  Not knowing exactly what your blood looks like suddenly makes it a bit difficult to help.  But here's a proposed solution that can run anything.

  Create a precomp to your blood.

  Open the precomp.

  Duplicate the layer of blood.

  On the top layer of blood, add a Correction of color - black and white.  Adjust the level of red to be as white as possible.

  On the top layer of blood, adds a levels or curves and adjust it to the Red (which is now gray) to become white.  (essentially by making your own mask)

  On the bottom layer of blood value hides by Luma approach.

  Now, click the curved effect on your top layer.  Lock the effect control window by clicking on the padlock icon in the window.

  Go back to your main computer and the curves adjustment must always be visible in the effect control window.  The adjust until the luminance values work for your mask.

  You can also add controls masts to soften and adjust the appearance.

  I hope this helps if nothing else does.

• Why the drop shadow options change all layers not only the photo im working on?

  I have a poster with different layers, like text, photo, etc.  I have inserted a new photo and make a shadow, changing the size, spread and distance, but when I change some of these options as the angle or distance all the layers on the poster who shadows behind all the changes that I chose for the inserted picture.  I reproduced just the photo layer to use a drop shadow (using only the option of distance), then it changed all the text on the poster with her.  ??? None of the layers are related to each other.

  Only the angle of the drop shadows can be (and are by default) linked together. To enable or disable this feature use the check box use Global light right next to the Angle selector

• Why the objects on the artboard black and white?

  I was working in Illustrator this morning and has the selected text tool.  I clicked on the screen and somehow, everything changed in black and white, even if when you click on an object, it shows it is in color.  Also, I am not able to move anything.  I have no idea of what I did, but when I open a new document in Illustrator, it displays the same thing... only the contours.  Maybe someone knows how to solve this problem and what I did?  Any help would be appreciated.  Here is a screenshot.

• Why the predictive text is now white on pale blue, thus making it unreadable?

  When you use find predictive text on my homepage to google i changed white on pale blue background. This makes it unreadable. I just tried setting upward a page of google on IE i and the text is black on white and easily readable.
  This happened only recently (in the last day or almost).

  You can try like theme different Windows or another theme of Firefox to see if that helps.

  • By clicking on the star in the toolbar navigation go to bookmark the page in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and the star lights in blue to show that

  You certainly seem to have two dictionaries (GB, British-English and Spanish, es - are) installed correctly, no problem.

  You don't mention what version of Firefox you have installed essentially, the English or the Spanish version, but I'll assume English here - it may even indifferent, as long as both dictionaries are installed properly, they must be usable.

  When you enter text in a text box, you should be able to click right in the region and in the context menu, have a point "language > ' under which you can select which dictionary to use in the page.

  To make it even more practical and user-friendly to yourself, I can strongly recommend an add-on Firefox that I use myself to control the selection of the dictionary; the Dictionary Switcher addon. You can get it here: Mozilla Addons or authors homepage.

• Pages cannot lock the object!

  I've been using pages for a while and for some reason, recently, I can't lock or group objects. It is a reference image. The lock is disabled for some reason any.

  This looks like an operation to exclude it. Select the remains and in the Layout tab, choose Object Placement under stay on the Page. Now, the lock button become available and actually locks the object.

  Pages on OS X 10.11.4 v5.6.1.

• DDL lock on the object in a SELECT statement?

  Environment:

  Oracle 11.2.0.4 EE on Solaris

  My client called me when she was trying to create a new index on a table and the process was just hanging.  Also, she was not able to DELETE an existing index on the same table, which deal with hang them as well.

  After reviewing the advice DBA_DDL_LOCKS, I found a DDL lock on the target of the index table.

  The DDL lock is held by a process doing a SELECT on the table and this process worked for several hours.

  There was no entry in V$ LOCKED_OBJECTS for the table.

  I don't know, yet, what other operations prior to the SELECT statement in the offending process, I have not heard of the user yet.

  I realize a DDL lock is placed on objects to prevent changes while specific operations are directed against this object, i.e. the DROP, UPDATE, compile the PACKAGE, etc.

  Question: Is a select also place a DDL lock on a table at a level that would avoid a new index is created or an existing index having fallen?
