OfficeJet 4635: Portable wireless printer NEVER lose wireless connection, what gives?

Why am I never lose my connection to wireless printer?  I entered the network number and the password more than 15 times now.  Ready to return this * #L! printer.  Fact the wizard game until at least 10 times.  What gives?  Saying: this is a wirelss printer is comedy, because it is not.  Drivers are updated, update software.  Occurs on multiple computers.  There, can someone help me and how HP can sell these things when EVERYONE seems to have this problem.

This solution seems to have solved my problem.  I re-post if it happens again

We have a problem get sustained response of our HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format Printer - E809a which is connected to the network wireless ethernet to a router Netgear cable.  We tried stripping on the software driver & uninstall of the printer of the registry, and then re-setup from latest downloads from the HP site.  It works, especially if the device is set as the default printer, but the printer greys out less than an hour in the device registry and the default value automatically resets to another printer.  Does anyone know why this printer loses his connection?

    Hi @Harry64,

I see by your post that continues to change the default printer. I'd love to help you.

Disable the SMTP setting in print, to see drivers if this will help.

Devices and printers, click with the right button on the printer and click on printer properties, click the Ports tab, select Configure the Port, clear the SMTP check box and the printer should display online.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: Wireless connection is 'hogging' my bandwidth on router

Until this week, I have always connected my computer to my router via an ethernet cable direct. But recently I had to move my router to a different location so decided to use the wireless on my printer to connect to my computer (laptop). When I noticed that my wireless connection for the interest rate has been substantially reduced I started checking all computer products in my house (two IPAD, a desktop and my laptop). What I've discovered, it's my 8620 was "hogging" bandwidth of the connection to the router wireless. Even if the printer is not used (but on) he continues to reduce the speed of my connection to the computer. I discovered this by:

    (a) I disabled all the computers & IPADs, but left the printer on - the wireless light on the router keeps blinking like crazy

    (b) I turned off my printer with my computer and connection speed instantly jumped about 3 x the speed

So, with the printer off, the speed of my connection to the computer is about 3 times faster. I do not quite understand this and wonder why the printer connection to the wireless router is "hogging" bandwidth when the printer is not yet used?

    Someone has an idea?

    Hey @kenz1-_,.

I see that you are having problems with your router and your 8620 e-all-in-one printer Officejet. For this problem, you must contact the manufacturer of your router or one that provided you with the router for assistance.

    Hello @bob3677,

    Thank you for the update.

So should I understand that you assign an IP address manually and also assigned a TCP/IP port? Let me know.

If fact, I would say that provide you for your printer administration permissions.

    • Press the 'Windows key' + 'r' for 'run' - Type 'coil' and press ok.
    • Right click on 'PRINTERS' - select 'properties '.
    • Select the security"" tab. You will find a few entries like the 'Administrators' and 'users', click on 'Edit' and give "Full permission" at all entrances. Save / apply settings.
    • Go to "Devices and printers", right-click on the printer you have installed and select "printer properties".
    • Select the security"" tab. You will find a few entries like the 'Administrators' and 'users', click on 'Edit' and give "Full permission" at all entrances. Save / apply settings.
    • Restart your computer and try again to print.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • Mac: Officejet 6500 e710n wireless connectivity problems

    Printer: HP Officejet 6500 e710n-z

    Mac OS x Lion 10.7.5

I have successfully been printing wirlessly with my Offiject 6500 e710n for over a year. Connectivity comes and goes but I was always able to reconnect them by restarting the printer or reconnect them via the IP address of the printer.

However it doesn't work anymore. I tried to uninstall the printer drivers and reinstall and now the printer is not found wireless on the network at all (despite the fact the wireless printer shows all connections very well). I tried the following:

-Add the printer manually using the IPv4 address--> says device not found

-IP address of the printer type in my web browser--> says unable to connect because the server is not responding

-connect via the usb port on the printer--> recognizes the printer, set up the wireless network, says disconnect and then it disappears again, says device not found

I'm starting to run out of ideas... Any suggestions to help me reconfigure / reinstall my printer to make it work again would be greatly appreciated!

Solved the problem - power source disconnected both router and the printer for 60 seconds, then restarted devices and it seemed to fix things

  • OfficeJet 4635: assistant lost printer

I lost my printer app Wizard and the icon when I upgraded to a new driver.  I followed other threads and deleted the software and reinstalled by instructions and not good.  I tried using the disk and go good.  The printer is connected wirelesslyand worked before the upgrade. It prints well and fine analysis of thre printer.  Please help me get back the printer assistantg.

