  The fact that my USB connection comes from a computer with no network could make it difficult to set up the P1102 for the wireless.  Should I move my USB to Windows 7 computer to get the network and printer configure everything, and give them the USB for XP so that I can print it from there?  I also have a laptop I want to use wireless with two printers, if I can get all the parameters as I want.

  I see you are having problems setting up the printer again on the network with encryption. I will definitely do my best to help you.

  I would like to reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
  Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

  Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
  Print a Configuration Page.

  Connect the USB cable from the printer to the Windows 7 computer.

  Then, run the wireless configuration to configure the printer on the network again.

  Go to start, all programs, HP, HP Laserjet P1102w, then select Wireless Network Configuration.

  Steps to configure the wireless.

  Then, unplug the USB cable.

  Test the printer on the wireless network.

  For the laptop, just run the wizard printer devices and printers. You will need the CD or you can simply connect the printer to the laptop and the Smart Automatic Install will load and install the printer.

  You will not be able to use the old profile, but the hidden administrator account is activated, you may be able to access files and folders in this account that you have not deleted the profile.

I have a modem to work with band wifi.  Once I've set up wireless can I use my usb on my desktop connection.  I have desktop and I have a mini I - pad.   I understand that you get an error code 10 device when you plug your tablet computer. This error is due to some kind of unspecified driver or device problem. In your Windows Device Manager is not able to start the unit due to a driver-specific is not recognized.   I recently updated from windows XP 32-bit to Windows 7 64 bit.  According to the same installation instructions, that I used on XP to connect to my computer to work through VPN & remote desktop is no longer working.  I can connect to the VPN connection without no problem, but when I use remote desktop to connect to the computer, it does not work.  I get the message:

  Remote Desktop cannot connect to the remote computer to one of the following reasons:

  (1) remote access to the server is not enabled

  (2) the remote computer is disabled

  (3) the remote computer is not available on the network

  Make sure that the remote computer is on and connected to the network, and remote access is enabled.

  Items 1-3 are all very well, so it must be another problem.  I also checked windows firewall remote desktop is allowed on the exceptions list.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  I fixed, which was ultimately quite simple.  I changed the 3 settings, 1 - uncheck the TCP/IP v6 2 - in the options of the remote desktop, ADVANCED tab, I changed the server authentication for: connect and don't warn me.  3 - below, to connect from anywhere, settings...  I chose: do not use a remote desktop gateway server. \
  I checked the TCP/IP v6 and everything still works.

  Thanks for the reply with the status of the issue.

  It seems to be a problem with iTunes not with Windows. I suggest you try reinstalling iTunes and check if it helps. If the problem still persists, then try to install iTunes in Windows 7 compatibility mode and check if it works for you.
