Why my opaque images identically colored printing different colors? Is it a question of transparency
I have an object which is a simple white logo with a gray background - the file is a flattened psd file and has only one layer.
When I place the logo in InDesign (CS5) on a light gray background (the same color as in the logo) and print this simple combination, the gray background on the logo is a funny color compared to that on the background of the document. they have the same exact RGB reference! they appear only different colors during printing. on the screen, they look great.
I thought it was a problem with transparency and tried to play with having a transparent logo with no background and different parameters of the out transparancy but nothings solved the problem. the only thing that I managed to achieve was to do all that one color gray, but the gray color funny that I just saw in the background of the logo!
When I go to the output window and control the Flattener Preview, I can see that I don't have transparent objects whether in my document.
any help on this would be greatly appreciated - its driving me MAD!
Thank you
Becky
It looks like you use a Pantone Spot color for the background and a mix of RGB for the logo. They will never match. Unless you use a special channel tones in Photoshop you are simply obtain a simulation of Pantone color in the current workspace.
Is there a compelling reason to have made the logo in Photoshop instead of Illustrator? Tasks are easier to deal with at Illy, and you won't get the raster/vector disconnect during printing. In all cases, except if this is intended to be printed with real inks of tones on a printing press, there is no good reason to specify a spot color.

Why my background image color changes when I place an image?
Hello world
I would like to make a presentation in InDesign. I put a background image in another layer that I called 'Background' and then I create a new layer that I called 'Images' and place an image with a layer of transparency. When I put this image on the image of the Images layer color in background layer changes. I can't understand why it changes color. I would be grateful to anyone who can help me solve this problem?

Edit > merger of transparencies... space and set on corresponds to the color of the background image mode.

Should images in Bridge are different from each other? sRGB vs ARGB vs ProPhoto?
I am looking for some clarification on this because I'm at a standstill and going bonkers. First of all, it's a long story how I got here, but to shorten, I had to buy a new screen, my old one crapped out. I bought a screen wide range NEC and then need a new graphics card so bought a new HP workstation and then because of the external drive connection problems had to reluctantly upgrade to windows 8.1. So I'm not sure where the conflict lies from the new to the foregoing.
My old set up worked fine, I managed ARGB color. Prints from my printer and laboratories corresponding Photo on my monitor calibrated. I sold a lot of pictures and everything was good. I've always used Bridge and PS, I found import into Lightroom bulky... .so it has not been used much.
Now, I love Lightroom, but all my images are not importing, so I always use with bridge for display. I like to see images in Bridge for comparison and approval.
My dilemma is here... Many of my images look different in Bridge and change before my eyes, never had that happen before. Sometimes images differently Tags are sometimes similar, they are different and they change. Why not compatible? and what if they look like? For example, to be clear. I have 2 different images and each of them is duplicated and labeled in each color space. sRGb, ProPhoto and ARGB. A single image they all look the same, the other images, they all look different. Why?
If I change the settings of ARGB color for general use they will not always vary all over and over again. I have conflicts somewhere... but it cannot narrow down.
My goal would be to bridge to show me pictures sRGB as tagged tagged ARGB and sRGB images to resemble ARGB and Pro Photo images to look like pictures of ProP. It is naïve to me who?
The first thing you need to know about the bridge, it is that it stores all the previews JPEG sRGB, regardless of the original color of the file space. IOW they should all be the same under any circumstances.
However, the preview properly on screen rendering often takes a bit of time. Usually there is a brief initial moment where you see the file without color management, before bridge has the time to convert the preview in the monitor profile.
It should quickly snap into the correct view. But sometimes it hangs and stays in the State 'without color managed", on the one hand, several or all the previews. When this happens, the quick solution is to right-click and 'Purging the Cache for Selection'. It will then refresh correctly.
You haven't noticed this with the standard range, old screen - it would have been anyway sRGB to sRGB (ish). But with a range wide screen, it becomes obviously oversaturated.
Changing the color settings makes no difference. Profile embedded which - replace and like I said the bridge previews are sRGB in all cases.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 Question adding Image to the printed Page
Hello
My images (more often. TIFF - but .jpg and .png) 'fade' through the pages of old that I print on. I pull the image in Photoshop and have tried all kinds of variations (compared to my help of Photoshop and Photoshop books) and then I print the images on the pages of old books. He has also done this with color images that I scanned in. How I do my non-transparent image on the page of the book? I have attached a sample of what's going on. Also the image before I add it to the page of the book. I don't know that I just need to do something simple. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Jaci
If you use a standard inkjet or LaserJet printer this problem still occurs. You have to look in screen printing, if you want your image of the clown to appear as if he's sitting on top the text rather than the text of bleeding through it. Silkscreen, although not in all cases, can use ink opaque (it's like paint, but it's called ink).

