games on parameters lower or I will lag.   Thank you for the information. I have a few steps for you to follow.

  1. plug the laptop directly into the wall socket for charger the portable computer is running.

  2. check that the power settings are not on energy saving modes.

  3 using Microsoft System Configuration (Windows 7) go to the Boot tab > go to advanced settings > and uncheck the number of processors.

  4. click on Appy or save and restart the computer.

  This should solve the problem you are experiencing.

  All,

  Before we get into what my question is, I think it may be best to give you some background information on what makes my program. My "small" program uses VISA series features to fill the values in Excel from any device available in the menu drop down so my end users do not have to hand enter the values of the selected device. Bascially, it makes more efficient use of their time.

  I get some strange behaviour with my VI. When my program works, sometimes, it still does not receive the file information, and the file does not open. I have to re - type or select my file again, then press the button "Test Device" again for the file to start.

  Any ideas on what it could be? Of course, this isn't cleaner code, but it works. In addition, any ideas on how to condense this VI would also be appreciated. FYI - I use a monitor 22 '' that's why the code block is great.

  Regarding your VI, the issue is that you do not pass through the values in the case of timeout. Thus, the thread that keeps the file name is reset. As well as other values.

• Repeated supply and installation of a security update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 for x 64-based systems (KB954430)... WINDOWS 7

  OK brand new windows 7 home premium desktop did yesterday, all the running back usual disks etc. and update, but I was offered and installed the update above about 10 times. How can I fix this, have tried searching and I find Vista responds ok but not for Windows 7.

  Quick update, the fix above certainly did not in the present case even if this has worked for me in the past on other machines.

  Im going to say I think I cured problem for now in any case.

  How I did it is I went into microsoft downloads and downloaded the update kb954430 and recorded on my machine. I then ran this update and instead of installing it, I used the option to remove the update, which came in the installer. Reebooted machine then let windows automatically download and install the update even I had just removed and it seems to have installed correctly this time I get is more asked to install it again.

  Thanks for the help Supreth, well aware that this is a common problem and I didn't know the fix for XP and vista, but guess I was just not the confidence to try it in windows 7 on my nice new shiny machine. Although your method did not work for me this time the link you provided of course lead me on the correct path to a better understanding of why this has happened. GREATLY APPRECIATED

  You all that hard work the fields chickens and then try to destroy with super.sublayout () call. I'm sure that's what throws the exception. Check your myWidth and myHeight before the call to super.sublayout (). You might find that getPreferredWidth() returns to zero.

  I don't know why you would want to increase the parameter y in a horizontal field in any event handler. If anything, set x and not just randomly, by 10, but by the field.getWidth (). But it's logical that if you extend the Manager and remove super.sublayout call.

  More important still, you can get what you want much easier to not the substitution of all sublayouts and instead use setMargin on your domains.

• Loss of disk space available every day as System Volume Information folder is the largest on my hard drive

  My PC is under Windows7 Home Premium... version 6.1... Build 7601... service pack 1.

  I have a 1 TB hard drive... 3 weeks ago, I've had approximately 813 gb free space... now, I have only 603 gb of free space. I noticed that the folder System Volume Information is passed to 209,53 Go. Don't know why this issue became so great. I lost about 5 to 20 GB of free space on the hard disk every day.

  The System Volume Information folder is the largest on my hard drive... Users folder is 43.38 GB... Windows folder is 31.89 GB... WinSxS folder is 15,18 GB.

  I installed a couple of applications in the last 6 months... Driver booster... Download App... and size of file.

  I didn't save my PC in the last 3 weeks because of this problem.

  The only application that I use for backup is MotoCast USB... it creates a backup of the SD card in my smartphone to my PC.  I've been backup card SD in my phone every 3-4 weeks for the past 2 years but never lost so much hard drive space until the last 3 weeks.

  Any suggestions?

  I suggest that you should the Zone Alarm Firewall and use Windows Firewall.
