Why my bubbles screensaver so fast?

Why my bubbles screensaver so fast?    OS is Vista Home Premium 32-bit with sp2.  After the screen saver has been for a time is just speeds reaching almost a blur.  Hope you can help.  Thank you

Hello JoyceBud,

·         This happens after the strong activity on the computer or periodically?

I suggest to create a new Standard user account and check.

Create a user account

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

If the problem does not persist in the new user account, it could indicate that your old user account is corrupted.

The below mentioned link and follow the steps to repair the corrupted user profile:

Difficulty of a corrupted user profile

  • Why is the 'UNION' statement faster than 'OR' sometimes?

Many articles say that the 'UNION' statement can make the SQL statement run faster than "GOLD" awhile. However, why is the 'UNION' statement faster than 'OR' some time? Why does CBO sometimes choose 'UNION', not 'GOLD'.

    Hello

If you have a select statement like this

    Select * from my_table where col1 like "something %' or col2 like '% else';"

and there is an index on col1 and an index on col2. It may be a good idea to chosse a union. This is just an example.

  • bubbles screensaver refuses to change or be removed?

    Hello

Go to settings of screen saver control--> lower panel down which gives me options to switch between the screen savers is grayed out and cannot be clicked... so I'm stuck with bubbles and I really don't like... I want to remove the bubbles... Infact I don't want all the screensaver and I don't seem to be able to do... Help, please!

I have problems with my PC freezing at the start of my SS bubbles.  I can't change the settings, and everytime I try, my PC freezes.   I tried your suggestion but when I open the "Windows" folder, there is a folder "Office".

I am at a loss and begging to become very bored with this problem. I run Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. If there is anything you can do to help, I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you

JamesMcElyea, this may or may not help your post was a while ago, but maybe it will help someone else or can point you in the right direction since I am on Windows 7.  These are the instructions how to disable the screen saver

    Beginning

    Control Panel

    Appearance & personalization

    Customization

    Change screen saver

    Screen saver drop-down arrow

    Choose "none".

    Hit apply and ok

    or the quickest way:

    Click Start

    Type "Screensaver".

    Change screen saver

Then continue with the instructions in bold above.

    Hope this helps someone

  • My bubbles screensaver lights. I am running Windows 7, IE8.

I put it in the customization area by right clicking on the desktop and I also install success after spotting "Bubbles" in the search box. It appears in the personalization box when it appears and it will even preview on my monitor, but it never starts on the screen.

Thank you for your patience and your help, Bruce. "-)

It turned out to be a very simple solution that I found on this link. ~

    http://www.ehow.com/how_5981898_troubleshoot-Windows-screensaver-won_t-start.html

It's as simple as my wireless mouse. I removed it and boom, it worked!

  • Bubbles screensaver has black background

    Separated from this thread.

I understand the answer, but what I don't understand is why this happened when I moved my desktop from my desktop computer to my home. In my workplace, the bubbles on my photos of ancient Egyptian statues and places. So, I always saw my work office.  At home when the screen saver is turned on the background is blue and white. Any suggestions?

    Hello

    Thank you for the update.

For diagnostic purposes, I suggest you save an image on the desktop and then set this picture as a screen saver. If the problem is not persists, I suggest that you change the location of the image (s) you want to save as screen saver.

    I hope this works.

  • Why the optimizer ignores Index Fast full Scan when much lower cost?

Summary (tracking details below) - to improve the performance of a query on more than one table, I created an index on a table that included all the columns referenced in the query. With the new index in place the optimizer is still choosing a full Table Scan on an Index fast full scan. However, by removing the one query tables I reach the point where the optimizer suddenly use the Index Fast Full Scan on this table. And 'Yes', it's a lot cheaper than the full Table Scan it used before. By getting a test case, I was able to get the motion down to 4 tables with the optimizer still ignoring the index and table of 3, it will use the index.

So why the optimizer not chooses the Index Fast Full Scan, if it is obvious that it is so much cheaper than a full Table Scan? And why the deletion of a table changes how the optimizer - I don't think that there is a problem with the number of join permutations (see below). The application is so simple that I can do, while remaining true to the original SQL application, and it still shows this reversal in the choice of access path. I can run the queries one after another, and he always uses a full Table Scan for the original query and Index fast full scan for the query that is modified with a table less.

Watching trace 10053 output for the two motions, I can see that for the original query 4 table costs alone way of ACCESS of TABLE UNIQUE section a full Table Scan. But for the modified query with a table less, the table now has a cost for an Index fast full scan also. And the end of the join cost 10053 does not end with a message about exceeding the maximum number of permutations. So why the optimizer does not cost the IFFS for the first query, when it does for the second, nearly identical query?

This is potentially a problem to do with OUTER joins, but why? The joins between the tables do not change when the single extra table is deleted.

It's on 10.2.0.5 on Linux (Oracle Enterprise Linux). I did not define special settings I know. I see the same behavior on 10.2.0.4 32-bit on Windows (XP).

    Thank you

    DETAILS
I've reproduced the entire scenario via SQL scripts to create and populate the tables against which I can then run the queries. I've deliberately padded table so that the length of the average line of data generated is similar to that of the actual data. In this way the statistics should be similar on the number of blocks and so forth.

I mentioned that it is a bug related to the ANSI SQL standard and transformation probably.

As suggested/asked in my first reply:
    1. If you use a no_query_transformation then you should find that you get the use of the index (although not in the plan you would expect)
    2. If you use the traditional Oracle syntax, then you should not have the same problem.

