  Try to manually configure the DNS servers in the network card settings (guide: http://www.plus.net/support/software/dns/changing-dns-windows-8.shtml).
  It fixed the problem for me.
  Apparently it has something to do with the reuter incorrectly redirect DNS queries (I use D-Link).

  This may mean that you have over 70 entries in the two Start Menu > programs files. Try to click the Windows Orb (start), click all programs, and then click Open. Again right click all programs, and then click Open all users. Right-click the taskbar, and then click windows next door. Take a look in the two program records and if it has more than 70 entries, some of them combine or create subfolders. Right click on the task bar to cancel the side by side.

  Finally, using the Task Manager, terminate and restart Explorer or reboot the computer to refresh the list.

  I'm working on a project in Illustrator and I used as a starting point for something one of the gradients in Illustrator. I changed since certain colors in the gradient to fit my desired color scheme, and I now want to use certain colors in the gradient on other objects in the design for a color matching. I know that I can look at the values of the nuances in the gradient and create a new shade and manually enter those same numbers, but I wonder if there is a faster or easier way? I have had this happen before and I'd love to know an effective shortcut to time. I want to do ideally is to be able to tell Illustrator to create/send the stages of individual color in the gradient to the nuances of documents library. It's okay if she sends all colors at once, or if there is a way to drag or move them one at a time in the library. Is it possible to do other that manually re-create the color by the number? Again, just to clarify, I don't want to make a single shade of gradient in the library, I want to create a sample for each color in the gradient (i.e. a gradient with 3 color stops would create 3 shades of each in the shades of color of the document library).   You need 3 pallets open: Gradient, of shades and colors.

  In the palette degraded: adjust your gradient as you wish, select one of the steps of color or make a new stop at the color that you want to keep.

  You will see the selected gradient color in the color palette.

  Drag the color from the palette of colors to the Swatches palette.

  After a recent update, I seemed to lose my IE icon anywhere on the computer - I couldn't find iexplore.exe when you're looking for all of the C: drive, and the icon has disappeared from the start menu.

  I managed to install a Microsoft IE links and the software works very well.  However, when pinning the IE icon to the start menu, I just got a regular icon - I don't have the right arrow to go directly to a recent site / or InPrivate browsing etc.

  Does anyone know how to restore this feature?

  When I open recent items on the Start Menu, it is always empty.  If I right click on it and open in Solution Explorer, it is also empty... I REALLY miss this feature in XP!

  I recently updated my bios to the latest version, the v3.00 X200T and now it does not start from any device - everything I get a blank screen after the initial bios starts upward.

  The bios seems functional and it recognizes all the devices I attached, as well as the internal hard drive. However no matter how to start the machine it does not start. I tried to set the boot order in the bios, using F12, F11 for recovery, remove the internal HARD disk, used all the USB ports, etc... -all I get is a blank screen after the initial splash screen.

  No beeps to indicate any problems, and I tried to reset the default settings of the bios, remove battery & power - all to nothing does not.

  Any ideas?

  I updated the bios of many laptops and desktop computers in the past, but this is a new one on me...

  It seems that it also happens to X 200 owners who upgrade to version 3.01 of the Bios.

  mc2sgp has posted a response in this forum that worked for me:

  "I have the same problem and found the way to a temporary solution."  Go into the BIOS (you should always be able to press F1 to go into the BIOS) and go to Config-> CPU Intel VT - d characteristic of-> and disable it.  You should now be able to start normally in your operating system. "

  At least, I can now start my camera.

  ADMIN edit: tagging this post as the solution to guide others to the bypass.  Lenovo will remove the BIOS on the web and replace it with an updated version that resolves these symptoms as quickly as possible.
