Why Microsoft has this policy for deactivation of 90 days in place?

So, I catch me on the terms of service of my mail yesterday, and he said that Microsoft has the right to deactivate my account if it is not used for more than 90 days at the most. This alarm really me, because even if I connect you regularly I always wonder: ' what happens if I'm ever in a situation where I do not have access to a computer or the internet for more than 90 days? The thought had crossed my mind and I'm sure that people can have this situation, even if it's not likely.

And what will happen to all the accounts linked to my ID?

That really troubled me since I read it, so I just thought that I would like to express my opinion and also ask why it is like that. (P.S. I'm kind of really new on these forums, and I'm really sorry if it does not belong here, but I think it does.)
I also searched it and found nothing, and when I try to refine my search, I see that it is not a bar live windows upstairs.
