    I experienced the same problem recently and found my problem. I don't know if this applies to other people, but here's what I found and changed:

    I use the Catalyst driver for my ATI graphics card.

    I turned off "morphological filtering" in the game 3d application settings.

    All games are now works great!

    Update your laptop. You must be windows 8.1 to see/install apps in the store.

    I do not use one. Box is unchecked under internet options.
    I tried calling support or the one dealing with what I am getting just 15 minutes hold tone, and then the guy who picks up I do not understand because of a thick accent. (Who even worse just me)

    I ran into this problem after using iobit advanced systemcare 7 ultimate. in the tab of the Toolbox, there is an option titled control system control panel, then information. on the general tab, there is a dialog box with the two categories, the windows registry and user data from windows install, where you can change the name and the company. the current name was my connection to hotmail email, when I changed to my real name, broken store windows. When I changed it to my original login information, it started working again.     However; From desktop MAPI calls will not interact with / open the Mail application.

    In the end I just had to realize that the registry has been corrupted and did a complete reinstall of windows 8.1. It solved my problem.
