Why the time zones are different?

Hello

When I run these queries, I get different answers.

Select DBTIMEZONE from DUAL;
+ 0:00

Select current_timestamp double;
< timestamp > + 08:00

Select double sessiontimezone;
+ 08:00

Please me know why is that?
How to make all these queries to return a timezone that is correct?

Thank you

These functions are different, dbtimezone return database time zone what database, gain of time obtained the value, if you want to change this, then you must run the alter database set time_zone , see example below

  • Why the bounding boxes are different between the XI Acrobat Pro and Acrobat DC?

    Hello

    Firstly apologies if this been asked elsewhere, but so far I have failed to find a solution.

    I have Acrobat Pro XI and Acrobat DC, each on two different PCs using Windows 8. Why the function edit text & Images interprets the same PDF document differently when displaying the bounding boxes. In Pro XI he produced 7 inclusive about 7 decent size paragraphs of text only. In MS bounding boxes are reduced to only 3 each effectively covering most thick of text in the document. To quickly select 3 of 7 bounding boxes to remove them entirely from my PDF seems not to be possible in DC, where I appear instead of having to select large portions of the text instead and delete accordingly.

    I don't see where in preferences maybe you can change the 'sensibility' or 'threshold' to distribute a PDF file in smaller sizes (but more) bounding boxes. Is it possible to make DC behave like a Pro XI?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    How the Apple Watch is managing the activities and objectives when I change the time zone?

    On a long distance flight with a time zone difference of nine hours, what would be the best time to switch to the time zone of the airport of destination, so that the objective of settlement can be completed, even if there is a shorter nine hour day?

  • Calendar entry for flights crossing the time zones

    I fight to find the right method to enter a calendar event that starts in a time zone and ends in another.  It is often the case for the flights of the airline.  Example: My departure is from New York (JFK) at 12:00 noon Monday and arriving in Seoul, Korea is at 16:24 (local) Tuesday.  I cross the road to the International Dateline. With Support for time zones "lit", how to capture these moments so that they are accurate, once arrived in Seoul?

    Even more difficult: due to cross the International Date line on my return, I arrived in New York earlier that my time of departure the same day.

    Any suggestions on how to deal with this would be appreciated!

    If you enable support for time zones, each entry includes the time zone setting. Select the correct time zone for each. Move real time you you include an entry in the "travel time" drop-down menu. Otherwise enter time manually and identify the zone in the title.

    Auditor of file system (CFS) scanner and check if that helps. The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    1. click Startand type cmd in the box start the search .

    2. in the area of results, right-click cmd.exe, and then click run as administrator. You will be asked to type the password for an administrator account. If you are the administrator or type the administrator password, click continue . Then, click continue.

    3. at the command prompt, type Sfc/scannow, and then press ENTER.

    The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your CD with Windows 7.

    LON

    NLS_DATE_FORMAT is only the output format, you cannot use it for the time zone but...

    ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE = '-4:0';
    ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS';
    SELECT SESSIONTIMEZONE, CURRENT_DATE FROM DUAL;
