  • Generate the Script to create project gets no version of the server

We use the SQL Developer for most of our database and ODT for Visual Studio source code control. We recently encountered a problem where our scripts were not up-to-date with the server version and almost lost a significant amount of work (but we do not have through flashbacks). If a package is changed on the server outside my instance of Visual Studio, "Generate create Script to project" is not the latest version of the server and seems rather to get a version cached of the package according to when he finally examined by the Server Explorer.

    Steps to reproduce:
Create a specification package and body on the server.
    Open an Oracle database project.
    Open connection to the DB/schema.
    Expand the packages node.
Select a package node in Server Explorer and "Generate create Script to project" from the context menu. You generate a script spec and body.
Change the package using a tool external (SQL Developer).
Select the same package in Server Explorer and "generate create Script to project.
The script does not update with the changes made on the server.

    A couple of notes:
If I disconnect and reconnect, it will refresh and I get the version of SQL Server. The body will be updated.
If I refresh the connection node and to script the package body will be updated.
If I refresh the packages node and generate the script package body will not be updated.
If I refresh the parent node package and script the package body will not be updated.
If I expand the body for the first time and generate a script from the node parent package the package body will be updated.
If the package body has been expanded and I update a parent node and script the package body will be updated.

At the very least, I would expect refreshing a node parent to refresh all the brothers and sisters.

If caching is by design, it would be good to know if the package had changed since the cached version. If not, he should get the server version.

We believe that it is somehow to do with Hyper-V under Windows 2008 and vWorkSpace running on Windows 2012 - the VHDX format is not supported by the version of Hyper-V server. A glance online confirms this. So my question is, how update the master image changed the format VHD vWorkSpace wants to use and is there a way to assign vWorkSpace don't know this format?

I have widely in search of a solution to this line and not found anything it either, nor there seems a clear way in the vWorkSpace console to change that.

    Thank you

    Hello

I suspect that you have created a snapshot on your model.  It is not supported, if you delete the snapshot so that the .avhd is merged to the vhd/vhdx and update the model in vWorkspace again.  If this does not work, you will need to delete the model of vWorkspace and then re-import.

  • ORA-03134: connections to this version of the server are no longer supported in 11.2 to 9.2.0.8 database

    Hello

I use the ODP.NET 11.2 (Oracle.DataAccess.dll 4.112.3.0) for .NET 4.5 (in Visual Studio 2012). I can connect to 11g databases but when trying to connect to 9.2.0.8 database, this error is thrown:

ORA-03134: connections to this version of the server are no longer supported

I do not understand why, like I could connect using Toad, but not a .NET application.

    Furthermore, I use Windows 7 64 bit.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave

    Hi Dave,.

I see that you have version 12 of the supplier in the GAC (i.e. Version = 4.121.1.0). But only for the x 86 and you mentioned that you had Windows 7 64 bit. Your application is compiled as x 86, x 64 or Any CPU?

You have confirmed that your application does not load this version? For example, because policy redirects in the GAC (such as Policy.4.112.Oracle.DataAccess, Version = 4.121.1.0).

You can use a tool such as SysInternals Process Explorer or the Assembly Binding Log Viewer (i.e. the SDK fuslogvw) to confirm if necessary.

It is true that version 12 would return ORA-3134 when you attempt to connect to a database of 9.2 because this combination is not supported.

    Thank you

  • ORA-03134: connections to this version of the server are no longer supported.

I installed the latest Oracle ODP .NET version for 32-bit Windows 7. I copied on my TNSNAMES file. ORA. This is a new installation and I checked the registry to verify that there is a single ORACLE_HOME here.

When I try to connect to my server (version 8.1.7), I the error described above.

I get the same error in my .NET code, regardless of the library, I use (ODP .NET) or (System.Data.OracleClient).

The .NET version of the ODP is 4.121.1.0

How can I get around this?

    Thanks in advance!

ODP.NET 10.2 downloads are on the same page of the ODAC as 12.1 downloads. Just scroll down until you find the version you want.

You don't need to uninstall 12.1, but if you are a beginner, then I recommend that you uninstall 12.1. Parts unmanaged Oracle customers can face sometimes evil appears in the path of Windows before version is planned.

  • Incompatibility of logging postfix in OpenSSL versions after the server upgrade

In my postfix logs, I get:

"WARNING: Library Runtime vs. compile header version mismatch: OpenSSL 2.0.0 is not compatible with OpenSSL 0.9.8.

When smtp or smtpd connections are attempted. It is true that it is only a warning and the connection goes ahead, but someone has an idea where can be found the error?

This has happened only since the update of my Mac Mini (used as home to 10.11.4 Server) and Server 5.1!

I'm seeing this too. So far there is no sequel, and I don't think it will be one question (other than the warning message). I doubt that this can be corrected without re - compile Postfix against the correct library/header. Will examine however.

  • What Version of Vcenter Converter to install?

    Hello world

New to the Group and have recently played with VMWare. Our 3 Vcenter servers run v4.1. I wanted to P2V a machine

to one of our guests and noticed, Vcenter Converter we had not installed on Vcenter server.  When I looked

to this he said Converter 4.2, installed and tried to start it. Came back with an error of not finding a configuration file and

that I should reinstall the software.  Following a vmware doc, it was suggested that I go to the Vcenter server and uninstall the

conversion software, uninstalled both the converter and the customer. Now trying to find the right version of the converter to reinstall.

