• Domain group policy does not work on a station

  Been the last week reading everything that is available on the internet.

  Win 2008 R2 Standard

  Group Policy created and linked to an OU - ministere1

  in the AD, the container has users in it that the policy should apply to.

  everything works fine on PC1 for User1

  everything works fine on PC1 for User2

  does not work on PC2 or for User1 or 2

  RPC is enabled

  Domain controller - use the default

  gpupdate/force - shows update is successful

  Gpresult /R shows the groups appropriate for user 1 and 2 but can be applied strategy local politics

  is there something I need to turn it on to use the distributed domain GPO?

  BTW.

  politics is Frank - maps a network as a reader folder (checked the privileges and as said before - this works fine on PC1 but not on PC2)

  Both PC's are Win 7 64 bit Pro

  When you try to test the strategy side server it shows RPC server not available

  RSoP will also show access denied on PC2

  If you have any solution for this problem - please help

• How to get our app on a BES client (policy does not allow downloading applications)

  I'm in a bit of a link here.

  We launched our application in November of last year. It is available on App World and our customers were downloading it very well so far.

  One of our customers sent us a few days ago an email asking how they could 'push' our application to their employees through their Blackberry Enterprise Server. I've never worked with before BES and had no idea what they were talking about.

  I asked them if their blocked policy used to download apps from App World and unfortunately they said yes.

  Now, during our beta-test phase, I had our testers download from our server by linking to our .jad file. Could this be the same design for better?

  How the client business "grow" our application to their employees? Do I have to send them our COD files?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  There are a few options that the company might use:

  (1) to grow in fact the customer request would need the COD and ALX files (note, not brother COD files [ending-# .cod] but together main COD files). They can index the latter on their BES and push them to a subset of employees.

  (2) if the company uses BES 5.0.3 then they can actually afford to App World and only allow certain applications to be accessible. This may be a better approach, because it does not require the developer to provide the COD and ALX files, will the upgrade path normal app and will be much easier to maintain for both parties.

• Harvest access policy does not

  I'm accommodating a target system LDAP connected to IOM 11 GR 2 PS2 and I would like to use the political feature of harvest. I reconciled an account and it's target (rights) system roles in IOM and I waited this work to "Evaluate the user policies" would be given a role of IOM corresponding to the user (based on the system of law and the target defined in the access policy). But it doesn't work--not even after setting manual USER_PROVISIONING_ATTRS explicit. POLICY_EVAL_NEEDED = 1 (in the comic book) - after the work performed to the value of POLICY_EVAL_NEEDED is 0, but there is no association between the user account and the corresponding IOM role (I expect that this is the result of the harvest of the access policy).

  My setup - I set the cfg attributes XL system. AllowAPHarvesting, XL. AllowAPBasedMultipleAccountProvisioning to access TRUE, corresponding policy must be harvested system target filled in and also the corresponding payment is defined in the policy. Retro indicator is on. I did not set the discriminator to account for the target system because there is max one account per user in the target system LDAP.

  Can you help me identify the reason why the harvest is not working?

• Access policy does not change the status of resource

  I have a set access policy to assign a role and a resource to anyone in a specific group. The policy work very well for those who have never had the resource before. For people who were in a disabled state resource - access policy is to add the role, but it does not change the State of the resource from disabled to enabled (or put into service).
  
  How can I do so it adds not only the role, but he changes the State of the handicapped resource? Thanks in advance.

  Simple!

  -Create an adapter of the entity during the prior insertion of the Members Group.Group of the user who will be called on the user being part of the group. Add custom java code that will check the resource assigned to this user and confirm if its there and in a disabled state. If its disabled and then turn it back on, otherwise just hang on and do nothing.

• Why my Intel wireless adapter is disconnected and does not restore until I restart the computer?

  If this is the driver you have, then this is the most recent.

  If this isn't the case, you can give it a try, since you have nothing to lose. You shouldn't have to put up with unstable connections. I hope that the last version of driver if you are not running currently, solve your connection problems.