I want to save my e-mail and archives. I intend to put them in my folder "Documents" for backup of 'Cloud' and also in an external hard drive that I have always used in the past and, as a child of 76 with a new computer, 8.1 instead of XP and TB instead of Outlook Express, that I feel more confident on my external hard drive! I have 31 TB and Windows 8.1. I put my computer to show the "hidden files and folders". In user/AppData/Local name there is a record of TB with 'Profiles' and there my XXXX.default folder - but it has only a limited number of files and folders (Cache/cache2...). In user/AppData/Roaming name, there is also a TB with 'Profiles' folder and there my XXXX.default folder- but it contains a completely different and much larger files and Folders collection (4 different folders and multiple files MAB and SQLITE and others). Why have I not two files with different content identical default? Do I have to register each one? Can someone please explain/help, preferably in words this 76 year-old could understand.
Windows 8 user accounts can be local or remote. It assumes that everyone has a roaming profile. Thunderbird uses mobile records as you can see, but there is only the rump in local that I don't really understand the existence of.
Thunderbird does not use it, I guess that windows creates.

Why am I not able to print pictures after having previewed in photo WIndows Media Viewer
Why am I not able to print pictures after having previewed in photo Windows Media Viewer
It is a Windows XP forum... you are using WIndows XP?
I don't know what you call Windows Media Photo Viewer.
In Windows XP's default Photo Viewer is Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer... and it has options of printing photos.Try right click on a thumbnail of the photo or the name of the file and see if you
can choose... Open with / Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
The print icon located at the bottom of the screen...In addition, when you have a photo displayed in the Windows image and
Fax Viewer... you can type... CTRL + P to print the Photo
Assistant. Also, if you right click on a photo thumbnail or file name of the menu
should include a print option. -
Printing pictures, is possible to print different pictures on one page at the same time?
When you print pictures, is it possible to print different pictures on one page at the same time? If this is not the case, the photo paper is lost because you can't get your full 4 prints if you do individually. There is a similar question on the change of the position of the image, that might work. However, the answer is not helpful at all.
The following steps may be worth a try:In Windows Live Photo Gallery... Hold your Ctrl key
and left click / Select the four pix you want to print...In your toolbar left click... Print... Print / Next...
Now you should see the selection of the photo screen
the photo printing wizard with the 4 pix selected.Left click... ... Left click... "Print options".
and choose the Type of paper and quality parameters.Left click... Next... now you should be on the layout
Screen. Scroll and select... 3.5 x 5 cut
prints cropped and rotation to fit.The 4 different pix should appear on the print template.
Click next and your pix should start printing.

Key shortcut (or batch) Image->; Auto color - and - save in the same format
I scanned a lot of old photos in color, positive.
FWIW, I scanned the sRGB in the scanner software settings.
24-bit color, 600 dpi resolution
Images are not professional, just for screen viewing.
Probably not, but if... or even not at all printing is required, it will be 4 "x 6" (10x15cm)
The scanned images are somewhere between 5-6MB (still intact)
Almost all have this yellow and even slightly red color change.
Found the Image-> Auto color restores the color well.
Nothing more useless.
For now, I need to
1. open one by one,
2 then image-> Lee,
3. save,
4. Select JPG (it is set by default to .psd).
5 crush the source.
Q: is it possible by using a keyboard shortcut?
If so, how can I proceed?(I'm not an expert on this topic, sorry)
Don't talk about 375 to 400 images.
Photoshop CS6.
First of all, I will copy them all to a new '-working folder ", to keep the original scan yet.
Then:
Open - say - a half dozen
Select 1,
shortcut key
Select the 2nd
shortcut key
Select the 3rd
etc.
(I want to see the results before closing)
Thank you!

Are the original scan JPEG files?
The files must be of the same file format to crush.
Anyway, you can record an action with a stop/continue after the step of automatic color.
Then use file > batch automate to open, run the action and save the files.
Something like below:

Greg,
Claes has pretty much nailed. You will do well to spend time to learn how Lightroom works. He is not like most software that you've used before, and if you don't understand what it does and how it does, you stand a good chance of losing your images.
Try googling 'Lightroom tutorials' or 'get started in Lightroom. It's not rocket science, but it's different.

Greetings!
Create a custom DVD of Windows 7 with pre installed office 2010, applications, drivers, updates and custom in GPEdit settings.
Used Windows 7 DVD, downloaded from the Internet and installed all the software and then sysprep for oobe.
Captured by using ImageX, install.wim custom size is almost 6.7 GB.Replaced the custom with the original install.wim file and the error message:
"The product key entered don't match any available to install Windows images. Enter a different product key.
This error message appears after pressing the button "install now".On that note, I removed file ei.cfg of Windows 7 ISO, now I get that says - could not locate the image
Any suggestions would be acceptable.
