Why is my wireless printer seems Offin?

HI: I have an OfficeJet 6700 premium.  It is connected to my home wireless network.

(1) I can print when connected via USB.

(2) light is on which means that it is connected wireless.  I confim with via the configuration menu of the printer itself that is actually connected to my home network WEP protected. Full bars.

(3) I am runing 64 x Win7.   When I print (anything... including a test page), I see the document queue, but within 5 seconds, the spooler window displays the status: "error - offline - print".

(4) in the printers and devices window, not connected via USB and I just click on the printer in the network to "See what is printing", the window title is: "Office Jet (in a network).   If I then print a test page, a few seconds of the benefit, this window is renamed in "Office Jet (in a network) - offline" (and of course, the State displays the error).

I used to be able to print wireless... not that I've changed?     I could have played with "homegroups" but it was not intentional?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you

    Hi Mpsfeldt,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

Your question, it looks like you are only able to use AirPrint sporadically. We know that situations of this kind can be frustrating, but we are here to help.

  • My HP OfficeJet 6500 wireless printer prints slowly with very long breaks during printing...

I saw a very old post on this but no solution so I'll try a new position.

Also, I'm not sure I'm even barking to the top of the tree on the right.

My PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and is up-to-date with all the updates.

Recently my Officejet 6500 a more printer E710n-z began to print very slow with long breaks and, in some cases, falling output and in other cases simply do not print.  If I print the various printer and cartridge of test pages from the printer itself, they have long breaks but seem to finally print correctly.  I've been playing with that try to circumvent the problem as long as I'm not really sure print the (from the front of the printer) are always correct.

I uninstalled the printer and all its associated and software reinstalled using the latest download available on the HP support site, but it made no difference.

After sanding my teeth to a measure of costly troubleshooting, I bought a set of completely new and installed HP cartridges.  Once again, no difference.

You don't know if it is a herring or not but when I printed him using both iPrint from my iPhone, as well as the HP ePrint feature email, while still having the very long pause he eventually print a text message only correctly.

Finally, on the first time I printed the properties/test page it printed the HP, logo, displayed while the ink was drying for what seemed like a minute ago, powered form to another page, delayed for awhile and then printed broadband nonsense, form fed once again, and after another long break printed what appeared to be the upper third or the word Windows.

Sometimes when printing from the iPhone, it will display a low ink message - even if it has a new set of cartridges HP - and sometimes the PC displays an error saying: he can't communicate with the printer.  Can I still access the printer with the function of Windows printer or HP web access so clearly the wireless network connection is still viable.

What do you think?  This old printer a year and a half has simply turned into an opportunity to mimic the famous scene copied from office space?  Or has someone else observed or experienced this and knows how I could solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for help you what can offer?

Thank you.  The article that you included was one of the first I found when I started researching this issue.  I also found articles on other uninstallation methods, as well as to remove and clean the printhead - everything I tried.

Only, the printer is connected to the wireless network.  The power is connected directly to a wall outlet that I follow for the level of tension and the power used.

The problem seems to be resolved now.  If she does not return to its recalcitrant ways in a few days, I will consider this closed.

    Here's what I did...

I was trying to uninstall from the control panel.  I noticed that when I would get the ini file, read all entries in the menu 'Start' mistake had been removed, but immediately after recognizing the error it would make it back to the starting point and put everything back the way he found.  I tried to use the Task Manager to kill msiexe point of error, but it could still roll back.

Then, for who knows what reason, I tried running uninstall directly from the menu start.  This time, when he stopped and I killed the uninstall process, he stayed collapsed.  I then used the Fusion driver to remove any HP printer drivers that followed RevoUninstaller Pro to find and remove all files followed by CCleaner to clean the registry and associated registry entries.  I'm not advertising or advocating, these are just the tools I've used.

After a reboot, the printer seems to be [finally] completely gone.  I installed the software again and this time it seems like it should be and [so far at least] works properly as well.  I do not think that I messed up [voluntarily] with this printer because I bought a few years ago.  I don't know what caused it, but it seems that I had several instances of competitors or software drivers in layers.