  • Why the videos play too fast and with no sound?

I tried the update of flash player and that has not worked. All the other audio seems to work very well. Problem is when I try to video streams from youtube etc the video plays in fast speed and there is no audio data

Since Youtube uses flash player for videos, completely uninstall Flash, then reinstall the latest version and see if the problem persists:

  • Why is my cpu running fast when starting windows in safe mode?

I am running windows xp sp3 when I start my computer in safe mode, which looks like it is about to spin out of control. Does anyone know why this is?

So if I understand correctly, you do not have this problem if you start normally in Windows; It's only when you play online or when you start in safe mode?

Most likely your disk defragment tool automatically runs it to scan your drive manually, it said: it is not necessary.
When you say that the noise that's going to turn out of control are you sure it's the hard drive that you hear? Did you open your computer case to check?
Usually you can hear only the hard disks if they are read or write and it sounds more like a sound of scratching sound of spinning. Most of the modern hard disks is inaudible and is very hard to hear.
What is strange, is that you say that is happening in mode safe, but don't not after booting normally. In most cases, it is the opposite where it happens normally, but not in safe mode.
If all goes well, after further clarification, I have more ideas.
  • Why is my screensaver jumpy or unstable

When my screensaver is activated, it is very nervous or unstable.

How to ask the right questions http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375              http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprohardware/thread/0932b2ed-15d2-401f-bd02-f6b25f6ca681

It's probably a problem of material or video driver.

  • Why is no longer a faster network between two different hosts?

    Hello community!

I need help in this mystery.

I have three computers different virtual, all of them with e1000 (also I tried all VMs with vmxnet3) and the latest vmware tools.

Two of this mV, are in the same physical host (ESXi 5.5.0 2068190). Call for example: VM - 1A & VM - 2A

Another virtual machine, is in another physical host (ESXi 5.5.0 2068190). Call VM-1 b

Both ESXi hosts are connected with two cards 10 Gbit network with load Balancing: "From hash IP route" and detection: "link status only.

Traffic Shaping is disabled in all Ports.

The environment is very clean, and we have more VMs that can disrupt the test (or inappreciable).

    VM - 1a: 10.12.50.201 - physical host ESX - A

    VM - 2A: 10.12.50.202 - physical host ESX - A

    VM-1 b: 10.12.50.200 - physical host ESX - B

Why I don't see better network speed reference, when two virtual machines send something two physical host is different than when the two virtual machines are in the same physical host?

It is not a question of "iperf", I used the other test with CPS and I had the same speed.

    Thank you very much!!!

PS: The physical host computers are: Dell PowerEdge r.620 - 16-core Xeon - 384GB RAM

Have you tried to move your VM on different hosts to the same host?

    Your names of:

    VM - 1 a host has

    -VM-1 b on Hots B

    ToDo

Now move VM-1B for A Host and repeat the test (two virtual machines on the same host). What happens now to the speed?

    Check

-How is the CPU usage during the test we Host-A, if you have 2 virtual machines on this host?

-What is your ratio of P2V CPU? (overprovisioning?)

    What it could be

-Host doesn't have enough CPU power to serve the two virtual machines (or over-provision P2V related problem). But for me no sense if I see your config server with 16cores.

-It is not a host but a related problem of VM (perhaps it depends on the VM - A2). Makes the most sense for me (your test is to check)

    Please share the results

  • Why preview RAM 2 x faster on Macbook Pro vs. desktop PC?

    Hi all

I RAM Preview a few seconds of a project AE CS6 on a desktop PC, I recently had to measure and was distraught discover he was twice as slow that view the exact clip on my Macbook Pro. The project involves simple 3D camera movements. Why would this be so, and can I change my PC settings to get more out of it? I would appreciate greatly any comments I can get... I'm still new to the world of Adobe and even newer to the configuration of the computer. Thank you!

    Desktop PC

    16 GB RAM DDR3

    Intel Core i7 - 4770K Haswell 3.5 GHz

    Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z87

    GTX770 2GD5 video card

Samsung 840 EVO SSD/1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    MacBook Pro (August 2012)

    8 GB RAM DDR3

    2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB

    OS X 10.9.1

    AE for PC Configuration:

The size of the disk cache Max: 10 GB

11/16 gb RAM for other applications

    4/8 processors for other applications

2 GB RAM background CPU allocation

made of several images at the same time is checked

    Configuration of EI for MBP:

The size of the disk cache Max: 10 GB

4/8 GB of RAM reserved for other applications

    4/8 processors for other applications

Allocation of RAM of 1 GB per background CPU

made of several images at the same time is checked

    Thank you!!

First comment: you attach a lot of RAM for external applications.

On the PC, you allocate 2 GB of RAM per CPU and 4 CPUs, but you're only allocate 5 GB of total RAM for After Effects.  It does not match.  Allow at least 8 GB of RAM for AE, but preferably more.  I might try your PC to 12 GB for AE (4 GB for external applications) and see what happens. I'd probably also 6/8 CPU cores.

  • I use Firefox. My MacBook Pro is quite low on space. I have been informed that Chrome is a 'light' browser, why my Mac can run faster with real Chrome?

I'm trying unload applications that I didn't need and moving video/pix files to other locations of storage

Note that Firefox has also a few hundred MB for two locations of the Firefox profile folder (disk cache and the main folder and other data as to the function of safe and thumbnail navigation).

You can choose to replace the automatic cache and defined management as the lower maximum rate.

    • Firefox > Preferences > advanced > network > Web content caching