Watching downloads I am presented with 4.3 standalone - it would be OK?

My apologies for the level of detail in the question, trying to FYI as well as ask.

Converter 4.3 is the current version, although there is also a public beta version of Converter 5.0 (http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/beta/public_converter_50) that works really well. However, you also need to consider that comments of the operating systems you want to convert. The most recent versions of the converter do not support for example Windows NT and 2000.

  • MAF: LifeCycleListener.Start ("is installed App have new version to the PlayStore AppStore")?

    Nice day:

I spent time trying to decode how get my application to check a program if there is a newer version on AppStore or PlayStore launch.  Now that the MAF is out, I wonder if the framework provides a direct solution for this?  Here's what my research has revealed so far:

    • the code will be called LifeCycleListener.Start method (application) that is triggered during the launch of
    • I found these code solutions:

    ANDROID OPTION:

String response = SendNetworkUpdateAppRequest(); // Your code to do the network request

// should send the current version to the server
if(response == "YES") // Start Intent to download the app user has to manually install it by clicking on the notification
      startActivity
    (new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse("URL TO LATEST APK")));

    ANDROID OPTION:

    intent.setDataAndType (Uri.fromFile (new File (Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory () + "/ Download /" + ApkName.toString ())), "application/vnd.android.package-archive"); startActivity (intent);

The MAF framework has a solution?

There is no built-in feature to do this.  What I understand iOS & Android SDK do not have this feature either, it's something that you, the developer must create.

A google for "ios check new version on the app store" Stackoverflow shows various solutions for iOS at least: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/6329396/check-update-available-app-store/6569307#6569307

  • Version of the Oracle client

    Anyone help Pls!
How to check the version of the oracle client installed on my local pc (windows xp)?
I went to start all programs, I can see oracle 10g, 81,92 on my pc.
At the command prompt, I entered sqlplus /nolog it shows the version, but they say it's the version of the server.

If we are talking about an Excel spreadsheet with a macro in VB using ODBC to connect to the Oracle database, which ODBC driver are you using? Assuming you are using one of the ODBC Oracle driver path is irrelevant. The driver name should include the name of the Oracle House (that is to say, the ODBC driver will be named 'Oracle in OraHome92' If you use the ODBC driver in the Oracle home "OraHome92" which, no doubt, would be the home Oracle 9.2 (if there are multiple Oracle homes on the machine with the same version of the Oracle client or if you chose the default names for your Oracle homes that do not include the version number , you can search the registry - that is to say the path of specific directory for a particular Oracle home HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST. INI\Oracle in OraDb11g_home1\Driver will be the full path to the SQORA32. DLL which corresponds to the ODBC Oracle driver OraDb11g_home1 hospitality Oracle on my machine - but that is probably farther in the herbs you want to go). If you use the (long) since depricated Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle, then the PATH comes into play because this driver is not consistent stream.

  • Newb: How to install the utility customer infrastructure on the server? Which product? Open source Versions?

I installed ESXi 3.5 with success to an old IBM eServer in my lab.  I used VMware-VMvisor-InstallerCD - 3.5.0_Update_4 - 153875.i386.iso.

I was also able correctly to install "The VMware Infrastructure Client" on another system and use it to create a virtual of Windows 2008 machine.

    1. I would like to have the same capacity on the server that I now remote, but I don't know which product should be added and how you actually add it produces.

    2. in addition, I don't know if I even installed the 'good' version of the server. I hope that I have installed a version that I can continue to be used for an unlimited number of times. If I didn't, then I would like to know what version of VMware for my server, I should install so I can continue to learn and test with falling on "your evaluation has expired."  It took a while to get this set up and I don't want to keep doing this over and over again.

    3. is there any place on the VMware site which has represented product relationships? Who has drawn different platforms?

I do not know if I use the 'correct' and don't know where to go to fix this. I think it's something that VMware do as simply as possible for beginners like me.

    Thank you very much

    Steve

vSphere is really a marketing term used in references to the VMware virtualization platform the datacenter version - it refers to the suite of vMware products has just published including ESX 4.0, ESXi 4.0 and vCenter 4.0 and other parts.  The previous version had a similar title Virtual Infrastructure 3 or VI-3 referring to the software suite consisting of ESX 3.x, ESXi 3.x, Virtual Center 2.x and other parts. VI - 3 and vSphere have their respective customers - the vSphere client can be used to manage vSphere components while the client VI-3, Virtual Infrastructure Client (VI Client) can only mange VI-3 components. Now with this base I will try to answer your questions

    • If you are using your server ESXi 3.5 vSphere client is part of an environment of vCenter vSphere - because as part of the upgrade [to vCenter 4.0 can handle a server ESXi 3.5 -

    • It is not a tool open source I know to be taken in charge or not supported.

    • The platform of the last and largest is the line of products - ESX, ESXi 4 and vCenter 4 vSphere 4

    • The best free platform is ESXi 4 - this is the State of the art virtualization platform - it is available for free, but you'll still have to record it with VMware to get a valid license.  VMware has also a hosted virtualization platform that turns over operation called VMware Server - but ESXi has a higher level of performance-

    Hope this clears up things