I made a clone of the disc and then tried again to uninstall the printer.  Even if it was just after a successful installation and a reboot he would always leave with the same error "Unable to read" in the same place.  The error code in the case where the file is the same as that used by other systems for "not enough contiguous disk space.  I have 384 GB free on a 1 TB drive and Norton reorganizes the disk every week so that the error number can be a distraction, but I have yet to find something better to inform me.  What initially may also be why the restore will not complete successfully or the other.

Ah the joys of PC ownership.  You have to wonder how many PCs get retired every year simply because the owner has not been enough tech-savvy and pay someone else's expensive with no guarantee of success.

    Sigh...

  • OfficeJet 4635: Portable wireless printer NEVER lose wireless connection, what gives?

Why am I never lose my connection to wireless printer?  I entered the network number and the password more than 15 times now.  Ready to return this * #L! printer.  Fact the wizard game until at least 10 times.  What gives?  Saying: this is a wirelss printer is comedy, because it is not.  Drivers are updated, update software.  Occurs on multiple computers.  There, can someone help me and how HP can sell these things when EVERYONE seems to have this problem.

This solution seems to have solved my problem.  I re-post if it happens again

  • Debugging a "Wired/Wireless Printer connection.

Suddenly, I have a problem with my printer Epson WF4650 age of 1 month. My setup at home is fairly simple

    (1) printer is wired (Ethernet) to a classic Netgear router

    (2) I have two laptops (the two Dell laptps) that print (a Vista and a Win7) wireless to my router (and it allows access to the printer)

    (3) things worked pretty well, although I often had a message for the dialog box 'Printers and devices' under the State which is "error - printing". He would go from time to time, I would cancel the job and re - print and it would work. I would say that this was maybe 1-5 jobs on.

Earlier today, I printed a work without a problem, so I tried to print another short document. I get the message "error - printing". And now everything that I try to print creates this final result.  Things that which do not help.

    (1) restart my PC

    (2) print another document (a Wordpad doc with a single line)

    (3) print from another computer.

    (4) restart EVERYTHING (laptop, printer, router)-I also did a "hard restart" on the printer (unplugged) "

    5) re - defining the ethernet between my router and printer connectors

    (6) my PRINTERS folder is empty (thingey of print spooler)

    (7) the printer seems fine for purposes of printing information about the State of the control panel

    (8) I find the Guide of the curious user, especially in the context of things networking. I don't see even my configuration in the list, but I can't imagine it not supported (and it worked for a month). But I don't know enough to be able to understand what he said.

I have zero problems with internet traffic, BTW. Modem connection cable.

I did an IPCONFIG / renew, but this was not helpful.

My network is on zero. I can't even say the output of the IPCONFIG/All command, whether or not my printer is known to be connected to my router.

I don't know where I should look then (printer, router, computer laptop, combination, etc.). Suggestions?

    Thank you. ;

    Dave

I continued to dig into the manual, found a term that I had misunderstood (causing me to jump to the relevant section of the manual) and found a step that had to be done. And it is to disable WI - FI (I am connected to my router).

Of course I was not connected via WI - FI (stumbled upon some sort of problem with my firewall, so I just plugged the thing). And I have no idea why I went from "occasional failures" to "cannot print a single thing, darn" by doing nothing more than find and open a jpg file to print.

But I'm going to mark this one resolved, as I don't seem to be able to print again.

New author bnortman (922608) was the first to write with the word of globaljustin "a new research paper discussing a new form of taking fingerprints and follow-up for the web using the HTML 5 < canvas > the user." adds more than one item to Pro Publica: works footprints canvas by loading the browser of the visitor to draw a masked image. Because each computer draws the image slightly differently, the images can be used to assign the device to the user a number that uniquely identifies. ... The researchers found the footprints canvas computer code... on 5% of the top 100,000 Web sites. Most of the code has been on Web sites that use AddThis social media sharing tools. Other fingerprinters include commercialization of digital German Ligatus and the Canadian dating site Plentyoffish. ... Rich Harris, Executive Director of AddThis, said that the company began testing the canvas prints earlier this year as a way to replace the biscuits...

