  It is possible that this is a problem with the kit. I would recommend to download and install the latest BIOS update for your laptop, using the download at the following link: http://goo.gl/rbHkg

  If it still doesn't work after that, I would recommend to suppress the kit for a replacement or to try another.

  Energy Saver preferences are actually where you could put in place.  Note that there are separate settings for when the device is plugged by report when running on the battery.  Under 'Adapter' there is an option to prevent the computer from sleep automatically when the display is off - make sure that is unchecked if you want the device to sleep.  There is also the 'siesta' function that allows the system to wake up for backups TM, messages, notifications and mail.

  It seems that your device is not post.  You can try reinstalling the ram or simply by using a single module at a time, but other that that the device would need service...

  Just wanted to give an update on this issue, in case someone else runs into a similar situation. As I said, I'm under market entirely adapter. I found that the old ground had not been eradicated because if you go out without replacing, it leaves a gaping hole in your laptop!

  I solved the problem of blinky light orange by disconnecting the battery, but leaving so much, with little electrical tape, to hold it in place that it will protect the pins bit inside battery - thanks for the link to the manual, it is also useful.

  The flashing provides a micro code which refers to the hardware failure.
  But please don't ask me what might mean this code because in my opinion, only an authorized service provider can be read and can check in his manuals and documentations.

  OK, here is the cure. The light that makes the scanner is not lining up. There is a white bar that light up to the quadrature. Remove the top. Clean the glass so that the reader can tell exactly where the edge is. A FULL reset by unpluging power and all pressing on # 9 plug in the power again and HOLD #9 down UNTIL SEE YOU THE RESET VIEW.
