  I got a Thoshiba Satellite L 30 - X 10 running Vista Home Basic. I have an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics card. I am able to read DVDs and games that don't require open gl, but when I try to play Wolfenstien or call of duty it get the message that it cannot open the GL and I need to update my drivers.

  I updated my drivers, it still does not work.

  In the Ati Catylst program it says I have the above card and it gives me the 3d map 28octobre but says no version available on the video card, even though device manager says it's working properly. Help.

  Can someone please help me as I'm not familiar with Vista.

  my computer will also create save points, but does not restore on any of my points of backup might it have an impact on the open gl for the games as everything else works well.

  I don't know if this may be a good solution but perhaps it s worth a try:

  1. download the latest version of the software here touchpad:
  http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
  2. remove the old software
  3 reinstall the downloaded software
  4. go to mouse properties and check if everything is set up (especially the scrolling feature)

  How about the connection to the LAN?
  Have you checked it?

  From my point of view there would be some kind of problem with the WiFi modem/router as the laptop is already connected to the router correctly.
  If in doubt recommend you also contact your ISP (internet service provider).

  My internet point of view, availability of connection must be checked!

• Satellite L670 - after Win 8 upgrade WIFI does not work properly

  Afteer upgrade to Win 8, the WiFi of my Satellite L670-128 has stopped working properly.

  The connection only works some time, usually only a few seconds before the connection is lost.
  After a few seconds or minutes the connection is restored, just soon to be lost again.

  Cannot download large files or even to see larger photos on normal web pages. Is there any Win8 driver for Broadcom coming 802.11n network card, or should I throw one 2.5 year old computer in the trash?

  Buy a usb-wlan card is not an option, as wireless mice is already "permanently" reserving one of the three usb ports and wlan card it would be just to the left...

  To my knowledge this L670 series isn t Win 8 taken in charge and this means that there is no special Win 8 drivers for this device, so I put t think you will find an another Win 8 driver for this WLan card.

  But do you really want to throw this laptop in the trash just because the wifi does not work properly running Win 8?
  The device was working properly under Win 7?

  I would recommend running a few Wlan test.
  For example; Disable wireless encryption on your router and Wifi connectivity with the open network do that just for testing purposes, perhaps you will need to change the type of encryption to test.

  There is however no driver XP for the L300D. But I found a LAN driver for XP wireless that would work.

  Download and install
  -Wireless Lan Driver Realtek Semiconductor Corporation Windows XP 6.1116.1226.2007

  If this does not work, you can have an Atheros Wireless LAN card. If this is the case, look at the other models for an Atheros Wireless LAN Driver XP.

  I bought a Satellite P500-1CK with Windows 7 64 bit. Cause I don't need, I replaced it with Windows 7 32 bit and now my WIFI does not work.

  I tried many drivers, Toshiba drivers and Realtek drivers, old and new versions. Installed and uninstalled them again and again. But it does not work. In the Device Manager, there is no error and no question mark. The map will be displayed as a RTL 8191SE, it's true. I've identified the vendor & device ID also.
  The other FN keys works like a charm, but FN + F8 does not appear. The wireless switch is active and the led is orange.

  When I type "cmd" then "ipconfig/all" it will be only shown the PCI Atheros Gigabit Adapter with the IP address, but not the adapter WLAN of Realtek.

  Searched Google @ and spend hours and hours, but I am at my wits end... Please help me.

  You have configured the WiFi network properly? I mean that you must make sure that you have chosen the good encryption (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.) and the right encryption password!

  You can also disable all the security settings on your router and was able to connect the notebook to open WLan but it must be done only for testing purposes.