Pro Publica article, to date, this technology is not particularly accurate in itself. Nevertheless, perhaps it could be combined with other information to uniquely identify your browser.

The JavaScript canvas feature is useful for animations and is now used by Google to draw spreadsheets. Turn it off - if there were a convenient way to do - should allow specific exceptions to the site, so you can use canvas where it is useful. I'm not aware of any peculiarity or add-on for that.

Perhaps someone could create an add-on that would cause the canvas to a certain degree of hazard, so that every time you visit a site that is just a bit different, and this is why the site doesn't know that it is the same browser each time. Obviously you wouldn't want to ruin, not that useful to the canvas, so it would need to be subtle.

Yes, thank you!  Usually, it works to save it and then print it. Sometimes not. I'm talking about the promo that Qdoba e-mail which was good for today only. When I tried to save it, that part of it would save and therefore did not work. Your solution works and thank you, but it passes through additional difficulties that I wouldn't do. • HP Officejet 4620 e-all-in-one stop wireless print whenever it is turned off

My HP 4620 stop wireless print whenever it is turned off, although it is connected to the network (by the results of the test network wireless, pass & the quality of the signal is excellent).  No troubleshooting - HP Print & Scan Doctor work there is no help, I have to uninstall & reinstall the printer each time to be able to print wireless again.

I use it on/on button to turn the printer off, don't disconnect not.

Please help, or I need to return to the store, this is the third time!

I also had the same issue and after a few game it seemed to have fixed so here's what I did... Hope this helps someone else.

-My printer is connected to my wireless network.

-On my computer that I'm connected to the printer through the IP address 192.168.1.153... (Yours may vary) in a browser

    * You can find the ip address printers on the control panel of the printers by pushing the wireless button and pushing the ok option 1, it should appear with the intensity of the signal and the ip address is at the bottom.

-Once I was on the Printers page in my browser, I went to the tab network at the top.

-Then to Internet Printing Protocol section (on the left in the advanced settings)

-On my own PPI was already on, but the location was empty I put a '1' in the location box and then applied settings.

-C' is the only thing that I changed and now my printer is asleep as always, but when I print something from my iphone, mac or pc it wakes up and prints as it is supposed to!

BTW before I went to the printer via the browser. I changed layout sleep in 15 minutes via the Control Panel on the printer itself, don't know if it helped the issue or not because I still had the problem of sleep after I set the timer to 15 minutes instead of 5 min. But I solved my problem after performing the steps above!

Also note that on the one hand some ppl on here say it's a network problem or a router! This is NOT the case I never even tried these roads and I solved my problem only by changing the setting of the printer! I have not set a static ip address or something like that!  The above steps is things ONLY I touched and my problem is SOLVED!

  • USB and wireless printing on PhotoSmart 7525

We recently purchased a printer all-in-one PhotoSmart HP 7525.  I created the printer via a USB cable to a single computer (the main desktop computer).  The printer works perfectly in this way.

We also have a wireless network and other devices on the network to use the HP printer.  However, the main desktop computer doesn't have wireless connectivity, it's why I connected the printer with a USB cable.  I don't want to replace Wireless USB connectivity.  I want to add wireless capabilities, so we have two options available (USB only for the desktop, wireless for iPhones, ipads and other computers on the wireless local area network).  Furthermore, I realize that we need to install the printer drivers on any PC without wire that we want to have access to the PhotoSmart printer.

What I want to do is to leave the main computer set up exactly as it is (USB connection).  I want to put the printer on the wireless network without disturbing this set-up.  What is the best way to add this printer to our network on the main computer wireless capability wireless?

Thanks a lot for your help.

In fact for the specific printer you can do it from the Panel as well.

Follow these steps to connect the printer to the new network by using the Wireless Setup Wizard.
