  Given that the latest Microsoft security patches have been downloaded in mid-December, Money 2007 crashed everytime I tried to download from my bank accounts .qif files.  I know that Microsoft can't stand money 2007, but this is absurd.  Is it possible to work around this problem, other than to return to a prior restore point the last group of security patches?  I did it twice now and download correctly, bank files so I am convinced that security patches are the problem.  Thank you for all that you can recommend is lighter, or an update of your security download that resolves this problem.

• Win XP crashes after the splash screen (charge PointSec)

  I have a laptop lenovo t400, which has Pointsec Encryption (6.1.3), and WinXP loaded thereon.

  I ran the update tool think that Vantage Lenovo that has downloaded and installed a number of updates - I didn't run it for centuries.

  Now when I try to start the computer it crashes after the XP splash screen is displayed. Simply, the screen goes black.

  I tried the options Mode safe (include VGA Mode and start with the last successful configuration) without success. Also, they fail to start.

  The flow rate is:

  Power On, screen authentication PointSec, Win XP Splash screen, and then a black screen

  I got successfully into the system using UBCD4Win with pointsec plugin loaded, load a WinPE environment on a USB and allows me to access the C: drive unencrypted (as I've authenticated with Pointsec).

  I'm really stuck for ideas as to the update is the cause of the problem and I'd love to hear some suggestions on how to remedy this situation.

  The last lines in ntbtlog.txt is:

  Not load the parallel driver live

  Did not load driver bios SM service

  Did not load driver SM bus service

  Loaded driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\Cdfs.SYS

  Looks like that Service Pack 3 has been installed:

  Fixed!

  The problem has been updates to lenovo (probably guilty being the video driver that I presume).

  Using UBCD4Win with pointsec plugin I was able

  * Access to the decrypted c:

  * Restored manually updates to c:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\system32\drivers

  Original files have been found in places like: c:\windows\system32\reinstallbackups\008\DriverFiles

  * Finally, I had to roll back updates of the register who did the updates. UBCD4Win offers a tool to do this: the registry Restore Wizard. He basically just look in c:\System Volume Information System Restore directory and lists all the Restore Points available (Fortunately the Lenovo updates mark a restore point until they run). You can also do it manually using the following instructions:

  This makes the system successfully booted.

  I've most definitely will be staying clear after you press the big blue button in the future. It was a nightmare to fix.

• sqldeveloper - 4.0.3.16.84 - x 64 crashes after the splash screen

  I had successfully used my installation of sqldeveloper - 4.0.3.16.84 - x 64 last week. After an update to windows 7 enterprise SP1 crashes after the splash screen and about 10% of the progress bar, until the message saying it is saving the extensions. There is no error or other messages of information displayed. I tried to run from a command window produces no additional information. I deleted the sqldeveloper folder and downloaded a zip file and reinstalled. Same behavior.

  

  The Data Modeler works very well.

  Any suggestions on how to do this problem.

  If the problem is not with the installation of SQL Developer (which you have unpacked in an empty directory) or find the JDK or having a JDK version that is inappropriate, you should then see if your user settings has been corrupted or (maybe) is somehow became less accessible than before the update of Windows 7 SP1.  These settings can be found under C: \Users\-Appdata\Roaming\SQL Developer\system4.0.3.16.84.

  
  

  Here is a compilation of a few standard tips offered several times before on this forum for this kind of situation:

  1 see if behavior persists after the removal of the settings and restart SQL Developer without migrating settings.

  (Be sure to make a backup (export) of your connections first!)

  2. see if (assuming that (1) does not help) allows to reinstall SQL Developer.

  If the fault cannot be placed on a migration of settings / download / installation corrupt, then we can start to consider...

  3. possible problΦmes with older JDK.

  4 OutOfMemory possible problΦmes that may be hidden by running only no Developer SQL from a command line console.

  5. a new bug.

  So try (1) and (2) If you have not already.  Ignore (3) If you are already using jdk7_u51 or later and are not on a Mac.  Point (4) can be a problem if you have many windows to restore and did not mount the Xmx values in the file product.conf - especially if you use a 64 bit JDK.  And (5), if you have the urge, see...

