  Before you start

  Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS.  The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.

  Alternative installation methods

  With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system.  These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system.  If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless.  Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest.  There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any.  You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.

  As its been almost a year that it is updated, you may be better off to backup your data and backup of your entire system, so you can get back to this point at least if something goes wrong. Then:

  Update your anti-virus software and run a full scan. Then download, install, update and run a full scan with Malwarebytesfree. Keep it free, no need to start a trial etc. Malware can be a cause of failure of the updates, the scan won't take long to run and should report something nasty, if its there.

  If you do not want to reinstall again, post back with more details, that is at least what is the error code when the updates fail? In any case, when I'm trying to set up the connection to hotsync option so I can sync my outlook with the treo, connections in hotsync does not list bluetooth as an option.  I read that it will only show if the material has bluetooth.  Again, I have no bluetooth and it works very well with the treo when I put up as a modem for a wireless connection.  Any thoughts why hotsync is absent from the bluetooth connection option?  It is defined as discovereable as well.

  At this point, the only thing left that I could suggest is to buy a bluetooth USB dongle and see if it will work. When you install the dongle, do not use the cd to install the drivers, let Windows install the drivers. It sounds like this is similar to what we were looking for with the Toshiba Bluetooth radio but the dongle uses a different radio and they worked for Bluetooth hotsync on other 64 bit Vista systems.

  Hi all

  I have two issues which I believe are related. It miss me probably a simple step somewhere, since I can't find this issue covered in the forum or help.

  We have just upgraded to RH7 to RH9. When I build a project to test, the CSS was fate not (it was connected properly in the topics of the project, but he was not released when the WebHelp has been generated). Trying to open the CSS file directly led to a 404 error.

  I was able to solve that by checking the "Apply to all" button and selecting the CSS file we use (see image). However, none of our lists - ordered and unordered - are properly formatted. The font and size of numbered lists is incorrect, lists all nested lists display with numbers, even if they are not ordained and autonomous bulleted lists use evenly filled as circles dig balls, where previously they used the small squares, circles, or a picture of triangle. The CSS is called correctly in the subject, lists are formatted to use the styles and the styles are in the style sheet, so I do not know what causes this problem. So far, I have not noticed any other styles does not, but those are the ones that stand out.

  

  The other problem is with the images. This problem appears in both our WebHelp generated and in the printed documentation. The images are not output.   So you can see the CSS in the project manager and it works very well in the design editor but does not every time that you build for. Can you just build or generate and publish? You use Windows Explorer to check the CSS in both places?

  How do you get a 404 error? This happens when you click on a link where the target does not exist. Normally you would use Windows Explorer to locate the CSS.
