Why my system breaks up so often?

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 6000 (around 2004) 334 MHz, Intel Pentium M clocked at 1.86 GHz processor, 32-bit, x 86, with 1 GB of RAM under Windows XP Pro SP3. 60 GB of Samsung MP0603H HDD.

I reinstalled XP about 10 days ago (long story). Everything works fine now except that every two days when I run Disk Defragmenter Analyzer, he tells me I should defragment. Why I'm having to defrag so often? Here's the report I ran earlier...
Thanks in advance,
Mike

As you can see from the report, the majority of the fragmented files. System volume (System Restore) files can only be defragmented if instant snapshots system are off which I do not recommend. You can decrease the amount of the percentage of the General fragmentation by removing some of the restore points. You really have a LOT of restore points. Useless, I might add. To remove follow them below.

Windows XP:

1. open the properties of "My Computer".
2. Select the tab "system restore." If you don't see the System Restore tab, then you are not logged into Windows as an administrator.
3. check "Turn off System Restore" or "turn off the the system restore on all drives '.
4. now turn System Restore back on. This will remove all restore points and create a new one.

You can also consider lesseing the amount of space allocated to system restore. This will prevent both created before the oldest restore points are deleted.

The other file showing the fragmentation is an iso file (ubuntu - 12.04 - desktop - i386.iso). You can not file iso deframent.

3.6 GB is a very good number - much higher than most people's.

All versions of Windows 32-bit client (not just XP/Vista/7/8) have a
Address 4 GB of space (64-bit versions can use much more). It's the
theoretical upper limit beyond which you cannot go.

But you can't use the whole address space. Even if you have a
Address space of 4 GB, you can only use around 3. 1 GB of RAM (and as I
said, you do much better than that). This is because some of
This space is used by the hardware and is not available for the operation
system and applications. The amount you can
use varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but can
range from as little as 2 GB to 3.5 GB. It's usually around
    3. 1 GB.

Note that the hardware is using the space, not the real address
The RAM itself. If you have a larger amount of RAM, the rest of the RAM
goes unused because there is no address to map space to.

  • Why the system idle process makes my desk fan light constantly

Why the system idle process makes my desk fan light constantly

The system idle process has nothing to do with your fan coming.  Your computer constantly monitors the temperature of your CPU and if this temperature is too hot, then the fans move on to high speed.  You can use the freeware 'CoreTemp' program to display the temperature of your CPU, if you want.  Temperature rises usually when the computer is under heavy CPU load but the usual cause of high speed switching fans is an accumulation of dust inside the computer and close the CPU fan.  Open your case and clean the dust.  A can of compressed air makes quick work of it.

    Hi ashwin_amb,

System error memory dump files contain dump files created by Windows because of a stop error. They are created when an application crashes and creates an exception code. The dump file indicates which line or an area of memory the program crashed at and is used for troubleshooting.

Please help xx although mysystem restore is not checked in the system, I can not create nor is it anyrestore tip on my windows xp sp3 computer, it told me to restart and try again, but this does not work, please help xx thank you xx

    Hello

    1. why you try to run the system restore on Windows XP computer?

    2. what happens when you try to create a restore point? You receive an error message/code?

To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented. If method 1 does not resolve your problem, go to the next method.

    Method 1:

Try the steps listed in the article below and check.

You cannot create a restore with a HighPoint driver installed
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=322246&SD=RMVP

    Method 2:
Temporarily disable the security software installed on the computer and check if the problem persists.
Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3:
Please check if you are facing the same question when working in safe mode.

    Step 1

See the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

The restore of the system in safe mode and check.

    Step 2

    System restore

See if you can find a suitable restore point.

    Check out the link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

  • Why the system takes so much hard drive space (about 110 GB)?

How can I reduce it. I can't imagine why it takes so much space. does anyone have an idea?

    System: T400, bussiness Vista 32

    Hi Halloechen_Wei,

Probably of rescue and recovery made a bunch of backups that are too much space. I don't remember exactly what we call the option, but if you start the Rescue and Recovery program, there's a way to 'recover space' or something like that. Essentially, you can remove some of the backups to recover the part of hard disk space.

    Good luck
