Why is ssl3 is disabled in firefox 35.01 on my pc, I have test and it's vulnerable to ssl3
I have the latest version of Firefox installed on one of my PC, not this one, Windows 7 Professional. When I ran the test SSL3 he returned my Firefox browser is vulnerable. I looked everywhere to find a solution for this and cannot. Please help me with this.
Thank you
From Firefox 34.0 vulnerable SSL 3.0 has been disable and TLS 1.0 is used by default. https://blog.Mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-SSL-3-0/
The security.tls.version.min about: config must be set to 1 by default which means TLS 1.0 is the minim, uh and not SSL 3.0 which is set to 0 on the preference.
You have Avast? as the analysis of https in Avast can actually make your less secure connection in some cases and cause problems of this kind. So if you have Avast disable https analysis in Avast. Some other antivirus scanners may have an effect on this also.

I just noticed that on Firefox 33.0 release (WinXP 32-bit home), the security.ssl3.dhe_dss_aes_256_sha is set to "false" by default. But not the releated more low security.ssl3.dhe_dss_aes_128_sha, which is still to 'true '.
It must have happened on one of the latest versions.

Why is alt click Save disabled on firefox 13?
I used to be able to press Alt, left click and save but that no longer seems to be the case with firefox 13, why it has been disabled?
It is a great way to selectively and quickly except images instead of a right-click, click Save as, having the backup dialog box appears and then ends up having the saved file.
Ah, never mind I found that the update had disabled the altleft click Save, I looked into: config to see is there something and I saw that there is a browser.altClickSave variable that is set to false.
I put it to true and it started working again.

Adobe flash player unstable and disabled by Firefox
Adobe Flash plugin stopped working on YouTube and other sites. Firefox claims that flashplayer is "unstable" and therefore disabled. It says I need to update, but the update crashes. Things were fine until that Firefox missed this morning. How does a FIREFOX PROBLEM?
Hello aregeejay, you have not a firefox problem, but update your flash plugin. Adobe just released a critical patch for a vulnerability in the plugin, which is apparently already exploited in the wild. That's why firefox will block the precarious versions which run by default on Web sites for your protection. https://helpx.Adobe.com/security/products/Flash-Player/apsb14-27.html https://addons.Mozilla.org/Firefox/blocked/p794
Please update Adobe Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 as soon as possible, that you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows exe for plugin-based browsers).

The problem I encounter is that I disabled the 'NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service"my msconfig configuration. After a reboot when I started Firefox there is a huge delay (2-3 seconds) showed a white screen (which indicates a wait for a timeout).
Now, before pointing at NVIDIA (which I also finger pointing here), I want to clarify, Yes, there's a plugin installed in Firefox (NVIDIA 3D VISION), but it has been set (disabled - never activate). So I wonder why would a disabled plugin that is configured to start never attempt to communicate and causing a such time-out at the start, it makes little sense to me.
Hi TaohRihze, I don't know, but this also occurs when you have disabled hardware acceleration? And who is an extension required for your graphics card?
Instructions below:
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems. You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
Then perform the following steps:
- Open the Firefox Options (Preferences on Mac or Linux) as follows:
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button
then select Options Preferences on Mac or Linux, or Windows.
- In 28.0 Firefox and earlier versions, click on the Firefox orange upper-left button, then select the 'Options' button or, if there is no button up Firefox, go to tools > Options.
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button
- In the window of Firefox Options (or preferences), click on the Advanced tab, and then select general.
- You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
- Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

The extensions have been working much earlier today. Firefox appeared Mid-Autumn Festival with a number of open tabs. I restarted and when it restarted I noticed that it lacked my LastPass connection tool in the menu. Checking the addons in the open menu option showed that all [Avast, LastPass, ePub, Logitech and Skype] extensions have been disabled. I tried to update, but no updates have been found.
Could you try to delete the files where Firefox has stored information on your extensions. The steps are in the position of cor - el here: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1052141#answer-704047
I think Firefox will regenerate the files the next time that you start it up again.

You're just past my firefox at 18.2, all my favorites have been removed, why
At about 9:00 pm EST Firefox worked normally on my pc.
At about 11: 30 a.m. et, I opened Firefox and got a Mozilla screen that says that the program has been changed.
Now all my favorites have disappeared.
Why
Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly or lose bookmarks can be caused by a corrupted database places.sqlite file.
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

extensions are disabled in firefox's private browsing?
I recently spent Firefox to chrome, because it gives the unique password manager.
But unlike chrome or ie9, it gives no information on extensions,
While inprivate browsing.before I use it as my main browser, I want to assure you, that extensions are disabled in private browsing
my request is as simple as
extensions are disabled in firefox's private browsing? No, the extension are not disabled if you run Firefox in private browsing mode.
A few extensions and plugins detect private browsing mode (Firefox notifies them) and can act differently, but it is the developer of the extension.
The only thing that Firefox (addons not included!) PB mode does not save session on the disc data. -
When I go to my home page (start Firefox) located at http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a & rls = org.mozilla:-org.mozilla, big, ugly black boxes appear on the left. They seem to be related to Google. I find them boring and you want to disable them. Where is the control? I have not given permission to Firefox or Google to make this change.

I can't use a website should I use with Firefox 5.0. So, I need to uninstall and go back to 3.5 or 3.6. Please notify. Also, my control panel blocks from Windows Explorer a PMP. That's why I use Firefox instead. Thanks for any help!
I thought it would be FAFSA is causing your problem.
Install Portable Firefox 3.6.x on your hard drive to a Web site. This will not affect any of your current Firefox installation.

Whenever I have download and install the vista security updates I lose Mozilla Firefox. The program and the icon still exist but do not respond. By clicking on the icon or clicking on the program files does produce absolutely no response.
So any time I install updates, I have to run internet explore and firefox redownload. Most annoying. Help.
P.S. Yes, firefox is my default browser. Some problems occurs when your Internet security program has been implemented.
trust the previous version of Firefox, but not more acknowledges your
update as being approved. Now how do I solve the problem: to allow
Firefox to connect to the Internet- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (for example, you are using the latest version).
- Delete Firefox to list your program of programs approved or recognized. For detailed instructions, see
Configure the firewall so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Until very recently, Firefox would open to a page of my choice and with the showing by default bookmarks bar. Last week it stopped happening and I have to now go to view > sidebar > bookmarks every time I open Firefox. How can I put it so that the sidebar appears automatically? I'm using Firefox 30.0.1 with Windows XP Home Edition.
Another option is to create a new profile to check if your profile is causing the problem rather than use a reset which cannot be canceled easily.
This way you can return to your current profile if the new profile does not help.See "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

My Firefox is updated, I the 7.0.1. version, when I open tools and click on about Firefox, it shows me just that, the 7.0.1. Version. Same here, using Firefox, the site warned me: warning: Firefox 3.6 only will be maintained with security and updates of stability for a short period of time. Please upgrade to the latest version of Firefox.
Also if I want to install an add-on, I can't because "he is not available for 3.6"»
I uninstalled and installed again, no use. What could be the problem?Your string UserAgent in Firefox is marred by another program you have installed.

If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access this page.
