  I have a lot of links to the site drag my desktop for convenience in going back to the site, because it is one I want to access frequently or because I want to look more carefully before deciding if I want to keep the information or not.  Also some PDFs for the same reasons.   And a lot of aliases for documents and records.

  I never understood an effective way to use bookmarks, Favorites, reading function later. I could watch again, when I get El Capitan, if that's what I should do.

  I'm sure it's good to use the alias on the desktop, but other are likely to slow down or create any problem?
