• I have problems with Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Windows 7 32-bit Professiol.

  When I open an image of the bridge, the photoshop Panel is locked on one side of the screen.  The onle way I can get out of it is CTRL, alt, delete.  The problem persists.  I tried to uninstall Adobe and reinstall with no luck.  I called Adobe and they think that there is a problem with the security system in Windows.  Help, please.

  This could be attributed to several factors such as conflicts between device drivers, applications, settings of operating system, hardware, and corrupt elements in specific files.

  Basic troubleshooting
  
  1. make sure that the computer meets the minimum requirements for Photoshop.
  2. install all Windows updates. .
  3 re-create the Photoshop preferences file.

  Re-create the Photoshop preferences file to eliminate problems that may cause a damaged Preferences file.

  To re-create the Photoshop preferences files:

  1. quit Photoshop.
  2. rename the \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp directory Users\ [username] Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.old.
  3 launch Photoshop. Photoshop creates a new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.
  If the problem persists, the Photoshop preferences files aren't the cause. To restore custom settings, quit Photoshop, and then delete the new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file and restore the original name of the previous Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.

  Dear representative of Adobe,

  I'm going to buy a new PC and I would like to re - install my version of Adobe Photoshop CS4 in my new computer. According to a friend, Adobe does not support older versions of their software and the older products such as CS4 have security vulnerabilities.  He advised me to go to the subscription model to be fully supported, or consider that it is a very good free program GIMP.  I am completely satisfied of the Adobe CS4 and I'm not interested in Update for the software based on a cloud that we must renew annually. Also, I don't have time to learn a new program.

  Could you please confirm with me that older versions of Adobe software, as one I use, have security vulnerabilities?

  -If you try to use this version very old on a new computer will be at YOUR risk of problems

  Depends on what you need to upgrade to.  Probably, you can't move on to a new Creative Suite CS4 because it is the most often is no longer in the upgrade path.  CS5 is usually at least in the way, and the only upgrade you could get is for CS6 since Adobe does not sell the old versions.

  If you want to join the creative cloud then you should be able to upgrade to the special Introduction plan, they have for the owners of the Creative Suite.

  I have been using Photoshop since version 7 (having switched from Corel software, previously used for ten years) and had success with it.

  I've upgraded to ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE, when it became available through the Adobe upgrade option and used only with equal pleasure.

  In 2010 I put to upgrade to ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS4, again using a version upgrade with no problems.

  I was in a newer computer, faster last week, but I could not reinstall my Photoshop CS4 on my new computer because I'm not able to activate the program.

• I can't quit photoshop CS4 place multiple images on one another.

  When you open multiple images in photoshop CS4, I would float on the screen images, IE to not place the stacked images. I currently go to the window menu and select float all in window every time. A default value is selectable which opens to them and shows them floating.
