Why my computer just turn off suddenly while I use it?

Please help me understand my problem

The most frequent causes for this are overheating and bad RAM, although I've seen some buggy programs that can do this as well.  If you have a laptop running on battery, low battery can cause this as well.

To check the warm-ups, download the freeware 'CoreTemp' software and run it to control the temperature of your CPU.  If it becomes too hot, check for dust inside the chassis or a fan does not work.

    Hello

It is usually a symptom of a faulty motherboard. Try to do a power drain follow these steps:

    1. Unplug the adapter sector and battery
    2. Press and hold the button for 30 seconds
    3. Reconnect everything and try to power on

If the problem persists, the motherboard should be replaced. You can contact Technical Support to check out-of-warranty replacement options.

  • My Satellite L50 - A - 16 Q turns off suddenly while on battery

    Hello guys and girls,

I have a problem for some time that I don't really know how to solve.
    In November 2013, I bought in Poland, where I live, a nice TOSHIBA SATELLITE L50 - A Q - 16 (PSKJNE).
On this computer, even if something is constantly causing me problems: * very often the power stops so that all of a sudden on battery *, even if the 'TOSHIBA PC health monitor' app that monitors the temperature of the processor, also shows no sign of criticality.

However, there is something going wrong: thanks to this software, I noticed that whenever I unplug the charger, the fan speed is zero, apparently put the endangered cooling system. And I know in the manual that if the temperature of the processor reached a critical threshold, the system stops automatically.

Anyway is to solve the problem to not stop suddenly, making me lose data then on the battery?
Maybe turn on the speed of the fan, somehow, so that this mode?

Thanks to everyone for your contribution, in advance.

    Kind regards

    Matteo

If you unplug the AC adapter, the system will pass the plant (it depends on the configuration of power plan). Check the Windows power plan settings to see what configuration will be used in battery mode.

This power plan can be configured and all the settings are located in the advanced power settings.
I recommend you to check the mode of cooling and if necessary to use the same settings that are used in the power management when the laptop is connected to the power supply.

  • Why windows xp just turned off and then just restarts, repeatedly?

Help, please! No apparent reason my pc under xp, everything stops and restarts. WHY?

There could be several reasons.  Assuming that when she stops seems to be totally random and not caused by a particular program, the most likely cause is overheating.  Download and run ' CoreTemp"which will display your CPU temperature.»  You will see if it's not too hot.  If it turns out that you have a temperature problem, the two most common causes are a CPU fan that has stopped work and excessive dust inside the machine that coats the components and inhibits cooling.   Open your file and get. / clean the dust bunnies.

Other causes include bad RAM.  While you are there, replace the RAM modules.

  • Satellite A75-5211 just turns off

Hi, I had this problem in the past once and he's back now. My computer is a Satellite A75-5211. When I play any game on it (like MVP Baseball 2005), at some point the computer just turns off without any warning. It's as if all the power is just part of him! I can start again, and then everything is normal.

In the past, the problem disappeared for a few months, but it happens regularly now. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Also, I use the program hardware sensors monitor 4.2 and it tells me that my CPU1 temperature is 60.0 ° c, while the temperature of the HARD drive is 37.0

If this problem cannot be solved by a technician in person, where is the nearest place that I can go? I live in Canterbury, UK.
    Thank you
    Sebastian

To me, this looks also because of overheating.
This probably occurs because the game is a heavy application that requires complete laptop. In this case the CPU and graphics card produce a lot of heat, and therefore the temperature rises to a higher level.
Then the operating system shut down the laptop to prevent damage.

As mentioned you should check the fans and cooling modules and possibly try to clean with the vacuum cleaner. In addition, there should be enough free space around the laptop to the circulation air properly.

  • My DELL turns off suddenly without any Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)

    Hi people,

My pc is a DELL VOSTRO 2521. It has two graphics cards: 4000 Intel and ATI AMD Radeon HD M 7576.
The problem occurs for the first time about a month ago, my computer just turns off by itself all of a sudden without any BSOD, and there is no error report after I start the pc.
First of all, I thought that it's my battery that moves sometimes, so I thought it's my HARD drive, then I thought that it's my hdmi/connection port, then I thought that it's my usb ports, then finally I don't know exactly what is causing this problem. I do some Checkup using DELL PC Checkup, no problem found.

Please I need help, this is an embarrassing problem.

    Thanks in advance!

    NO.

Your key will not work.  If you got it from DELL that they need to replace it.  If you don't have a Dell, you must purchase a valid license.

  • HP Pavilion notebook15-ab035ax: computer HP Pavilion 15 laptop turns off suddenly on low battery

I bought my hp laptop Pavilion in India. Now, I live in England. For the last month or two, I have problems with my laptop. Whenever the laptop is on battery power, it does very quickly. It randomly stops (no stops, just turned off with a gut wrenching tinkling of the hard drive) at any time under load of 50%. no notification of low battery or go into hibernation. It can happen in the middle of typing a sentence or you to browse.

I ran the diagnostic. Software battery check HP first showed a result of "low battery." I was about to order a new battery, when I ran the software once again, who now says "main battery OK.

It's very confusing, because even if we agree that the battery has developed a problem, I do not understand why the system is not detect low battery or putting the computer to Hibernate, depending on settings. I checked the drivers - updated.

The laptop is just a year and 3-4 months.

Should I replace the battery? Or is it a software error in the new upgrade of windows 10?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • 2-3 days after the expiry of my warranty of one year, my computer turns off suddenly during use. I rebooted, but it stopped again.

2-3 days after the expiry of my warranty of one year, my computer turns off suddenly during use.  I rebooted, but it stopped again.

The model is that the computer runs for 15-30 minutes, then suddenly stops, the system reboots, runs for 2-3 minutes, stops, restarts, spans less than a minute, stops, restarts, stop after a few seconds, etc., and at that time there I give until the next day when I repeat the same cycle all over.    I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit and it is a model of Dell Inspiron 518.  There is no error message but a beep at startup upward.  I ran Windows repair program 'Start' who did a restore without success.  The problem occurs even in Safe Mode.

Does anyone have a guess as to what is the diagnosis?  Thank you.

    Hello

just while I do things randomly on my laptop, it just turns off. And it's not like when I press 'Shut Off' on the start menu, it stops completely, and the screen goes black.

The PC itself is not overheated or anything in this case.

I am very concerned, does anyone know how to do? In this case, thank you very much.

    Hello

You must understand that no one here can say with certainty why this happens, and if this happens continuously, you must contact the nearest service provider and ask for help.
They check your laptop. The warranty is valid, and if something needs to be done it will be done for free.

Added 2 GB of memory to my Windows Vista program, also added an external hardrive, the idea was to keep the free memory on the computer and use the 2 TB external hardrive to store files IE. music, photos and documents etc everything was beautiful then all of a sudden I woke up one morning and my computer was turned off, I checked and tried everything but he wouldn't come, crashed my computer, and if so can it be saved and how do I do this?

    Hello LisaBrookes525

    Thank you for your comments.

Just before you cart the machine to a technician try to change the fuse in the plug on the main power cable to the PC. Your machine is completely dead it may be something as simple as a fuse.

Another option could be the PSU (Power Supply Unit) inside the PC