I finally he stares at me.  I uninstalled all the HP software again.  Then, I went into REGEDIT and deleted any reference to HP.  Then I ran a registry fix program (SYSTEM Mech. 15).  Turned the printer off, shut down the computer.  Restarted the computer and turned off my auditor of Virus (VIPRE).  The latest version of the full software from HP, printer, ranConnect new printer (wireless).  Finally, I went to the display DEVICES and PRINTERS and installed the NETWORK PRINTER.  The system has requested that I come home from the installation disc, so I did and ran the installer.  When it's over, I got a new selection in the minimal software that had been installed called ASSISTANT PRINTER.  I chose and SHAZAMM!  I have my printer wizard back.  WOW!

Thank you RnRMusicMan for your reply, which came after I did the steps above.  I'm glad I don't have to clean boot and open a new user account.  Cleaning the registry by hand was a chore, but I think it's what brought me back in the game.  Thanks again.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: Wireless connection

Have had this printer for a couple of years, it has perfectly connected to our wireless network with up to now. Any other device wireless in the House connects fine, but the printer cannot find our network. Is to find all the neighbors networks, but not ours. I rebooted. I got the name of the network manually. What should I do?

Turn off printer and router. Turn on the router, wait 3 minutes. Turn on the printer. Status now?

  • OfficeJet 6500 more Wireless connection.

I bought an OJ6500 more and tried to connect to my wireless network. My wireless access Point is a D-Link DWL-G700AP.

I got this wireless network running for more than two years. We recently acquired an iPad and searched printers wireless in the compatibility list, one of which is the OJ6500. I had trouble connecting to the wireless network and I talked to HP Support and they advised I should have the printer replaced, so I returned to the store and they gave me a new.

I have exactly the same problem with the replacement. Having said that, it will connect to my wireless network.

    Details.

I run a set SSID. (no question here that the network OJ6500 Wizard can find my SSID)

I run the WEP 128 bit shared key. (all other devices on the network connect successfully using the same WEP key).

I run MAC filtering. (I also tried running without MAC filtering, but still no connection).

The DWL-G700AP acts as a DHCP server. (I don't see any indication that the OJ6500 gets all requesting an address. DHCP - in fact, I want to make it static, but can't see how... yet)

I updated the Firmware of the DWL-G700AP, just in case, but still no connection.

All the PC's on the network are wired with static IP, and install the CD software seems to want to know the details wireless, which of course is of little value as the PC must print to a printer on an IP address.

Does anyone have any suggestions of 'useful', before you take this one back and get a refund?

    Hello

All the latest HP products does not support authentication Shared Key Wep, which is the least secure methods available.

Enter the configuration of your router, click the Wireless button on the home tab.

Set authentication as an open system and apply the changes.

    * Be sure to reboot your router if requested.

Run the Wireless Setup Wizard in the printer menu and it should connect no problem now.

The specific configuration, no matter what device currently connected to your network wireless must stay connected by its settings.

Please let me know any progress,

    Shlomi

  • HP OfficeJet 4635: Unable to print from JO 4635

Today, out of the blue, the unit has stopped printing. The message "the i o operation was abandoned because either a thread exit" returns constantly to each application, I tried.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver at least 3 times in the last hours. The same problem. I run HP printing and the doctor to analyze several times and each time I'm unable to print the TestPage. I didn't choose the "no print" and the internal test page was printed, but a warning indicates that there is some sort of problem with the driver.

  • HP Officejet 4635: Reduced size printing

    How to print 50%

    Hi @53F,.

You can reduce or increase your print size within the program you are printing from.

What browser or program are you printing from?

If you use Internet Explorer, you can use this document; The text is small when printing from Internet Explorer. However, if you use AOL, you can by following these instructions from this post, "How to make the text bigger". These two will show you how to increase the size of the page, but you can use the instructions still to reduce the size.

As you can see change the size of the text will depend on the program you are using.

In Firefox, before opening the print dialog box, select Preview before print on the file Menu. In print preview, choose 100% instead of the scale to the Fit, or select the percentage of the appropriate size you prefer.

It should look like this;  Adapt to a value of 100% and there are 5 pages as a result of the size of the text.

Compared to; Scale to 'Fit to page', in this case there is only 3 pages that the police is smaller so more fits on a page.

As you can see, the font size is larger when you choose 100% instead of scaling to fit page.

If it meets your needs, please consider tagging this post as solved by clicking on accepted as Solution below as well as others find the answer more effectively.
