Why the MouseEvent not a compilation is constant?

Hi - I'm trying to understand AS3 having never really understood AS2.

In a class file, I have a button (GameButton) I want to all proceedings there are exactly the same. I found this code in a tutorial, but when I run it I get the error: "Type was not found or was not a compilation constant: MouseEvent.»  And then he appoints 2 of my public duties. I don't see what is wrong, so I hope someone can tell me what is the problem here.  Here's all the code in my class file:

package {}

import flash.display.MovieClip;

SerializableAttribute public class GameButton extends MovieClip {}

public void GameButton() {}

trace ("GameButton has been created");
Stop();

addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, hoverOver);
addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, hoverOff);
}

public void hoverOver(event:MouseEvent):void
{
this.gotoAndStop (2);
}
public void hoverOff(event:MouseEvent):void
{
this.gotoAndStop (1);
}

public void setLabel(newLabel:String):void
{
this.buttonLabel.text = newLabel;
}
}
}

TIA your expertise.

JL

When you see a message like that it means that you need to import that class (just as you have imported the movieclip class).  (or, you have made a typo, and there is no such class.)

If you don't know how to import this class, see this category in the help files, and at the top, it will show how it should be imported:

import flash.events.MouseEvent

  • Why the calendar not storage my dates?

    White MacBook 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.9.5 end of 2010:

    When I open the calendar, and add a new entry, calendar stores not my nomination, but only when I repeat, schedule keep the contribution!

    Hello there, barcimarci.

    Looks like you are having problems with the calendar by keeping your initial entry when you create one from scratch. One thing we might want to try is to see if it behaves in the same way in a new user. To do this, the following Knowledge Base article offers the process on how to achieve this:

    How to test a question in another account on your Mac.

    Before you try a different user account

    If you see unexpected behavior on your Mac to first try the following steps:

    Try to search the base knowledge of Apple for the specific symptom or an alert message you see. There could be more simple measures that you can take to solve the problem.

    Try to boot your Mac in Mode safe. Restart your computer. Hold the SHIFT key when you hear the startup sound. Release the SHIFT key when you see the Apple logo appears. Your Mac starts up in Safe Mode. Safe mode performs a check of your startup disk directory and removes data from the cache. Once your finished Mac commissioning, restart the Mac normally (without hold the SHIFT key) and see if the problem is resolved.

    Make sure your software is up-to-date. The question that you see can be addressed by installing the available updates.

    Check to see where the problem occurs. If a problem arises until you see your desktop, it is less likely that it is related to a setting or a user account. If a problem occurs with a Web site, see if the pages of other websites correctly first load. There could be a problem with the site and not your Mac.

    How to test with another user account

    You can find out if unexpected behavior is related to the user file or a parameter in trying to reproduce the problem to a different user account. This process includes creating a new user account, connect to it and test for the issue.

    Create a test user account

    1. In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
    2. Click the users and groups in the System Preferences window.
    3. Click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
    4. Click on the button Add (+) below the list of users.
    5. Choose a type of user in the new pop-up menu.
    6. Give the user a name and first name, account name, and password.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Close the System Preferences window.

    If there are documents from your user account that you want to test with original, place a copy of these items in the shared folder in the users folder. Press the Option key while dragging a file in this folder to create a copy.

    Connect to the test user account

    Log out of your current user account by choosing logout in the Apple menu, and then open a session the new account that you created. If you are prompted to login with your iCloud or Apple ID account when you log in, skip this step.

    Try to reproduce the problem

    Try the same steps that caused the unexpected behavior to appear. For example, if you are unable to print, try printing from this user account. If you were unable to connect to the Internet, try to navigate on a website of this user account.

    If you use specific test settings depends on (for example using a specific e-mail account or an account iCloud) implemented the same test user account. For email and other parameters, you can use the Internet accounts pane in system preferences to set up these types of accounts. If your home folder files are necessary for tests, copy them into the shared folder in the users folder (/ Users/Shared). After you connect as a user test, copy these items to the same location in the test user home folder to test with.

    If a problem occurs in account only one user

    Is using the same steps in a user account test does not cause the same unexpected behavior, most likely you don't need to reinstall applications or OS X.

    • If a problem occurs only in a single application, check the documentation or Web site for instructions on troubleshooting specific preferences or the definition of the application files.
    • If you need help with a problem or a specific alert message, search the Apple support Web site for the text of the alert message you see.

    If a problem occurs in more than one user account

    If the same unexpected behavior occurs in more than one user account on your Mac, try checking for software or hardware problems.

    Once you have finished

    When you are finished testing, disconnect from the test account by choosing logout in the Apple menu. Then, connect to your original user account.

    You can Remove the account to test user created when you are finished. Make sure you're completely finished stable, and you don't need the files or settings you have created or copied there until you delete it.

    Thank you for reaching out to the communities of Apple Support.

    See you soon.

    Hi Barry -.

    If the dashboard in question was created with WCF (our Framework Web component that is included with the product), then using the tab design inspecting dashboard design suggested Bart is a good. WCF dashboard get much of their data by querying the Foglight data model so once you are in the editor of WCF, change views to queries drop-down list and see what queries can exist in this module WCF. Test if you find to make sure they return data. Also change the functions drop-down list and see if you can test as well.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why Motorola does not have hands-free in the bike box?

    Why Motorola does not have hands-free box?

    I have all kinds of helmets that work very well.

