Why private browsing is better than fair compensation history every day?

I heard you can do your banking transactions online and other financial activities in private browsing mode. I always clear history when I turn off the computer anyway. And get private browsing to accept my places previously marked with a bookmark has failed. I can re-favorite of private browsing, of course. But I just wondered if it is really necessary, or more for people with computers on the network, or shared computers?

You can not get to my computer - troubleshooting information. I use the Windows 7 operating system and the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.

Note that in private browsing mode disk cache is not used

Firefox also disables the disk cache if you use "Clear history of Firefox closing" to clear the cache of navigation.

So if you really want to erase all personal data of all day isn't much of a difference.

Private browsing mode only records data on the disk, but it keeps in memory for the current session.

Ultimate has some extra multimedia features, such as Windows Media Center.  It also has the ability to run multiple languages, I think. In addition, there is not much difference.  And if you do not need to connect to a domain, home edition Premium you will probably give everything that you need and want (and more).

  • Why is it "Private browsing" not indicated when automatically start navigation of privacy at the start of Firefox?

I was wondering why "Private browsing" is indicated only when it is turned on for a
individual session, and NOT when it is started automatically at startup of Firefox. Sometimes, I
forgot that I am in private browsing mode, so the things I want to keep (i.e.

Maybe it's just a matter of aesthetics, but it would also be useful to know the

  • One can see the cookies of session in private browsing mode - see only normal cookies.

    Using Firefox 19.0.2

Is it possible to allow Firefox to display ONLY the cookies of the current session in private browsing mode, rather than a list of my regular cookies?

First, basic cookies management seem to work fine for me, in both normal mode and private browsing: Cookies set during private browsing are removed as expected when you exit Firefox or switch to normal navigation.

    HOWEVER...

I can't SEE the new cookies set during a private browsing session.

If I start Firefox normally, switch to private browsing mode and then go to Options > show Cookies, the window opens showing a long list of my 'normal' cookies

Previously, the cookies window seems to be EMPTY at the start of a private browsing session. After a while of browsing and then recheck the list I see only the cookies set in this private browsing session.

Now, during a private session, when I re - check the list of cookies for navigation I see my regular cookies, and NONE of the new session cookies appear in this list (the same cookies appear as before switching to the private mode).

I tried to start Firefox in Mode safe, without a change in behavior. I also tried to disable the modules, without change.

    List of installed modules:

    Adblock Plus 2.2.3
    BetterPrivacy 1.6.8
    Ghostery 2.9.3
    Googlebar Lite 4.9.7

  • How can I get rid of the private browsing page when you open a new private window?

When I opened a private page of private browsing navigation appears and says this:

    Private browsing

Firefox don't remember the history of this window.

In a private browsing window, Firefox will retain all the history of the browser, search history, download history, form web history, cookies or temporary internet files. However, files you download and bookmarks you make will be kept.

To stop private browsing, you can close this window.

While this computer will not have a record of your browsing history, your internet service provider or your employer can always track the pages you visit.

I want to get rid of this suggestion?

It is not possible to get rid of this page in normal mode.
However, you do not get this page if you start Firefox in private browsing permanent mode (don't remember history).

  • Pop - up window asking if I want to known password don't pop up why I'm not in private browsing, and the site is not on the list of exceptions please help

I can not the firefox window to ask me if I want to remember my password. I'm not in private browsing. The site is not on the list of exceptions in the security zone where all other sites of passwords are stored.

Hello, Web sites can specify whether browsers should be able to save the name of user and password (through the AutoComplete = "off" attribute in the login form in the html source code)-it is often the case when a high level of security is probably held by these sites.

You can either install an addon or use a bookmarklet to work around this restriction.

Usernames and passwords are not saved

  • Why the LR5 catalog is better than PES 12 organizing?

    Jim

I started using a trial version of the LR5.

I've been a regular user of the different versions of the EP over the years.

In general, I was pleased by the Organizer, & have various tags nested in each other.

I've never had a problem with it being unstable, and can usually find what I'm looking for.

(provided that I have correctly tagged it in the first place :-))

My first impression of the LR5 catalog is that it is not as intuitive.

I searched online for how to install the catalog & most of the discussion relates to catalogues how to have. -J' have already made that decision - just one:

So?  What are the features I am missing in the LR5 catalog that make it better than the elements Organizer?

    What do you think?

I am also a happy user of the Organizer, but I also use LR 4.4.

What I find interesting in LR:

-huge amount of customization possible and options (if you need it...)

-Ability to handle JPEG files as well as the raws (the Organizer doesn't let you open JPEGs in acr,)

-Smart ways to manage variants without copying files (virtual copies)

    -The most advanced metadata management

    -possibility to merge catalogs

-Much more supported by Adobe and user forums

-Advanced options in the output in the latest versions

What can be the subject of a debate, it's the difficulty of the learning curve, as well as the "robustness" of the software. The organizer has riddled many bugs (there were already several years before LR). The problem is that after having much more options makes more complex LR. For example, the database has three times the number of tables. It follows that LR forums are full of complaints about bugs or missing features... just because it's too rich and trying to satisfy the needs of each.

Several cases of problems with the Organizer are related to the function of backup that backs up the images and catalogs. Catalogues only backup LR. Backup of images is your responsibility. If you have problems, it isn't for lack of LR, it's yours.

I can't find a post I made to show the possible benefits of the Organizer, but it was just for fun.

  • Using Firefox 26: since the PBS site altered, receive "year error has occurred... Please check if private browsing is OFF" continuously - private browsing is turned OFF.

Have used Firefox several years to view the videos at video.pbs.org. Impossible to say which came first: upgrade to Firefox 26 or PBS change their Web site but I can view is no longer any video to the ADDRESS: video.pbs.org. As soon as this page is in place, the window of Message dialog with this text: "an error [sic] has occurred. For a better experience with this site, please check if private browsing is DISABLED. »

If "OK" in the dialog box is hit, the window disappears, but reappears in a few seconds. Pressing 'OK' on four or five rehearsals of this screen message results in the message box reappear, but with a box line added with the text, "To prevent this page from creating additional dialog boxes." By selecting the check box makes no difference in behavior. Dialog box continue reappear even if a video can be selected and will start to play until the dialog box appears. At this time, playback is suspended but resumed after to press 'OK '. Dialog box is displayed again about more than 4 seconds.

I checked the Options confidentiality and subject: config that private browsing is not started automatically and no is not the default mode or auto started.

I am retired, not having cable and live in an area where reception of a PBS television station is problematic so PBS watched a video is my primary TV entertainment option.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks to all of you who responded. Certainly, it shows the power of open-source software and knowledge of the crowd-sourced.

suggestion of jscher2000 right of money. The preference of dom.storage.enabled was bold, and "false".

Change to 'true' and reload video.pbs.org eliminates the error message.

    Once again, thanks a lot.

  • List of sites Web which are allowed to set cookies is deleted every time when the browser is closed (private browsing is turned on). How can I fix it?

I just upgraded to Firefox 20.0 and now outside my cookies-whitelist was abolished after the upgrade, it is eliminated whenever I close the browser. I always used the private browsing and you want to keep it this way, if this bug (I hope that it has not expected behavior) is really annoying.
Another thing that bugged me since the previous version is, that cookies set by the authorized websites (those on the whitelist) appear no more. If cookies have been set, why should not be shown? Problems persist even with no active addons.
I would appreciate if this problem has been corrected or if anyone has a solution to these problems. Thank you.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Site preferences

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

If you run Firefox in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember the story) then you will not get the purple mask because all open windows are automatically in PB mode.