  Recently, I noticed that the group policies that are assigned the user to my organization OR may not apply.  When I do a gpresult, does not that the virtual machine is looking this UO at all even.  View machines are supposed to load user policies as any other workstation domain?

  I found the cause, a stupid mistake on my part.  There is a strategy of the computer that had active loopback, but replace the value.

  I recently deployed a windows 2008 (32 std) additional domain controller for our windows 2003 DC. and I moved to make PDC FSMO roles in 2008. now I get error when I open Group Policy and none of the policy is to take users. the error is "the network name is not found.

  I run the command adprep/adprep domainprep/gpprep command when I deploy the windows Server 2008. below error, I get in the event viewer for the same thing.

  "The Software Installation Group Policy Client Side Extension was impossible to apply one or more parameters, because the changes must be processed before logon startup or user system. The system will wait for the treatment group strategy to finish completely before the next startup or logon for that user, and this may result in slow startup and startup performance '.

• Smartband talk is disconnected and does not restore

  1 week old and it comes up with 'Samrtband is disconnected, you may be off' is 8 inches away, restarted my z3 xperia and always the same, both fully charged.

  It sets I removed the smarttalk app and reinstalled and chose the pair manually option. Not happy for a device/new application go awol however. Thanks for the help

• Parental control: disconnection time does not

  I recently created my kids computer with parental control, with the goal being to their ability to use the computer when I'm not around.  Overall, the controls seem to work fine (we have Windows 7 starter edition) except when their time has passed.  For example, I have a child allowed to 5-6 and the other 6 - 7.  6 the system is automatically hitting the first child, but it isn't really their disconnection.  So when the next kid goes to log on to the computer says that another user is currently connected.  Kid, you can't not reconnect to disconnected and kid 2 is unable to open a session.  The only way around it is to me as an administrator to log myself, which then automatically stops kid 1 on.  So I have to close the session back and then kid 2 can connect.

  This isn't a system that works if I'm not in the House, of course.  Is there a way to make it 1) give kid 1 a warning 5 min. so that it knows to disconnect and to complete what she done, instead of just turn off suddenly?  It could be disastrous, of course, if a document is under development and the computer just starts without warning.     (2) actually do disconnect kid 1 before returning to the login screen?

  Unfortunately, it's by design. When you log in as an administrator you can connect to the wide of other users. Follow these steps to log on to the account with Parental control and/or any other user.

• Group Policy does not apply on Windows 7 with the Windows 2008 R2 domain controller

  Trying to troubleshoot a GP associated question where, seems, desktops (Win 7 Enterpise) do not receive the last group policy.  He doesn't seem to get at some point after an arbitrary time period (two or three weeks), but it is insanse.

  -Have you checked with the GPMC (connect to each domain controller individually) that all four domain controllers are running the same GP later version; no replication errors.

  -No errors appear on the workstation or server logs (logs\winlogon or event viewer-> Group Policy).

  -gpupdate/force runs without error

  -gpresult and RSoP both supplement fine, watch the GP is be applied correctly, to APPLY THE OLD GP SO!

  -No error up with whent the following undocumented debugging is also enabled: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics] "GPSvcDebugLevel" = dword:00030002

  So, my little finger tells me that the problem is the GP are not be tire/replicated/either at the workplace in a timely mannger (reboot, gpupdate/force, etc.) but do not know how to see what is the interval, troubleshoot, etc.

  I understand from the description of the problem, that you have problems with registration on the user account on the computer of Windows 8.

  I understand this must be frustrating, but don't worry, we're here to help and guide you in the right direction.

  I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

  (1) is the computer that is connected to a domain or any form of computer network?

  (2) you are the computer administrator?

  If it's just a PC at home, connect using the administrator account and check the Group Policy client service.

  (a) press the Windows key + R, type services.msc in the Run dialog box and click on enter.

  (b) to navigate down the list until you find Group Policy Client.

  (c) make sure that it is set to Automatic and is started. You can change to double clicking on it and selecting the drop down.

  (d) try the user account login and check.

  It will be useful.
