Safari on my iphone fairly new 6s went haywire.  Safari opens very well, and if you type a direct URL, it will go on the site very much.  However, if I try to search for any topic it will pull up the pages of Web sites, but does not allow me to connect to all the links when I select a link it freezes and crashes safari.   In addition, if I try to open any link embedded in an e-mail, it still freezes and blocks the mail AND Safari.   Try resetting Safari. Close Safari completely from the multitasking window by double clicking the Home button and slide up the preview pane of Safari until it disappears from the display.   Thanks Jscher it waqs a add on called 'Adblock Plus 2.2.1' as soon as it was turned off everything was back to normal. Just to prove it I active re and the problem comes back. So I completely removed.
