  UPDATE: stumbled upon a workaround solution after much trial and error. At least until they fix mouse_up.

  If we consider the mouseLeave event... This event is dispatched normally as soon as the cursor leaves the bounds of the window of the player. But... If you toss first, then dragged outside the window, mouseLeave is not triggered * until the * Flash is followed. In other words, up to what the user drop the mouse button.

  So now, I listen to the * two * mouse to the top and mouseLeave object onstage and I can't reliable (cross browser), detect when the user released the mouse button in the case, the cursor is outside the scene. In this scenario I only attach listeners mouseLeave and mouseUp on the stage after that user has said first down. I then remove them once I detected the mouse upwards.

  Always in the hope of a solution, but at least this offer an alternative (though sneaky) bypass.

  Hi, I'm looking to do a State where an object or a component starts 'stage' and move to a State where it will be 'on stage '. It was easy enough to do in flash, however I tried to put something off stage with ACE, and my flex application just added a scroll bar. I know that I could have a little more ride the scroll bar to not show, but I don't know if I really need later. I'm sure it must be a fairly simple thing to do - but I'm not sure in flex!