  And if you want to try (1) in a clean 'sandbox' unaffected by existing directories of user settings, you can always add one

  It seems to work after a reboot and a new attempt to update norton.   First, it froze.   I connect this because I heard that several win 7 64B machines at work had to be restored on 1/12 after a bad update.  I don't know if they also had norton.

When I rebooted and you press F5, it offers 3 options 'Security Mode', but no return explicitly beforehand updated status.

  I'm not familiar with uninstalling and restoring systems. Can you walk me through the process? Can I uninstall or restore when the computer is in mode security (limited capacity)? How a WAIK/Windows PE image downloaded to another computer to help me with the computer that is out?

• Halo 2 crashes after the level "Gravemind".

  Halo 2 still crashes after the cutscene at the end of the level "The Gravemind".  The game acts like it's loading to the next level with the logo of Halo 2 and the vertical lighting of back and forth set.

  I suggest you perform the clean boot which disable the application non-Microsoft temporarily in conflict with programs. It helps us find what third-party application or service is causing the problem.   I did the research found the file, deleted it, open Dreamweaver CS3, chose the same text - and it crashed as before.

  THEN I REBOOTED and tried again - no. CRASH. So it seems that a reboot is an essential part of the correction.

  BTW: My situation exactly match the description of the Technote. (1) the accident occurred when selecting - in design view or code - some text in a HTML context involved in the code ColdFusion; (2) I had no problem with these files before DST ended; (3) even after I've not had any problems with them in Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 on another machine - the problem is that the CS3.

  So the TechNote is correct as it will, but should be changed as follows:

  (1) ColdFusion should be included in the types of code that can be associated with the problem.
  2) instead of delete the WinFileCache - AD76BB20.dat, you should delete the WinFileCache-[any] .dat.
  (3) a reboot after the removal may be required.

  Anyway, problem solved.

  I've updated my CC to the latest version today. I use the latest edition of the Mavericks on a MacBook Pro system.

  After the update the encoder crashes whenever I want to start rendering (I am pressing the green play button)

  I reinstalled the encoder and restarted the computer. Does not work.

  It gives me an error message saying: it is pas.../.../.../Presets

  Just heard on a solution. Please navigate to the file in the error message (it must be /users/%username%/Documents/Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/8.0/Presets) and temporarily move presets in this folder to a new location. Then, delete the presets folder. Launch the SOUL to let it recreate the folder. Close the SOUL. Now, you can replace the predefined settings and SOUL should work as expected.

  Please let me know if this does not work.

• Taste Pro CS6 crashes after the PC wakes up from sleep / 2nd monitor blocked by preview

  When I'm working on a project in v6.0.5 PremierePro CS6 and put my PC to sleep, first plant almost whenever I start Windows again. There is no error number or anything, just a window saying that PP does not work and I don't have the option to close PP. I have essentially leave the first every time and load the project again when I continue to work on it, which can take a long time if it is a long-term project.

  

  This also occurs with another PC I might test it work on. What is happening since the very first version of PP CS6. I had the chance to test CS5.5 PP on this issue and it was not a problem their.

  I have already submitted this bug long enough, but all updates do not resolve this problem.

  There is also another bug, I noticed on the second preview screen in PP CS6, who is also not getting treated for some time.

  When you use a configuration double monitor preview full screen on the second monitor does not minimize if I reduce PP by clicking on the icon of the PP in the taksbar. If I use the button cut in the window (top-right) PP Preview on the second monitor rest in the background as it should. Also if PP is reduced and I'm working with another application (read a PDF file or surfing the web, fo example) PP full preview screen appears after a while on its own and blocks the second monitor.   Good news: I discovered that the crash of the CS6 PP after hibernation had something to do with my card nVidia (Quadro 1000 M) and if I disabled the Aero feature in Windows 7 while sill using the Quadro 1000 M the crash had disappeared. Then I also had for some reason, an error after PP crashed with Aero enabled saying that he had a problem with nvoglv64. DLL and OpenGL. So I searched the web but have not found a solution that works for me. (Updated all the drivers, products Windows and Adobe did not help)
  Then, I played around with the preferences of the nVidia card and found a framework that solved the crash while Aero still listening on.