    As to why the bike not turned in the box - I would say that most people do not use them. You may disagree, and perhaps it is regional. But looking around the United States and the European Union, most of the people with cell phones do not use wired headphones. And the few people I know that do, tend to buy a different brand of what is in the box.

    In the United States, you can get them in many stores for less then $10 for Motorola is saving most of us who do not use wired headphones. I have a set that runs in my backpack as a backup, but I always forget it's there and use the phone without it.

  • Why the optimizer ignores Index Fast full Scan when much lower cost?

    Summary (tracking details below) - to improve the performance of a query on more than one table, I created an index on a table that included all the columns referenced in the query. With the new index in place the optimizer is still choosing a full Table Scan on an Index fast full scan. However, by removing the one query tables I reach the point where the optimizer suddenly use the Index Fast Full Scan on this table. And 'Yes', it's a lot cheaper than the full Table Scan it used before. By getting a test case, I was able to get the motion down to 4 tables with the optimizer still ignoring the index and table of 3, it will use the index.

    So why the optimizer not chooses the Index Fast Full Scan, if it is obvious that it is so much cheaper than a full Table Scan? And why the deletion of a table changes how the optimizer - I don't think that there is a problem with the number of join permutations (see below). The application is so simple that I can do, while remaining true to the original SQL application, and it still shows this reversal in the choice of access path. I can run the queries one after another, and he always uses a full Table Scan for the original query and Index fast full scan for the query that is modified with a table less.

    Watching trace 10053 output for the two motions, I can see that for the original query 4 table costs alone way of ACCESS of TABLE UNIQUE section a full Table Scan. But for the modified query with a table less, the table now has a cost for an Index fast full scan also. And the end of the join cost 10053 does not end with a message about exceeding the maximum number of permutations. So why the optimizer does not cost the IFFS for the first query, when it does for the second, nearly identical query?

    This is potentially a problem to do with OUTER joins, but why? The joins between the tables do not change when the single extra table is deleted.

    It's on 10.2.0.5 on Linux (Oracle Enterprise Linux). I did not define special settings I know. I see the same behavior on 10.2.0.4 32-bit on Windows (XP).

    Thank you

    DETAILS
    I've reproduced the entire scenario via SQL scripts to create and populate the tables against which I can then run the queries. I've deliberately padded table so that the length of the average line of data generated is similar to that of the actual data. In this way the statistics should be similar on the number of blocks and so forth.

    I mentioned that it is a bug related to the ANSI SQL standard and transformation probably.

    As suggested/asked in my first reply:
    1. If you use a no_query_transformation then you should find that you get the use of the index (although not in the plan you would expect)
    2. If you use the traditional Oracle syntax, then you should not have the same problem.

  • Error: Type was not found or was not a compilation constant: AlertDialog.

    I tried to compile one of my PlayBook AIR applications using the SDK of AIR BB10 tonight and got:

    Error: Type was not found or was not a compilation constant: AlertDialog.

    The command I used to compile was:

    Set JAVA_HOME = e: files (x 86) \Java\jre7
    set PATH = % PATH %; E:\Program Research In Motion\blackberry-tablet-sdk-3.0.0\bin

    CD E:\Users\Daniel\Dropbox\Apps\iTunesSync\Version0.3
    mxmlc + configname = air - library-path +=. iTunesSync.as o iTunesSync.swf - swf-version = 10

    This works if I use the SDK 2.0.0, but doesn't if I'm using 3.0.0.

    Strange.

    I confirmed that AlertDialog is always present:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/Air/beta/APIs/QNX/dialog/AlertDialog.html#includeExamplesSummary

    In BB10, device skins (and others) require the ANE must be loaded with the installation.

  • Type was not found or was not a compilation constant: ImportExportConfiguration

    Hello

    I use a text layout framework and get an error type was not found or was not a compilation constant: ImportExportConfiguration. I use Flex Builder 3, Flex SDK version flex_sdk_4.0.0.10485 and flash player 10.0.12, surprisingly this not found error in my project workspace.

    In my code I am using

    Import flashx.textLayout.container.DisplayObjectContainerController;

    Help

    Thank you

    Kumar Gaurav Pandey

    You are using an older version of our code. I suggest upgrade you to the latest code, see: http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Flex+SDK.

    You don't need to use the Flex Framework, but it comes with the latest textLayout libraries and source code.

    Hope this helps,

  • Error: Type was not found or was not a compilation constant: PieChart.

    Hi all

    I get an obtuse error message from the compiler again. I get

    Error: Type was not found or was not a compilation constant: PieChart.

    For the following code

    < mx:VBox >
    < mx:PieChart id = dataProvider = "{parentApplication.services.webservice.getDealData.lastResult.SeriesVO"dealsPieChart"}" showDataTips = "true" > "
    < mx:series >
    < mx:PieSeries labelPosition = "legend" field = "count" field name = "name" / >
    < / mx:series >
    < / mx:PieChart >
    < mx:Legend dataProvider = "{dealsPieChart}" / >
    < / mx:VBox >

    I don't know what I am getting this error. According to the examples that I read on the site of flex on the charts all seem fine. Any pointers welcom.

    OK - I think that I n "t have the component graph charting. It looks like a separate download. The is not going to be open comes? If this isn't the case - first bad sign for me of the authenticity of the open source moves.

    This actually solved for me after going to settings, General, reset, reset the location and privacy... and then plug in the unit and pressing the trust... hope that works for others.

    So you're claiming Apple is selling iPads with a charger that doesn't work?

    A charger 10W works perfectly well. A 12W charger can be slightly faster to load under certain conditions.
